So excited to have a Paris baguette in short pump! I love bakery like this. There are a million choices and you cannot go wrong with any of them. After I'm done being pregnant I can't wait to try the amazing looking coffee. It's definitely a busy place but the service is fast. If you're looking for a quiet bakery this is not the place. Everything we tried was delicious. My only qualm was it was a hot day outside and very warm inside.

I was excited to try Paris Baguette as I've heard good things about it. There are several pastry cases when you walk in. You grab a tray and tongs to choose your items which is pretty standard. They also have a cold case with prepared sandwiches, salads, and bottled drinks. I saw the salad on their site, but didn't realize it was something that was already packaged and not made to order. I got a chicken curry bun and a cheese tart. Neither had much flavor. I'm honestly super disappointed. I bit into the curry bun thinking it would be as flavorful and full of protein as brecoteas. That was not the case at all. First bite and got a whole lot of air. The cheese tart has zero flavor too. I'd call this visit a bust to be honest. The store was clean and there was someone restocking pastries while I browsed. Everything was fresh. The tables were all full. I'm glad business is going well. She said they're hoping to have online ordering soon. It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking.

If you've visited the bakery at Lotte you will understand this setup. My husband and I were up early. I was going to go to exercise but wasn't feeling it this morning so we decided to try the new Paris Baguette near our house. They open at 6 and we arrived around 6:30. Most of the cases were still empty but they had some stuff out. They also had trays loaded on a cart so I think they were still working on set up. So you grab a tray, put a wax paper liner on it, grab some tongs and pick what you want. I picked a sausage in a croissant, my husband got an apple pastry and we bought two Nutella pastries for our daughters. For drinks I got a coffee, which was delicious, and my husband got a latte. I downloaded the app so I got a free pastry with purchase. I had her heat the sausage croissant and it was delicious but I only ate half and made my husband eat the rest. He says that's why he doesn't always order food because I never finish what I order. ; ) This is a chain. I don't mind that as long as the food is good. It's a franchise too so that means someone owns it and not a conglomerate (at least that's how I want to think of it). It was a little pricey but to me it's not a place to visit daily or weekly. The cakes look amazing and I'm definitely coming back for a slice and a solid cup of joe.

I decided to stop by this morning to try some of their pastries as I'm a big fan of croissants and other French baked goods. It was packed when I arrived and a bit confusing as after standing in line for a while, we learned that each person had to get out of line, get a tray, pick out their items, then get back in line to pay. The line was so long that we couldn't get to all offerings without losing our place in line. I opted for a pain au chocolat, a pain aux raisins and a raspberry almond croissant. I noticed after I got back in line that they had sandwiches and salads, but I didn't want to lose my place in line to check them out. I also would have loved to have gotten a drink and sat down to eat, but there were no seats available. Here are my thoughts on the items I purchased: Pain aux raisins was doughy instead of being flaky and lacked flavor. Pain au chocolat had hardly any chocolate in it and was very bready instead of being flaky. The raspberry almond croissant was the best of the three, but again, was bready and not flaky. None of the three tasted like they were freshly made. Instead, they tasted like they had been made prior and then refrigerated. I know they just opened and have some things to work out, but it's obvious that this is a chain with baked goods that are made in advance.

Delicious pastries and excellent service! 10/10 recommend. Paris Baquette has perfect balanced sweet treats and savory pastries as well. They have a delicious egg sandwich with cucumbers on a soft milk bread. Best Egg sandwich Ive ever had

We went on the first day it was open and enjoyed fast service and great food. My kids really liked the mochi donuts and I loved the sweet potato pastry. We can't wait to go back to try some cakes and coffee next time!

Sticky Milk Buns + Almond Pastry!!!!

°**⁀ REVIEW * I've been going here ever since it's opening, and I'm absolutely OBSESSED! The pastries are always fresh and super flavorful, the drink menu has plenty of options to pair perfectly with your treats, and all their cakes are delicious! The staff is super friendly as well, plus they won't start conversations if you're openly shy/awkward! It's perfect for introverts looking for a new study spot, meetups for different treats, and everyone!! °**⁀ NOTES * It can get kind of cold, so I recommend a jacket/long pants if you plan on staying for a while. Recently (last two visits, one day apart), there's been this smell that's been irritating my nose, but if your sense of smell isn't as hypersensitive as mine, you'll be a-okay!!! °**⁀ TREAT RECOMMENDATIONS * I am COMPLETELY obsessed with their almond pastries, they're perfectly sweet and crispy so TRY THEMMMM OUGHHHHH (unless you're allergic. then don't.) Also, the sticky milk buns may seem simple, but their simplicity makes it absolutely delectable. TRY THE MOCHI DONUTS TOO!!!! If you haven't had mochi donuts ever, try the sugar coated one first!! Then do the other flavors :D

Overall, this location of Brecotea has standard drinks-- I especially enjoy the fruit tea and milk cap selection. Regardless, I have to take off a star for the boba quality the last time I went. After dreaming about this drink literally all week, l returned on Sunday afternoon with my partner. I got the same exact drink but it was nasty this time. (A different person was working, which is likely why, but It was still disappointing.) I only finished it bc I paid for it, but it just was not good. The boba were HARD and when you bit into them, you could see the lack of moisture in the middle. My partner got the pineapple passion fruit tea and liked it, aside from the boba being too hard. They have a gorgeous selection of baked goods, so I also tried the french cheesecake. It was...different. Less rich and way less sweet than your average cheesecake. Featuring a changing/rotating menu of cookies, pies, and cakes, this quaint shop was recently opened by a local Richmond family with the dream of feeding your soul one baked good at a time! At their soft opening over the weekend, I sampled just about everything they had to offer. Not only are the sweet tears gorgeous to look at, they are also ridiculously delicious. Of the three cookie choices, the dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt was my favorite. Rich, buttery, with the perfect balance of salt, sweet, and semi-bitter dark chocolate. Perfectly crunchy edges with a soft, chewy center. The decadent Death by Chocolate brownie was also a knockout. I'm still trying to understand what voodoo magic was used to create the perfectly crisp edges and the sublimely moist, chewy center! While delectable by itself, I fully intend to go back for more to make a brownie sundae next time I need to eat my feelings. At the suggestion of one of the kiddos behind the counter, I opted for the carrot cake over the berry pie. Hard to go wrong here with this classic cake and it definitely did not disappoint. It's on par with any southern grandma's cake but only better! Pies and Cakes also does custom orders with advanced notice! Prior to the brick and mortar, we ordered cakes for several special occasions that were always as beautifully decorated as they were tasty! And as if all this weren't enough, they will have bi-monthly pizza pop ups featuring their very own homemade sourdough!
