I frequent here a lot, the food, price and atmosphere are stellar, but on this Saturday I was met with gracious host by the name of Ruth. Ruth was attentive, fast and a pleasant to deal with. I was taken aback by her and went to sought out a manager to give her praise. It turns out, she was a manager. Keep up the good work, for this is turning out to be one of my favorite breakfast spots. If you are looking for some homemade breakfast food, but in a restaurant....then this is the place for you. We have been here on multiple occasions, including lunch and it is absolutely delicious. It's not the typical waffle house or IHOP, baby this is real food. I'm talking local sausage, real eggs, real everything! There is so much to choose from on the menu. The parking is crazy because let's be honest IT'S THAT GOOD! (They are currently building a new location for Midlothian) The interior is cozy and country. My friends and I stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and the people were friendly and welcoming. This is not your average diner, Brickhouse has a huge selection. There is something on the menu for everyone. For lunch, I am a "burger guy" and Brickhouse is definitely the place to go if you crave a great hand crafted steak burger. I chose the Philly Burger and it was perfectly cooked and presented. The flavor was fantastic. Two of my friends ordered the Smokehouse Burger and the Pepper Jack Bacon they were well pleased. The grilled chicken sandwich was excellent! The world isn't all about burgers and Brickhouse has salads, sandwiches, soups and subs. I have not tried the breakfast menu yet but there are a lot of standard items and other items and breakfast combos to really start your day off right. The Brick House has moved locations from Midlo Tnpk to Westchester. Their new building is really nice. We were there on the first day opened and everyone was excited and lots of energy. My sister and I had a great mimosa! I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and my sister ordered a gyro. The plate of spaghetti was huge! However, I did not like the sauce at all and could not eat it. My sister is allergic to tomatoes and ordered her Gyro with no tomatoes but it came with tomatoes. So they had to remake her gyro. The waiter apologized for the spaghetti but even though I only had two bites of the spaghetti I was still charged full price. We left paying $76 for mediocre food :( read more

Delicious breakfast! I treated my husband to breakfast before going grocery shopping at Wegmans. We didn't have any food in the house so it was a nice little outing. The parking was tight, but I feel like there was plenty for this busy place. We sat outside under their tent. The weather was warm and rainy so it worked for the day, but I could see it getting cold. I had never been to Brick House for anything other than breakfast before. If you've ever been here, you'll know that they have a LINE at the door to get in for breakfast. They added mimosas to their menu so I'm sure that helps too. Anyway, lynch time it was and I wanted to find somewhere I hadn't been too before so here I was, ordering lunch from a previous breakfast spot. Sometimes that can go right and sometimes that can go wrong. Fortunately, it went right here. Now, they do have an eclectic mixture of lunch items from pasta to garlic bread to gryos. It's not a typical lunch menu. But it was nice too because if you aren't feeling one cuisine, you have options! I tried the gyro and the garlic bread. Both weren't the best in terms of flavor but they were decent considering that neither cuisine was a speciality at this business. The restaurant is very nice, but they are so popular that you may be offered a table in an outdoor area surrounded by plastic tarps & heated with space heaters. My family and I plus grandparents visited yesterday around 5:30 pm. Since it was a Wednesday night they were not that busy but still had a nice crowd. We had a table of 7 and were seated immediately with no wait. The restaurant is on the smaller side but still feels cozy. Our waitress was very attentive. The food came out quickly and piping hot. We ordered the Lasagna, Spaghetti, Pork Chops, Brick house BLT, Triple Decker club, Steak sandwich and the Crispy Chicken Filet. The portions were huge for the price! Everyone loved their meals and most had leftovers to enjoy today. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone in a group or family since they offer a huge variety of foods to please anyone. read more

The old location was a hidden gem with great food, friendly staff, and fast service. The only drawback was limited parking. We have been to the new location 3 times. Parking is worse and the traffic into and out of the parking lot is a nightmare due to poor design and lack of signs that results in people driving the wrong way. All 3 visits we waited twice as long for a table as we were told. The seating capacity of the new location looks to be about the same. It took 30-40 minutes to get our food. As always, the food was excellent. I hope that they get the kinks worked out with the staff (a lot of new faces) and the kitchen. read more

