I only ate the omlette, which was cooked properly. Get sandwich and fries...not...breakfast food.

ur server was excellent.l; but, our food was inexcusable and horrible! Don't go for Brunch!! 1. Steaks were ordered Medium; and, ALL steaks were well done. 2. Pancakes were cold; and, sent back to the kitchen to be microwaved. 3. Bacon was undercooked and not eaten. 4. Home fries were gummy - gross. I will not visit this restaurant for a long time. Hopefully, they will invest in a qualified cook for Sunday brunch.

    Happy hour

The food here is really good. The portion size is more than enough to fill you up. The service is perfect. The ambiance is western. It is a bar for both the younger and older crowd, inside it is a chill environment. The bartender I met is very friendly. The Bison Burger is phenomenal! It was cooked to perfection and pretty big. The photos are below. If you go between 3pm and 6pm it is happy hour Mon-Fri. There are a lot of items half priced during this time.

So much fun! We were heading to GAR for a friend's surprise birthday party. I am not a bar kind of person, but I am all about my friends so was happy to go. This is a bar with two different sections. One is a western bar complete with a mechanical bull. We were in the band section with a band playing 90s music. It was so much fun! We danced a ton and had adult beverages that were expertly crafted. The bartenders were totally professional. If I was a bat person? I'd be here every weekend What a fun place.

Southside is in dire need of a unique dining establishment that doesn't attract saloon style debauchery, unfortunately, things aren't looking too good for GAR. There are many positive things about the place that just need to become the focus of the restaurant. The staff is great! They are personable and attentive. They are accommodating to order changes and very polite and genuinely apologetic for a slow kitchen. The food was good and they have a good craft beer selection. They have a nice happy hour as well, so I think they'll be around for a little while for specials alone. The place hyped up the food and drinks, and has potential to bring in a crowd that appreciates craft cocktails and good food. Unfortunately your experience is much more of a theme place that will most likely end up like a South beach or Daisy Dukes (quick sandwiches and buckets of BudLight). From the forced uniform of cowboys/cowgirls and the "Howdy y'all" when you walk in the door, the theme may ultimately be the downfall of the place.

Mostly potato, peppers, onions, and weird cubes of unrecognizable meat that tastes nothing like corned beef.

There is minimal oversight in the kitchen, evidenced by the following four examples: 1. Biscuits with sausage gravy tasted good, but was ruined by biting down on a hard seed, looked like it was from an orange. Thanks guys! 2. Eggs had shell cooked into the egg itself. 3. Corned beef hash was basically frozen "Potatoes O'Brian" (cubes of potato /w peppers and onions) with cubes of bland and firm meatstuff. Dish had to have been created by a guy who obviously hates corned beef hash or has no earthly idea what the heck it's supposed to taste like. "Homemade" my foot. Adding a frozen bag of potatoes, peppers, and onions to a weird meat thing is lazy. Worse, the dish is mostly potatoes. You guys must he making a killing, offsetting your food cost. Photo attached. 4. Cheese grits had a fly. Photo attached. Right on top. Still boxed and served. Frankly, it's a bummer. CHECK PLEASE!

A pretty laid back atmosphere. Waiter was very nice and attentive. I went with a group of friends , first time there. I ordered mozzarella sticks which were super yummy, really enjoyed those and would go back to order them again. Half rack ribs was good and tender. Someone got the dry rub chicken wings but it didn't have much flavor, it was juicy but just not much flavor. Chicken tenders are huge, looks like they use chicken breasts which is awesome especially for the price however everyone's tenders came out a little burnt or tasted a little burnt. I enjoyed my food though. My friend said usually the tenders are pretty good, so maybe it was just an off day.

