Last night that place was Momi Ramen in Brickell. I went after work on a cool, lightly rainy evening when all I wanted was something comforting. Ramen felt right. This was actually my first time here, even though I've lived in Brickell for ten years. They used to be cash only, which honestly kept me away, but they now accept credit cards, so it finally felt accessible. The space is small and intimate, almost like a New York-style Asian diner. Quiet, calm, and focused on the food. I ordered the chicken ramen with a Sapporo and everything hit exactly how it should. Deep flavors, well balanced, and incredibly comforting. If you're looking for a good meal in Brickell that doesn't feel like an influencer set, this is it. My wife ordered the Shrimp Ramen, I asked if there was Kimchi added in which the guy who was taking the order (and making the Ramen) said yes. Should be noted that the ramen did NOT come with Kimchi, and when I asked where the Kimchi was the chef simply said 'no' in a low voice and walked away. Allrighty then. Now for my order, I ordered the Oxtail Ramen. Both came out within 10 minutes. Fast, enough. Ok, now for the taste test. The noodles seemed like they came out of a package, they were not good quality. The broth was mediocre at best. The meat was somewhat good quality and flavorful. The chef and waiter, had a bit of an attitude. Maybe he was having a bad day but it definitely rubbed off on us. It embodies the phrase ( don't judge a book by its cover) on the outside this restaurant looks like an old time even (foreign) looking establishment it's made of bricks and looks very warn out. I really miss what this place used to be. Back in 2022, my first visit left a strong impression the food was genuinely good. Yes, it was overpriced, but it felt worth it. The cook, Charlie, was an absolute beast in the kitchen and a great personality who gave the place its soul. The ramen bowls were massive, flavorful, and packed to the brim finishing one was a challenge in itself. Unfortunately, those days are gone. This place has completely lost its edge. The ramen now is shockingly mediocre easily some of the worst I've had in the city, on par with the disaster that is Ichimi in Midtown. The broth tastes like dirty dishwater, the noodles are cheap and clearly straight out of the package, and they often arrive clumped together as if no care was taken in preparation. It's honestly horrendous. To make things worse, prices are still sky-high, but the quality no longer justifies them. The atmosphere is flat, lifeless, and devoid of personality, just like the staff. There's nothing authentic or inviting here anymore. For the sake of your wallet and your stomach, I'd stay far away. A nice ramen shop in the middle of Brickell. As a person who eats a mostly plant forward diet I opted to try the veggie ramen but to build it with the traditional bone broth. We also had the gyoza appetizer which everyone loved. The restaurant is small and decorated with Japanese sake bottles and windchimes. This is by far the best Tonkotsu Pork Belly Ramen I have ever eaten in North America, it's so delicious that I compared my experience with the one I had in kyoto, Japan. Interesting fact is that the Tonkotsu ramen broth is made from pork bones and this broth is cooked at a roiling boil for over 22 hours so it's incredibly delicious and flavorful. I read a lot of complains about the price but this is not an ordinary ramen soup. If your budget doesn't allow you to splurge just buy one and share it with an special someone. It's really worth the experience, you will really appreciate this magical broth and the delicious pork belly and ramen!! Ps. We've been frequenting this place for many years but at some point something has changed. I wish it was for the better but when we came back some months ago, after trying our usual go to Tonkotsu Ramen we were so sadly disappointed. It was not the same taste or flavor. The broth was somewhat bland and mediocre and the toppings were also not as we remember it. In all honesty, we really didn't mind back then how much they were charging for the ramen because we knew we were paying for primium top notch ramen. But now, the ramen they sell there is really mediocre at best (instant ramen best?!) Don't get me wrong, the place looks the same with the same name and interior decoration but it is as if the chef decided one day to just quit and walk away and leave everything behind. Some people here are saying those that leaves negative comments for this place are just haters or don't know what they are talking about. Those that have been to this place and had tried their original ramen knows what I'm talking about. I tried to order the soup dumplings---but it was unavailable. This experience defines 'Batting a thousand' it's legit meaning. My husband and I finally tried MOMI Ramen for date night last week after living in the area and walking by it all the time! First, this is an adorable location - it was likely a renovated house; so it is cozy and only has a few tables; however, we went on an early Friday evening and it wasn't getting full by the time we left. Both my husband ordered the traditional park ramen, and split a plate of gyoza. Everything was exceptional! Service was quick; the food was delicious - and the ramen portions are huge! (And, while ordering, the server did ask if we wanted to share and offered to split one portion into two bowls - so nice to know that's an option!) The bowl is big, but it still is pretty much a single serving. The broth was actually very good, but the construction of the bowl seemed basic. There is nothing wrong with basic, but you're paying $40 for noodles, some meat, bamboo, and thats it. They don't even make the eggs in the traditional way, they just crack one in there... Do not go here. We went and got 1 small pork ramen ($18), a regular brisket ramen ($35), 6 steamed pork dumplings ($9), and 2 green teas ($8 each). The ramens were bland, broth boring and watery, there was almost no meat in either bowl and what was there was bland (I'd guess 2-3 oz meat in each at most). There was only half an egg in each bowl, a small amount of mediocre noodle, and a few bamboo shoots, nothing else. The dumplings were ok not great. The green tea was not hot, it was just room temperature bottles of some random watery tasting tea, for $8 each. I also asked for chili oil and was given a tiny cup of some peppers in oil that looked and smelled like the peppers you'd put on a sausage or Philly cheese steak. There was also no music or anything and the waiter barely said a word to us. I don't think they spoke much English, we only heard Spanish in the back. All this was disappointing, then the bill came out. $77 or so with 7% tax and 18% gratuity already added on made it $98. I don't know what world you can have that below average service and charge premium prices with auto gratuity, for below average food. $98 for 2 crappy bowls of soup, 6 dumplings, and a couple bottles of watery tea is ridiculous. I would've been upset if it was $50 for that. Never going back and I hope nobody else ever does either. Another downfall for me was the fact that the ramen and broth wasn't separated since I was taking it to go. Because of course I couldn't eat both. Although this broth was flavorful, I think I am more of a clear broth type of ramen chick. Like the broth I've gotten from Pho 79 and Ohho Noodles. I also didn't care for the noodles. It was more like spaghetti noodles and I think at the other ramen places they use rice noodles. I like rice noodles better. The restaurant itself is a little small but it has a nice cozy feel to it. It's cute. The parking here is very challenging. It is on a narrow street that only street parking and is one way. I'd probably come back again but may not get the oxtail. We'll see. read more

We came here for ramen but when we were given the menu, we were surprised by the cost of the items. This is definitely not a two dollar place, infact a 3 or maybe even 4 dollar place.
