    Murat's marathon medal

We wanted to try this family owned local spot and support our local businesses! The couple that runs the cafe are lovely and it's an interesting mix of a cafe with a training facility in the back. The owner, Murat, was a former Olympic Marathon champion in Greece and used to train the Turkish national team. He works with individuals, seniors and others looking to stay fit and flexible. He was very friendly and personable with us and other customers. It's a lovely spot for a coffee or Greek dessert or pastry. We had never tried a Turkish breakfast before, and weren't super hungry, but opted for a breakfast panini to split. It was an interesting mix of flavors with scrambled eggs, pickles, tasty Turkish sausage and a smear of red pepper spread. The place is filled with inviting plants and local artwork and the owners are clearly delighted to serve their neighbors. We were a little surprised to see the steep price increase on food items, but realized the menu posted on yelp was from 5 years ago!! All in all Murat's is a lovely spot to meet up with friends and neighbors over a traditional coffee or pastry. Uploading newer photos of the menu so people can see current offerings.

You might miss Murat's if you're not looking for it. Nice little Turkish cafe in the Gayton area with an even nicer owner, Murat who has his training center adjacent, which produces champion runners. I tried the panini, herbal tea and baklava. Delicious panini with the absolute best feta I've ever tasted. I'm not a baklava fan and this was also the best baklava I've ever tasted.

Discovered this great place today!! Authentic Turkish coffee, tea, desserts and food... we just wanted coffee, which was amazing. Had the pleasure of sitting and sharing stories with the owner, Murat. This is not your franchised coffee place, so come an try something new and delicious!!!

First, when you walk in your are greeted by a kiosk. No people. YOU input your order on the screen,…read moreit asks for a tip - no humans yet. You pay. Somebody yells your name and YOU pick it up. When done, YOU bus your own table. No humans. So what is the tip for? 5 wings and fries is like $13. No drink. A little pricey but ok. The wings; Garlic Buffalo, with ranch fries. The fries were good. Coated with a batter. So if you like regular fries, not sure you would like them. The wings tasted OK. The sauce was pretty mild and packed with I assume jarred garlic bits. The wings were soggy and swimming in sauce. I ate 3. No point in wet soggy wings. The portion was very large - cook the wings longer? I am not sure of the reviews. Maybe this place is new and it is a hit and miss. Maybe people come out to the eating area so they can see what's going on? The look is standard chip shop. Nothing fancy.

Magical Food…read moreWe got a basket of 10 fried boneless wings tossed in mild buffalo sauce, a small bag of buffalo ranch fries, a drink and a complementary cup of the pickle coleslaw. Everything was fantastic. The chicken was crispy to the last wing, flavor of the sauce was excellent. Fries were crispy with great flavor with the buffalo each rub. We ordered a small and the bag was huge. I don't know if that was a mistake but if it was truly a small there would never be a reason to order the large as it could easily feed 4. Ranch dipping sauce was excellent and the coleslaw was surprisingly great. Service Food came out quickly and the staff was friendly. I was a little taken back that there was no one to take our order only iPads but when I was having trouble someone came over to help and was friendly. Ambiance It is a small place with half a dozen tables. Decor is nothing special but it is clean. Price Our meal was $26 but it easily fed both me and my wife so split between us wasn't bad. We love wings and this may be our favorite place we've been to. My wife kept saying this place is "magical". Highly recommended
