The drink was good and the staff was nice. I will give it a four until we can try more drinks.
Drinks are still solid and mochi donuts are fun but the service was dismal this evening. One of the girls working had just returned with food when we walked in over an hour before they closed. She wasn't super friendly but we get it she wanted to eat and we had kids who were slightly undecided. I hurried the kids along in choosing and left an 18% tip. I hadn't noticed that she rang in the wrong drink different than what I said. When it was made I mentioned but said it was okay I would take it anyways then I noticed the cookie on top that we had also asked to not have as one of the kids has celiac and I wanted him to be able to taste it. The girl who rang us up had put in no cookie but the girl who made it hadn't noticed that I guess. The girl making the drink that was incorrect however was INCREDIBLY rude, never smiled, acted like we were a complete annoyance to her life. If you're open and will be open for over an 1.5 more hours acting like customers are bothersome to you is insane. We did not feel welcome in the least and left immediately after receiving the correct drink.
Got Mango Pomelo Sago, I would say their drinks are generally pretty good! The scallion bread was amazing too! I would only change the crystal petals in the Mango Pomelo Sage to the tiny balls that normally come in it. I feel like the texture is better with the traditional ones! Service is pretty fast! They have a pretty big open area, that wasn't too loud! Definitely a nice place to be!
Korean Hot Dogs in Midlothian... Sign me up. This hidden gem has Rice Donuts (but they are still made with flour, so they are not gluten free) excellent coffees and teas, that hit strong, and K.Dogs. It wasn't the right time of day to try them, but I look forward to going back.
I dragged my family here since I have been super into mochi donuts lately. The strip mall itself was a little hard to get in and out of since we missed the driveway the first time, then we had to cross through traffic hit the driveway, the second time. We did eventually get in and it wasn't that bad to get parking or anything since there were plenty more spaces in the back. We ordered six mochi donuts and some of the flavors were standard, but still really tasty: cookies and cream, strawberry, etc. Then we had two flavors that were completely new to us, which was the Japanese melon and what they call raspberry, but was topped with fruity pebbles so I would consider it more a fruity pebble flavor. Which to be fair, I love fruity pebbles, so I would've bought two of them had it been marketed as a fruity pebble mochi doughnut. They were all quite tasty, and if I were just in the mood for mochi donuts, I would probably come to this donut place over any of the others that I have seen so far, the parking situation is so much easier. Hubs was dragging, so he ordered a caramel macchiato and he claims it's one of the better coffees he has ever had. They did not have a ton of coffee choices, but since caramel macchiato is his go-to, he was really happy that it was so easy for him to get a delicious coffee that he loved. I could definitely see dragging my friends here after lunch one day so we can all decide if we want coffee or a smoothie or a doughnut. I really liked that there are choices for pretty much everyone. This place is super unique, the drink choices are really interesting and I have never seen or heard of a cheese foam smoothie before. I'm probably going to drag all of my friends here at some point when we are in the area just for the novelty of some of the items you can order.
Ben Wong's Tea is perfect! I had the brown sugar bubble milk tea and spicy sweet chili fried chicken wings, and both were absolutely delicious. The tea was perfectly sweet and creamy, and the chicken wings were crispy with just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!
Loved the boba here!! I tried their Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba at 50% sugar, and it was DELICIOUS! It was the right amount of sweetness and savoriness of the tea! The roasted oolong was perfectly roasted and a bit less sweet than the Jasmine green milk tea. The mango pomelo was just the right amount of sweetness at 100% and Asian mom approved! :) The ambience was great as they decorated the store with spooky vibes! The cashier told me it took them 3 days and it was well worth it, bc I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It also helped that the group ahead of me were dressed as Mario characters for halloweekend! They also had free samples of their mochi donut! I especially liked the cinnamon sugar, just the right hint of sweetness and chewiness! I would come back again, the only downside was the turn into the shopping center but otherwise a great location for boba!!
The taro bubble milk tea was the perfect treat for a hot summer day Not too sweet. Mochi donuts are so good! Cute little spot, wish there was one closer to me.
This place is super cute! Love the modernistic vibes when you walk in and how friendly everyone on staff was with regards to answering questions I had about the different donut options. Didn't end up loving the taro-flavored one I got, but the texture was still super unique and worth trying! The Tiramisu-flavored tea was pretty good, although very chunky which made it difficult to drink :(
One of the best Boba places in southside! My husband and I stumbled upon this place while visiting our families in Midlothian. Service was exceptional, the variety is fantastic, and the best part..... The quality of their items is superb. I ordered the passionfruit tea, that comes with green tea jelly and I added boba. It was so amazing, not overly sweet, and the boba was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the coffee bubble tea, and he loved it! The mochi donuts are wonderful too; I'm not a donut person at all, but these truly are delicious, don't knock it til you try it. I also loved the atmosphere, it was a little bit quiet in there, but they had a really cute fun green wall where you can take photos. PLUS they have boba plushies for sale and as a boba girly, I had to have one. Highly recommend!
When we arrived, it was a bit late so many of the mochi donuts were already sold, so if you want a wider selection definitely make sure to arrive earlier! Although, the three flavors I tried were all delicious, especially the mango. The frosting was one of the best balances of sweet and fruity flavor I've had.
The interior is cute and clean! I loved the mango pomelo sago drink. Mochi donut tasted great. Staff was friendly!
First time at Ben Wong's Tea and the inside is sooo cute! They have a lot of great options and everything looks really pretty. I mainly went to try the pastries and got the apple and blueberry ones. Unfortunately, neither was really my favorite. The apple was mostly cream with some apple filling, but it didn't taste like apple pie like I was told it would. The blueberry did have a blueberry flavor, but again I mostly tasted just cream. The pastries looked AMAZING, just unfortunately didn't taste as good as they looked. I also tried the macarons, which I liked better than the pastries. Overall, cute place and calm environment. read more
so glad there is a ben wong's in midlothian. while the staples mill location has more pastry variety, the midlo one usually has enough for a few savory options and even more sweet. I always get a salted egg yolk red bean pastry. I love the matcha and red bean mochi bun. and my favorite drink, the lime tea half sweet. I should broaden my drink choices here, but the tea is just so refreshingly good every time. I wish they carried the little mini hot dog buns without cheese that the other location usually has, as that's my favorite savory. the pastries here are usually loaded with cheese which doesn't always agree with me. but this location serves korean hotdogs too so maybe that makes sense. I would love to see them broaden their selection even more! read more
Ben Wong is my favorite boba place. I've only tried about three boba spots in the Richmond area, and even though Ben Wong is the farthest from me, it's always where I go whenever I'm craving boba. I honestly like their boba more than any of the others I've tried because it's not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. I usually stick with the Oreo cream slush, that's my go to,but every now and then I'll try something different. I've had the brown sugar milk tea, the crème brûlée milk tea, and I believe the house bubble tea as well, and I've had no complaints so far. I also really like the atmosphere. It's clean, relaxed, and a nice place to sit. I usually go with my sister, and we'll just sit there and chat. It's definitely our favorite boba spot because their teas are so good. I haven't tried the pastries or cakes yet because I'm always undecided and I don't really like overly sweet things. That said, I see a lot of people raving about them, so I'm planning to try one next time, along with some other teas. read more

