My co workers and I are regulars here now. It is very close to work and we work night shift so when we want some breakfast at 8am when we get off work, this is the place we have been coming to. They all love it here. Service is great, the servers are nice and answer all our questions. We have been sitting outside since it is not too hot in the morning. It looks really beautiful outside. The traditional is my go to but we are always trying different things on the menu. Their potatoes are seasoned and cooked well. Their drinks are pretty good too, we are always trying different drinks as well. For breakfast foods, I recommend. I haven't tried lunch foods yet.

Came for breakfast with our toddler. It's been our go to with her. They have a really nice kids menu and they have crayons for drawing while you wait. Food always comes out quickly. Our orders have always been correct. I will say it is louder than most restaurants, but a nice rustic feel inside. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

I am a big fan first watch. The service is good and the food options are amazing. If you are looking for good but healthy options this is the place to be.

The ambiance was great! Quiet morning. There was literally 4 people in there. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and I couldn't even taste the grits because the onions and peppers over powered it. It was tasty but I had to move it all to the side just to find the shrimp and grits. I'm really disappointed considering this is First Watch. Will I come back definitely not because I had the runs after I ate it.

Food was good. Had the Seoul scramble and it was good. Just spicy enough, over easy eggs cooked correctly. The kimchi was a great addition. Service was friendly, and restaurant was not yet full as we came in a little earlier than the breakfast crowd.

First time today. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It was... average. I thought every dish at our table had very high potential, but each item fell short of great. The biggest issue was with the seasoning. I had the Chorizo-Chili omelette. To be blunt: The sour cream on top of the omelette was the most flavorful thing on the plate. I could tell there were green chilis in there, but more would have been appreciated. There was chorizo, but not enough to really nail the chorizo angle of the dish. And the egg was simply flat-tasting. Once I seasoned with a little salt and pepper the dish perked up and was good. I had the cheesy grits and it was kind of the same situation: The grits were cooked perfectly; creamy and the melted cheese on top was really a nice (and unique!) touch. But seriously under-seasoned. Again, a dash of salt and pepper and they were seriously improved. The Skillet Hash was maybe one egg, but a LOT of potato. Very light on the bacon, onion, tomato, etc... And, again, needed a little better seasoning from the kitchen. The coffee is good: Strong, dark, hot. And the pot is left on the table, so no hoping for the server to come by for a refill. That was appreciated. I gotta give props to the toast. Whatever seeded bread they serve, I could eat a loaf of. Really flavorful and a great mouth feel, lightly toasted. And the service was GREAT! Never did we wait for anything, but we didn't feel like we were being hovered over, either. I think the prices are a little higher than they need to be. Twelve bucks for an omelette so light on ingredients (and flavor) is a little out of line. The do have a really wide selection of dishes, and everything on the menu, breakfast or lunch dish, is available any time they are open, so that's a plus. Next time we're in the RVA we may stop here again, but I feel like there are better options. PS: A+ for their COVID response: They were sanitizing, distancing, masking, etc... to a very high standard.

At some point, my mom had to get up to find someone to take our order, which is not a great start. Service thereafter was neither terrible nor outstanding. But she was polite and prompt, and seemed to get our order right. 3/5 for service. My niece ordered the French toast with eggs, a fruit cup, and sausage. My mom ordered an omelette with grits, and my dad ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich with loaded breakfast potatoes. For my meal, I had a waffle, a fruit cup, and some breakfast potatoes. My mom and I got the pineapple mimosas. They didn't have a ton of vegetarian options, but this definitely worked out just fine. I do still hope that they will add more vegetarian options to the menu, including keeping a little plant-based sausage or bacon on hand. The pineapple mimosa was very delicious and came in a nice, ample glass. The waffle was good. I personally like my waffles a bit crisper, and this one was a bit softer, but it still tasted great. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly cooked. Lovely and crispy on the outside, well seasoned and perfect with ketchup. The fruit cup was also delicious, nice and fresh. Overall, it seemed like everybody enjoyed their meal. 4/5 food The space itself seemed pretty clean, and the booths were nice. Even though the decor was not my personal style, the ambience was still nice overall. 4/5 ambiance Overall, pretty good experience. I'm sure we'll be back.

