I've been here once for drinks and golf. I returned and it was my first time to have a meal here. Had a reservation for Saturday lunch. Got there 45 minutes early for the brunch first that was included in the package. They do not accept reservations except for the weekend brunch. The front desk staff were nice. Despite having a reservation, we waited for a long time before we got seated. When we did, our orders took a long time to be served too. Food was alright. The Accompanied Scrambled Eggs Isle of Skye had smoked salmon, creme fraiche, and herbs. The eggs were cooked fine but the meal was lacking flavor. The classic French toast served with bacon and maple syrup was alright. Shakshuka was alright as well. Food-wise, it's 4/5. Nothing special. Service is also 4/5. Showed up 20 minutes before 5 as a chaperone for two 17 year olds. The two teens were the only ones hoping to play. We were told the wait was too long for the before 5 rule, so due to traffic we drove into the city for nothing. The website hours are confusing, stating different open hours on different pages, as well as different hours on Google. A pop up with information popped up for some of our devices, but not others. All in all, confusing information all around, and a disappointing experience for everyone. Went on a Friday evening and it was busy, but not so packed that we couldn't enjoy ourselves. My girlfriend and I each had 2 drinks and both were really good. We also got the sausage bites and smashed potatoes, which were tasty and a little lighter than a lot of bar food. Okay, I LOVED this place. I first saw it on TikTok when I was scrolling around for things to do in Richmond, and my husband and I (both mini golf lovers) knew we had to check it out. The vintage 1920s/30s vibe is totally on point. It feels like stepping into a stylish, old-world hotel in another era. When you "check in," the staff is dressed in bellhop blazers (so fun), and your scorecard is actually a paper luggage tag. From there, you go through the course, which is themed like the interior of a hotel (lobby, hallways, rooms, etc.). There are 13 holes. My husband commented that because the "greens" are carpeted, it's a little different than a putting green and can be more challenging. I didn't mind it though, and I think that's part of the charm. One of the coolest parts: on the final hole (called the Hellmouth), if you make a hole-in-one, you earn a free special T-shirt. My husband actually did it! They also have a variety of shirts for sale with fun vintage designs, so I picked one up. They also have a bar and food. We ate elsewhere beforehand, so we just stayed after our game for drinks at the bar. It's a great touch to make it more of a full date-night experience. Because it's indoors, it's perfect rain or shine. No worries about weather ruining your evening. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Greene for a really fun and unique date night. Such a great idea and fun place for friends or a date night! Showed up on a Thursday night around 7pm and had to wait an hour to start the game. However, in the meantime, we sat at a table and ordered drinks and meat and cheese platter. Not sure if the kitchen was busy or not, but it did take a long time for the platter to arrive and within a few minutes, they said our game was ready to start. Great little 13 hole course and options to order drinks as well when you're playing the course. We were a group of 4 and by chance myself and another friend happened to hit a hole in one at the last hole and got some free T-shirts, which was a cool surprise. What a fun place to go with friends! I went here with a group from work for a team building stress reliever after a 3 day intense training. When I tell you this was so much fun... we started with some light hors devours and drinks by the bar, I had a drink called Sebastopol sunset , a very pretty sweet drink topped by a beautiful flower. This place is set up in a restored hotel. The lobby menu provided us with meat and cheese plates, a crab on toast and shredded pork on toast, carrots, green beans, crackers, hummus on toast... basically all kinds of goodies. This was such a cute concept and a perfect place to have fun with friends. Who would have thought to set up a mini golf game inside an old hotel??? Crazy right? I know.. I know.. but it was perfect. What we enjoy about Hotel Greene: They have an ambassador hour where they have a new country every few months and for $20 you can get a plate of themes appetizers and a round of golf - the biggest appeal to that is you get a 'passport' and a stamp from each country you go to and there's rewards when you reach 6 and 12 stamps. The golfing is fun for sure and unique. What we don't love: They need to put some thought into how to help people flow through golf easier. There doesn't seem to be any organization behind getting people seated to eat and getting people golfing. There were a lot of people waiting when we were there last time and we waited a long time before being able to order food which of course made everyone else waiting for a table have to wait any longer. I wish they were able to change up the holes every now and then. We have played there 4 times and it's all the same each time. Attended a private event held at Hotel Greene recently for the holidays. The decor was giving Alpine lodge and the themed cocktails and food were highlights. The staff during the event were friendly and helpful and really made it a great experience. The only thing that was difficult to navigate is the close quarters of the mini golf course. The start of one was often right next to the end of another so it made things a little difficult to navigate. Because we all knew each other, we could joke and tell each other to move but I do wonder if this makes for awkward moments when the course is open for regular business. It's also a shame that the street parking around it is a 2 hour cap, though I don't fault the business for this. I ended up parking in a lot down the street. This was a suggestion for a get together with close friends. We're all over 60 years old. I can't comment on the food, because we didn't order anything to eat. This is the most unique mini-golf that I've ever been to! There's a really great fictional backstory to the hotel, that's definitely worth reading, on their website. It's a fun story! Hotel Greene is inside the old John Marshall Hotel, in Richmond, which was built in 1929, and was one of the grand hotels of it's age. One of my friends told me her parents had their wedding reception there many decades ago. The hotel was closed in 2004, and later converted to upscale apartments in 2011. Hotel Greene was born in 2019. The miniature golf has 13 holes and takes about 45 minutes. Keep in mind that after 5 pm Hotel Greene is 21+ ONLY. Do you need reservations? They are walk-in only, except for brunch hours on Saturday and Sunday (10am-2pm). You can go to their website to make reservations. If you do not want to eat