I was driving in the area and saw the sign about mochi donuts and had to stop in. I am so excited that there is a place for mochi donuts closer to me. The shop is so cute and they have a big selection of donuts and drinks. I got the brown sugar milk tea and half a dozen donuts. Everything was excellent and I can't wait to get more donuts. read more

Really enjoyed our drinks today! Lots of great options, and service was quick. I used the app to order ahead and it was right on time. My kids wanted to pop in and pick out their donuts and we were not disappointed. We tasted almost all the donut flavors (there are 6 in my fam), and all were delicious. The vibe inside is very inviting, and there a few tables to sit at and enjoy your goodies. For folks wanting to sit outside, there's only one table outside, so probably not the best option for outside snacking. We'll definitely be back again soon! read more
Super cute place with great tea! I branched out from my usual for a strawberry milk tea and strawberry jelly, which the staff let me try (and I'd never had before). They were so friendly and it was delicious! REALLY fresh tasting. We got recommended this place by the owner of Poke Me upstairs (they promote each other) and he said they cut fresh fruit every single day for their teas- I could tell! Definitely worth a visit if you like bubble tea :) read more

This place has the best boba, mochi donuts, and Korean corn dogs in the area. Additionally, it may be the best boba place I've ever been to, and I've been to several. It's clean, trendy, the portions are very reasonable, and so are the prices. The service was friendly and accommodating. I'm literally sitting in here sipping on my boba while writing this review because it's so good! I can't recommend enough!!! read more

Got some awesome mochi donuts from Ben Wong's this morning. The folks working the cash register were helpful and had some great recommendations for drinks and donut flavors. Really accommodating despite my bubble tea ignorance . I went with a dozen assorted flavored donuts and brown sugar milk tea. Great recommendations! I hope to come back with my kids this weekend. Definitely had a fun, family friendly vibe. read more

This place is pretty great, and it's like the only place in Midlothian I could find boba. The cups are so cute because they have a little heart on them and the aesthetic of the store is pleasing. The drinks are definitely on the sweeter side. The 30% sweetness is just right in my opinion. My only complaints are that the iced drinks are more room temperature than I'm used to and the boba balls are a bit soft. But overall, this nicely satisfies my boba craving and it tastes delicious. I'm happy we have this place in Midlothian!! read more

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally was in the area. I got the creme brûlée milk tea, really tasty I highly recommend to try this! I got 30% sugar which was perfect, not too sweet, it was creamy and delicious. Only thing I would change is to have an actual brûlée sugar hard top, it did not but the flavor was good. I got mochi donuts that were made fresh with lots of variety of options. I got coffee, creme brûlée, mango and funnel cake. The creme brûlée donut had the brûlée top and was delicious! The donuts had fun flavors and toppings with a perfect mochi chewiness. Nice small clean shop with ample parking. Will be back when in the area. read more

I've been waiting for a boba tea place to open up in Midlothian and this business is above and beyond my expectations!! The ingredients they use are fresh and delicious and they can even cater to both of my sisters' allergies. They have milk tea flavors like crème brûlée and earl gray and have interesting mochi donut offerings as well. Excited to try their slushy teas too. Plus it's cute inside :3 read more