Shrimp & Grits - The grits had absolutely no flavor (highly recommend using more than water to make them). I assumed the lobster cream sauce was meant to mask the absence of flavor, but since there are more grits than sauce it is hard to go un-noticed. - This was sent back in exchange for an All -American w. Cin-a-bun pancakes. All-American - The cin-a-bun pancake did taste very good. The bacon was bacon. The eggs were good. The homefries were kinda dry as if they may have been sitting for a while. Nashville Chicken Sandwich- The sandwich had potential to taste great. The chicken was nice and thick, but i believe all of the hto sauce may have been poured on just one side of the sandwich. - one side was a plain chicken sandwich which was tolerable. While the other side of the sandwich was extremely hot ! The french fries tasted very good! Classic Burger - Tasted good. Fries were good. The Server we had was somewhat attentive. She was not rude. Just did not see her much. This place is slightly loud- the energy is definitely upbeat. Overall, I dont have it on my list to return - slight underwhelmed.

The decor and the ambiance are invigorating & soul soothing concurrently. On both occasions I ate in the upstairs dining area & I really enjoyed being able to look out their windows & observe the hustle & bustles of Broad Street while dining. The music that played in the background while we dined was the perfect aural companion to a down home Southern cuisine centered meal. As you know, I love when the music in the restaurant compliments the cuisine & Lillie Pearl's playlist is top notch. During our dining time, we ordered their Smoked Wings as our appetizer. The wings were perfectly seasoned & visually appealing. However, I found them to be a bit dry & overcooked for my taste. My dining companion, however, had no problem with the wings texture. She enjoyed them very much. For my main meal, I ordered their Wild Game Burger[a mixture of Waygu Beef, Bison & Wild Boar] with a side order of Fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. It was well seasoned & juicy. The fries were delicious. They were crispy and also perfectly seasoned. I could have eaten a whole plate of just the fries alone. I ordered a cocktail to complement my meal, the Sweetest Thing. It was bright, crisp & a perfect drink for my food. As for Customer Service, Our server was courteous & attentive & knowledgeable about any menu changes we needed to be aware of. Also of note for me was that I had a reservation I needed to change to an earlier time slot & the staff was able to accommodate my request expediently. I also appreciated the fact that they informed me in advance that they were still on the Lunch menu & not dinner as my initial reservations had requested. I find that type of honesty & transparency refreshing & is definitely one of the reasons I will ALWAYS be a loyal Lillie Pearl customer.

On to the meat and potatoes: Got seated quickly (had a res). Server (Caleb) was attentive, but not overbearing which was nice. Helped me out with ordering the brussel sprouts, suggesting them as a side instead of the appetizer (since it was just me) which was cool. Food: Phenomenal. Ordered the braised short ribs with a side of fried brussel sprouts. Short ribs were meaty, super tender, flavorful and plentiful. Served over mashed potatoes. With a (large) side of really good collard greens. The brussel sprouts were different from any other brussel sprout I've ever had. Very much had a "kung pao chicken" vibe to them (that's what Caleb called it, and he was right). Really really good. Only downmark is on the banana pudding. It was "good" don't get me wrong.....but it was super sweet and didn't have any real bananas or Nilla wafers in it. I would have been happy if the serving was 1/2 the size it was (because it was so sweet, couldn't eat the whole thing). Just came off as overly commercial. All in all a great meal, and a great start to a Saturday evening.

I loved the dressing on it so much, I wish I could've bottled it up! I would return JUST for that dressing. One of my friends ordered it for her meal and added salmon, and she also liked it. Another friend ordered the spinach salad and *loved* it. Food overall was just okay. The Huevos Rancheros were fine but missing jalapeños, and my wife's Benedict was decent but had lite hollandaise sauce compared all the Benedict's we've had.