Love Love Love Great American Ranch!!!!! So happy we discovered this gem!!!! We have been coming here weekly and I realized I have not yet made a review!!! Fabulous atmosphere and great food!! Most importantly (for me) KID FRIENDLY!!!!!! Staff is super friendly and fast! Always willing to let me little one "ride the bull" it honestly makes his whole day! The tractor is just like a playground for him as well. Always love a place that can distract the toddler. ;) Thank you for being amazing!!!! Plan to keep coming weekly (at least)

This was our first visit to Charred and will quickly say we had a nice meal. Now I will say that…read moreI've round up my overall star rating. If I could I would have given it 4 1/2 stars, because it was good but not great but definitely well enough not to drop it to a 4. Let's start with the location: very nice and everything seems real clean and cared for. Even the men's room was decent at 6:00 pm at night. Now our server: Sidney was very attentive to us. She took very good care of us during our stay. Now the meal: Again it was good. The wifey had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. She tells me the sauce had a nice flavor but the chicken really had no flavor. Certainly not a Blackened flavor you would expect. The chicken itself was good and tender. As for me I had Shrimp and Grits. It also was good. It had onions and peppers in it and again the flavor of the onions and peppers just want there. Who knows. We also had the Brick Oven Brie. There was a really nice amount of Brie. So much that the toasted bread ran out way before the Brie. So as I said this was a good place and meal despite my small hits in this review. I firmly recommend this place because I do expect you to have a nice meal. Ps. To the owners: your link to your website doesn't work via Yelp. To potential customers: you will have to go your search engine and find the Charred site.

We thought…read morewe were going to have to wait for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised that the patio was open on a first-come, first-served basis, so we sat outside. It was a pretty nice evening with a light breeze. It was perfect, since they had over-the-top heaters and then a beautiful heater that came on at the end of the patio. We started out by ordering some old-fashioned drinks to sip, and they were amazing! Beautifully made and spot on with the flavor. For food, we decided to order from the three-course dinner menu. My husband started with a steakhouse wedge salad, and I had the chicken tortilla soup. Wow, both were so yummy. My husband could not say enough about his salad. My soup was bursting with flavor and full of chicken. And because we apparently needed to be extra, we had to order the lobster spinach queso because it sounded amazing, which it certainly was. It was full of lobster, spinich and pepper jack cheese!!! For the entree, my husband had the wood-grilled chicken, and I ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. He said the entree was incredible. He loved the mushrooms and tomatoes grilled on top and especially raved about the parmesan mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My grilled salmon and shrimp were spot on. The shrimp were thick, and the salmon was grilled to perfection. Both were topped with a light aji amarillo sauce that was fantastic together. To me, the ancient grains pilaf topped the whole thing off, the salmon with the pilaf and sauce were a perfect three-piece combo that had me wanting more and more with each bite. For dessert, we both ordered the petite creme brulee cheesecakes. At this point, I was bursting, but the gorgeous vision in front of me could not be wasted!!!! The cheesecake had a perfect light crunch on top and paired beautifully with the fruit and dollop of whipped cream on the plate. Our server was kind and prompt with our food, even when she seemed very busy. Overall, it was fantastic, and we have plans to return.

Service: My server, "Fin", was excellent! We was attentive,…read moreengaging, instinctively knew my pace and respected it. I had questions about the menu (the steaks) and she was able to answer half of them and while she didn't know the answers to my other questions she did willingly seek out the answers. Fin is a Rockstar. Ask for her my name. Food: Also excellent. The chicken tortilla soup is okay. (It comes with sour cream and I am not sure if it said that on the menu. I don't like s.c.). The pre-entreé bread was fresh and hot. Nice :) The steak was cooked perfectly! Maybe just a pinch over seasoned for me, but nothing to complain about. The only thing I can and will speak negatively about was plate presentation. That was bad. Blah. Unappealing and uninviting. Ambience: It was okay. As to be expected from Firebirds. It is well lit, a little loud but still easily able to have a conversation. This would be a 5 star review if it wasn't for one thing. Training and staff knowledge. I recently went to another local Firebirds and I had asked the waitstaff and front of house manager a couple of questions about their steaks. All the answers I received were incorrect. I know they were incorrect because their corporate executive chef and I had previously chatted about it. When I contacted Firebirds about this the GM of this located invited be back. When I went to this location I asked the same questions and I still did not received the correct answers. So, clearly Firebirds has some systemic issues with their training program. Ultimately this could have negatively affected my experience but since I already knew more that the staff did, it did not. So, here, today, I have to give 4 star. Better training would have gotten them a 5 star. I spoke with the GM of this location at the time of my visit. He was fully engaged and did not hesitate to take ownership of his staff's training and knowledge and assured me that they will do better moving forward. From our friendly conversation, I believe him. Maybe I will try a Firebird location in Richmond in another six months and ask the same questions. Let see if their training improves. (P.S., sorry for no pictures)