Flat out being ignored for so long despite them not being busy at all was quite disrespectful. Finally someone asked had we been helped, when we responded no she left to go get a different employee. No kind of apology for the lack of service. It was our waitresses first day so she didn't really know the menu super well-fine I knew what I wanted. The food didn't take too long to come out. I got a strawberry mimosa and it was good! There's no ice in there so no watery business. Their house salad is sad. The mozzarella sticks were good-seemed fresh! I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was pretty good. Doesn't come with any condiments on it. I went for tots instead of fries and they were good! Heard the Reuben didn't have enough sauce on it. It's been a while since I've eaten here, and I'm so glad I decided to go back. We went on a Tuesday morning at 8am and it was popping, which in my book means they're doing something right. I got a strawberry mimosa, two eggs, and breakfast potatoes. My friend got an omelette with potatoes and when he ordered they offered him a biscuit or pancakes as a side...offering pancakes as a side option is pretty unique and allows you to get a sampling of savory and sweet! One thing to be mindful of is the parking situation! I would recommend driving with other people in your party, because there is limited parking. Anyone would think I'm nuts to give this place another shot at a decent review but such was not the case. Gyro sandwich meat was dry as sawdust, nothing tender about it so aside from the pita bread, onions, tomatoes, and tiziki sauce the sandwich was a bust. Carbonated water was $2.50 a glass and the server never gave a refill although one was needed 5 minutes before she even came back to hand us the bill. Omg so yummy in my tummy . After looking over their fairly large menu, it was very difficult to decide just one thing. I asked our server a few clarifying questions and finally decided. The wait time from the time we ordered to the time we were served was average/acceptable. After just a couple of bites, my taste buds were having a party in my mouth . It was so good that I immediately started thinking that I wanted to order another meal. And I I really wanted to because it was that good. I am glad I didn't, though, because the portions were large enough to keep me full. This wasn't our first time at BHD, and it will not be the last. The server was a bit slow to greet and bring drinks, but the food came quickly once ordered. Everything was very enjoyable: the pancakes were fluffy, the home fries were thick yet thoroughly cooked, the gravy was flavorful, and the eggs were all cooked correctly. The service and host staff seemed more than a little confused, but the kitchen staff obviously know their business. Overall a pleasant experience. I went for brunch because I had heard so much about the breakfast and thought this is a great for me because I don't have to drive downtown from Midlothian for a good breakfast/brunch. I couldn't decide on what meal and my waiter spoke highly of the pancakes so I went with the pancake meal and a passion fruit mimosa. First the mimosa, I was looking forward to the pineapple passion fruit however I was told they don't use passion fruit so it's really just pineapple juice what a bummer. In view of this, I asked for the Sunset but I believe I still got the pineapple because the Sunset should have cranberry and I saw no sign of cranberry. Now to the pancake combo which came with two eggs, potatoes, grits, or baked apples along with your choice of meat. My bacon was basically burnt, I'm not a fan of crunchy bacon but this was past crunchy and typically when I see eggs are included they are usually scrambled which I said scrambled with cheese medium but they do more of an omelette (I'm sure if you asked for a different style it would be cooked that way). Regardless of the egg style they did cook them medium as requested but I was expecting more of a scrambled egg. I'm a potato type of girl and I would give the home fries 5 . Now last but not least the pancakes. They were the best part of my meal (other than the homes fries), light, slight vanilla taste. Make sure you have an empty stomach because they are huge! I do plan to revisit to try the omelettes and baked apples and provide an updated review. A co worker recommended this place when I asked about a good breakfast spot. One morning a co worker and I decided to go get breakfast. It is a nice little place, I liked the atmosphere there. We were seated right away and our server was very nice and attentive. The food quantity was great, I ended up taking food home and taste was great too. We first had bagels with cream cheese which was very good by the way I was expecting more selections on the menu though but this was a great first time experience. They have nice and friendly staff.
