The food is always great at this Panera location but the manager is very rude. I have had multiple altercations with the manager and have witnessed her yelling and attacking her staff. Very unprofessional. I had ordered a bagel with cream cheese one day and paid for the cream cheese (perfectly fine). When they gave me the order, it did not have cream cheese and the manager argued with me saying I had to pay for it, when I already did. She eventually realized she was in the wrong but still gave an attitude and tossed cream cheese in the bag. I only go to this location because it is conveniently near my job. read more

I ask the guy behind the counter and he tells me that breakfast is over... I was upset because I still had 2 minutes but he said the computer shuts off at 10:28 for breakfast. SO if that's the case, why do you advertise that breakfast is until 10:30 if it really isn't. He saw me there for 15 minutes and proceeds to tell me "sorry nothing I can do"... OKAY, I guess... I ended up walking about because I was annoyed since he was a manager and was being rude. MY NEXT BAD EXPERIENCE WHICH IS THE GROSS ONE... I went with my friend for lunch. I ordered their panini that has mozzarella, arugula, and tomatoes, with a side of a salad. I start eating my sandwich with ease. When I eat I hold my food the whole time but every once in a while I look down (I'm the freak that can't eat unless the room is fully lit). I happened to look down at my sandwich and saw something odd... When I looked closely, I saw an ant/bug/critter in the sandwich.................... And it wasn't like the ant/bug/critter had just crawled onto it, it was baked into the BREAD... I was so disgusted I couldn't eat anymore. I ordered on DoorDash, accepted the delivery fee and waited 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, I get a call saying I'm out of their area and they are "Panera Dadeland" and it's too far to Pinecrest. Am I the only one that wasn't really impressed with Panera? I've had two soups, a sandwich, and their "famous" croissant. Their famous croissant was okay, but I still wouldn't call it the best in Miami like the New Times did. UVA 69's croissants were way much better (even though I know it's north of downtown and not south). The soups, were kinda salty and ultra-thick. Even the French onion soup - which is supposed to be thin, not gravy-thick. It was kinda gross. And the broccoli/cheese soup? It looked like cafeteria food and tasted like one. I'm sure it would look better if I had asked for it in a sourdough dough - but I doubt that would have saved it. The best part of the meal really was the sandwich - the bacon turkey sandwich was in a tomato bread and that was interesting. It had a good flavor. But is it really good enough for me to return to Panera? Honestly, not really - as most of the sandwiches here isn't enough to convince me to eat at the chain often. I'm not big on sandwiches, and Miami is full of sandwich shops (although I'll admit it'll be difficult to find a tomato bread or whatever they call it). First time I was here the manager spoke to an employee like she was a dog. This time, there was confusion with whether or not we added bacon to the salad, and my girlfriend noticed when a few bites in that it was not added, at this point we thought we paid for it. So we went up front to order a chicken noodle soup to go instead, and mentioned the not-added bacon to ask if we could put the price of the never added bacon towards the soup, to which the employee replied "you should have told us when you were eating it"... lol. Anyways, she grabbed a manager and they took a dollar off of the soup. While waiting, the manager called for us to look at the old receipt to "let us know we never paid for the bacon", and proceeded to state "but it's done now so it doesn't matter", which if it didn't matter why bring it up? We didn't mind paying for the soup if the accident was brought up to us initially but she had to search for some reason to make it seem as if she did us a favor. I love this place, it's probably one of the few restaurants out there with healthy alternatives that doesn't consist us eating like rabbits. I'm sure everyone eaten here before so the explanation of the menu isn't necessary, plus you can just go on the website. I do recommend though that you get the smoked turkey bacon sandwich which is about 360 calories if youre watching you're figure. Speaking about that I also love the fact that everything on their menu has the approximate calorie of each item. The customer service was good the lady that took our order was sweet and patient with us, the inside of the restaurant was nicely kept and well maintained. This place used to be decent. And though I wasn't a fan of these types of cafes/bakeries (I prefer entrees over soups, sandwiches, or salads), I kept coming back because I could normally find something to eat, even if I was usually still hungry shortly after a visit. I had sworn off Panera after various mediocre experiences but popped back in to this location due to other restaurants being particularly busy. When placing my order, I was looking for a Blackcherry smoothie (or something to that effect) I had ordered at a few other visits after a different smoothie I had come to love over the years was removed from the menu. When I asked the cashier about this smoothie I've ordered before, she just shook her head "no" at me, continually, while I was still asking her about it. "..so you don't have it anymore?" "Nope". No "I'm sorry, we don't have that product anymore" or "Can I offer you something similar?" or even a "Perhaps you'd like to try the..".. Nothing. She just shook her head while I was talking, probably hoping I'd drop it in the middle of my sentence. Alright, a cup for water, then. Later, I was paged before my food was actually ready, therefore having to wait by the pickup counter a few extra minutes which defeats the purpose of the pager system. After I sat down to eat and started in on my food, I realized the bottom half of the sandwich was mostly charred. I tried eating the parts that weren't burnt but I could still taste it throughout the sandwich. I usually dip the sandwich into the tomato soup but was so put off by the entire thing meal and experience that I actually left a half eaten sandwich and a barely touched soup on the table and walked out. My boyfriend and I have frequented this Panera Bread location many times. In fact, he was the one to first introduce me to this restaurant chain at this very location. I used to order the half grilled cheese sandwich and creamy tomato soup, and now I'm a sucker for their half toasted frontega chicken sandwich. I also order that sandwich with the creamy tomato soup. My boyfriend always goes with the half Mediterranean veggie sandwich and mac and cheese. Now while we have enjoyed our orders at times, there have been other times where we have not. The consistency is not always there with both of our orders. We both customize our sandwiches to our liking and we have found that they don't always come out very good. This place seriously needs to get it together. This is the second time I've ordered a large order from this location and had major issues. Before that I had several issues with the Panera in Sunset Place, which is now closed (no surprise). I order large lunches for trainings at my job and like how everything comes boxed with sides. The last few times, they have been 40-60 minutes late with our orders and upon calling to ask for a status, they are all over the place. Very disorganized. Today they texted me that the order was on it's way. Then 10 minutes later they called to say it would be 10 minutes late because they had JUST started making it (it was already 10 minutes late at that point) and that the text was automatic. What is the point of status updates if they're automatic and not pertaining to your individual order? So the sandwiches arrived with no boxes - just wrapped with no labels in wax paper. Some had one sandwich and others had two in one wrapping. I got the green goddess salad that is supposed to have bacon, avocado, hard boiled egg, tomatoes and a special dressing. They gave me a salad with quinoa, olives, cucumber, almonds, chicken and Italian dressing (it was as if someone was making a salad with the leftovers in their fridge) . Last time they didn't even put condiments on the sandwiches because, like today, they were doing the order last minute. Expired on 5/2/17. I didn't noticed until I got to the office. Good is great but they can't get an order right to save their life. No communication between the person taking your money and the cook line except for pressing buttons. Ordering anything other than just like it comes carries a 90% chance of it being wrong. They take your name and say they'll call you by name then just shot out the names of the food so customers don't know if it's theirs or another's and there's an awkward dance to see who grabs the order. Located across the street from Dadeland Mall and Brandsmart on Kendal. Parking is a pain if you come during the lunch rush. I had to park across the street in the Brandsmart lot. It's a smaller store compared to other locations. The inside is clean and well kept. My favorite menu items to get are the cheddar cheese and broccoli soup and the chicken ceasar salad. I usually get the French Baguette. It's Sooooo Good. They also have coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and several different types of bread. The staff is friendly and bilingual. read more