brunch, you can still reserve and opt out on arrival, which is what we did. The actual playing is a TON of fun! In one of the holes, you're hitting the ball down a hallway and trying to bank the golf ball into an open hotel room. On the 13th hole, if you can get a hole-in-one, you get a t-shirt. It's NOT easy! The staff told me they give away anywhere from zero to 4 shirts a day. I do have some complaints! We did during the summer. This area is NOT air conditioned well, and got unbelievably hot. I can't believe they would not take care of this! Also, some areas are VERY dark, some spotlights are out, and again, it's surprising that they don't spend a few dollars to replace the bulbs, and actually install additional lighting. My other issue was the servers who were bringing us drinks. I've never seen more unhappy people. These young women looked like being there was THE last place they wanted to be. My opinion is that if you don't like the job, quit, otherwise be pleasant and smile because you're the face of the company and are paid to help ensure the customers will return. On the flip side, the folks at the front desk were incredibly helpful, smiling, friendly, helpful, and professional! As of the date of this review, a round of mini-golf cost $16. Edited to add: I forgot to add that there is street parking but be VERY careful where you park. Pay attention to the signs because I thought I parked in a legitimate space, but ended up with a $60 parking ticket! read more

This was my second time at Hotel Greene and I had an absolute blast, the decor was themed for the winter which was super fun. Every round of golf gets a unique postcard that appears to change seasonally which is a fun souvenir. The bar had some unique drinks that were delicious and reasonably priced. They also had a few drink and snack specials which would be great for a date night. The golf course is 12 holes themed after a hotel, I will say that the course can feel a bit redundant if you've already done it once. It is much more fun playing the golf course with a new group if you're going to do it more than once. It was a bit busy even on a weekday but our wait was no longer than 15 minutes which gave us time to peruse the menu and order drinks, you can bring your drink with you while golfing as they have perches and coasters everywhere. We were told you could also order from the course as servers would walk around, however we did not see anyone, so unsure how that works. But the bartenders and "concierges" at the front were extremly nice and accomodating. The Thursday night special for a date night was definitely a deal you get a could have 3 food options to share for 2 the food was definitely enough and taste fresh and came out hot. The turkey club and salad was my fave. The garlic French bread pizza was also delicious the French bread had a nice crunch light on the garlic and the cheese had a nice pull to it. The wings were ok just a bit salty for my liking but still good. The sparkling red rose amazing and chilled. Their brunch deal is awesome it's $25 for a meal + a round of golf (you eat first and then the waiter checks in whenever you're ready to play). I love Hotel Greene! It's a great place to go play mini golf "inside a hotel". They themed the entire area as if you are in a hotel, but you are playing mini golf. When you walk in, they have a coat rack area, some seating, and straight ahead a spot to "check in". My friends and I did not get to mini golf but we got a bunch of fun mocktails because their mocktail menu was quite extensive! Off the regular mocktail menu we got the viennese elixir and hibiscus lemonade - both of which were delicious. I would have to say the star of the show is was the swizzles and twizzles - if you like a sweet drink, this is a MUST, so pineapple-y and just perfect. I highly recommend checking out Hotel Greene as they have tons of food options (including brunch) and drink options, which are all amazing. The service and ambiance are also amazing! They do have golf + food options available as well. Just mini golf is $16/pp. They have ambassador hour which is $20/pp where you can mini golf and get an appetizer sampler plate. I ordered a small dessert because they told us it would be an hour wait for golf and then 15 minutes later they started taking people back who had gotten there after us. I am so happy I did Hotel Greene with the brunch and mini golf! I always thought just the mini golf was expensive. Brunch and mini golf special is offered on Saturday and Sunday. It is reservation only. What a deal and an experience it is on the weekend! Brunch included a selection of a main entrée and a coffee or tea. I added a breakfast mimosa. I enjoyed a veggie omelet, fruit, potatoes, and a coffee. When we finished our meal we were guided to our "tee time". We had no wait to begin mini golf. I was surprised we were able to carry drinks throughout golfing and a server came to us while playing to order drinks then delivered them to us. The mini golf was challenging. As an avid mini golf player, this "course" was nothing like I have experience before. It was fun and was themed to "hotel"! The price of brunch and mini golf combo was only $10 more than JUST the regular price of mini golf. I highly recommend making a reservation to have a weekend brunch and mini golf experience! BLUF: This place is amazing! I'm coming back every time I'm in Richmond! Experience (5/5): $16/person for 13 holes. This place used to be a hotel that they turned into a 13 hole putt-putt course. It's 1 level, but it's so cool & fun. I think we were here for about an hour or so. At hole 13, you have to get the ball in the painting's mouth. If you miss, the ball goes away & the game is done. If you make it, you get a t-shirt that no one can buy! The holes are very small, but it's putt-putt, so don't expect a more than 15'. There are some obstacles at each hole to make it a little more interesting. There was only one con when I went (this isn't against the establishment, so this doesn't affect the rating). When we went, there was a massive party ahead of us. I think we counted 8 people. They were wasted, yelling, and holding up the entire course. The benefit from that: we got to play each hole like 3 times while we waited for them to pick themselves off the floor and get to the next hole. Drinks & Food (5/5): The drinks were very festive when we went! I also had French Bread Pizza Chorizo & Basil ($11); it's basically a baguette bread cut in half with cheese on it. I didn't see any chorizo on it, but I did find the basil. Service (5/5): Service in the lobby, on the course, and at the bar was fantastic. When you get there, you put a card down for the party & all charges get added to the card. Makes it feel like an all-inclusive resort... then you get hit with the hill at the end HAHA. But it was ok! We only racked up the bill to $100 for a party of 2 (with only 1 person drinking). One of my favorite parts was that you can order drinks while playing!