Here's why: 1-It's close to home (OK, unfair advantage) 2-Its never overcrowded 3-The staff is helpful and patient (I can never make up my mind) 4-Has lots of outdoor seating Most of their menu is pretty standard for a bakery/cafe type of place, but hey have a few items that really stand out. The breakfast souffles are so good I have even tried to make them at home. The creamy tomato soup with cheesy croutons (seasonal item) is perfect and their salads are pretty great too. I tend to bring my dog with me everywhere because he's a service dog and we just sit outside, but the manager here is nasty! She said even though he's a service dog she didn't care and I had to leave. Well, that's illegal and just plane rude. Ok so if you didn't notice some of the food items here are on my last meal on Earth list! Breakfast: The bagels are the bomb! My favorite are the asiago cheese and the cinnamon crunch. Next the quiches wow so good. I like them all probably spinach and artichoke is the best. Lunch: Always Pick 2! I usually get the French Onion yummy and the turkey artichoke sandwich. I have seen some of the cold sandwiches come out and I'm not impressed. I would stick to the toasted ones. Dessert: CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE! I will eat lunch somewhere else and specifically come here to order 1 cookie. So good. The place is always busy, the cashiers quick and pleasant, and the tables are always clean. This Panera is way too close to my home, making it a dangerous knee-jerk option for me. There's plenty of parking, lots of comfortable outside seating, and the interior is always very clean, impressively so - even the restrooms. I don't know how they keep the place that clean, but they do an admirable job of it. Behind the counter I always find competent, friendly staff. I almost forget that this is a huge national chain. The breakfast sandwiches are a high point for me - I usually choose the "breakfast power sandwich," with an egg, ham and slice of cheese on toasted multigrain bread. Sandwiches at lunch follow the same theme, with good toasted bread, meat, cheese. I usually opt for one of their turkey sandwiches. Bagels here are tasty, but you would *not* want to make this your everyday bagel joint. These bagels are "treat" bagels, in the sense that I find them over-sugared, over-cheesed, pretty much over-everything'd. As I said, good on an indulgence basis, but most mornings I just want a nice crusty poppyseed bagel, all bread and nothing else. I can tell that even the plain bagels here have a high-ish hidden sugar content. The coffee is generic and forgettable, and for some reason I find it really rough on my stomach compared to the java at other places. I really like all the pastries. Cookies and croissants are always fresh. I am not crazy about the system of ordering food. You place your order, you get a buzzer, you stake your claim at a table, the buzzer rings. If you are alone and get up from your table to get your food, you may lose your seat. It takes a lot of coordination and some excellent multitasking skills. Some people might not have a problem with the process.The food is okay; fresh salads, soups and sandwiches. My difficult experience with Panera occurred when I attempted to order online for delivery. Technology is not my thing, but I have adapted. After waiting two hours, I attempted to track my meal on line to discover that it had been delivered, but obviously not to me. I then tried to telephone the store. The recording suggested that I use the online services. I tried to get a person, but that was impossible. Finally, my dear friend in Kansas City, called Panera. i don't understand why she was able to get the manager on the phone. She investigated the problem to discover something about a wrong number of a card I had on file from 5 years ago. When I ordered I had entered that I did not have a card. My mistake. Four hours after I originally placed my order, I received my meal. Thank you to my friend who should have been an investigative reporter on 60 Minutes. I enjoyed the brownie, but could have eaten 12 of them by the time i received my delivery. read more

The days of high traffic are as follows: M-F 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, 12:00-2:00 PM Sat - Sun Almost all day except after 6:00PM Yep, I have visited this panera enough times to know when it's most packed. I hope this helps some of you Yelpers as this Panera is a bit small compared to the one on 136th and US1 and finding primo seating (aka a booth) is like finding cash in your pants - rare because everyone accepts credit cards, yet always appreciated. Also, don't forget to ask for a voucher from the cashier for parking. If you park downstairs, the first three hours are free with a green voucher. read more

Ordered catering and had a mix up with the date for the delivery. Called the restaurant almost 3 hours in advance to ask them if we could change the date. The manager Gaby told us they could not change the date since it needed to be 4 hours in advance and the food was already made. Online says orders can be cancelled with 1 hour of delivery. The website is wrong and now we are paying the price for it. We had to make the order again and eat the 3 hours old food. Nothing bad to say about this Panera. I love downtown dadeland and how easy it is to visit. Parking is always a breeze and validated (free!) for up to 3 hours. Their garage is underground with plenty of spots and color coded to tell you where to park to be closer to which shop you'd like to go to. This Panera is smaller than most but has lots of outdoor seating. They have the quick order kiosks which allow your order to skip the line which is my preferred way of ordering. The food here is consistent with other Panera's and always comes out quickly. Staff is kind and helpful, 5 stars from me. read more

All the tables were taken on the inside so we just sat outside, which turned out in our favor because it was nice weather and they had really comfy cushioned seats. I was not very impressed with this place. The employee was nice and the service was decent but the food and price were terrible. My co worker and I both picked out two half sandwiches. Cost us sixteen something for two sandwiches which I thought was a little high priced. When I got the sandwiches they were nowhere near worth what I paid. They were small, about 4x3. That's $8 for just a couple bites of food. To make it worse it wasn't that good either. I will not be returning. There are a lot more restaurants out there that offer more for your money. read more

Very disappointing, I ordered ahead on the to pick up my order at 10:20am this morning, the sandwich that I ordered was still not ready at 10:38am. I was in a rush since they were 20 mins late on my order so I had to eat on the road instead of sitting in the cafe to enjoy. They missed add in items on my order - they forgot basil, extra Gouda cheese (they only gave me regular), extra turkey (they only gave me regular unless they are very stingy comparing to other stores), missing egg white (which is an original item of the sandwich)!! There were even egg shells on the over easy egg that I added! Very disappointed and would never go back again. Will not recommend to others either. read more
