Honestly not bad! Highly rated ramen in Miami -- wasn't expecting too much for a city not known for Japanese food however this hit the spot. Went for lunch -- great value out of the lunch specials. Went for one of each to share and it was a great combo. Fast service and really cool atmosphere in one of the new food halls in the heart of downtown Miami.

I think the Ramen here is pretty good for what is available in South Florida. I like how it is available in downtown Miami, where nothing else is really in this area. The eggs are always cooked to perfection, the broth is a little on the high sodium side but it always hits the spot. I also like how they cut up the meat into smaller pieces and charred it a little bit. Could be spicier, but I think it is OK. This is located in a food hall, they used to be on the third floor but now I see that they have moved to the first floor and that could have been for a while, but I'm glad they are in a more visible place. Service is always consistent as you order at the counter.

This was located in the Julia & Henry's food hall. Great ramen but expensive! Pork was tender, egg was cooked to perfection, and broth was flavorful. Would come back.

Had a good experience here inside Julia and Henry's. Shimuja really is that good. Their space is small and there were only two people working, but they were really cooking. We ordered quick and it didn't take too long for our food to come out. The portion was large enough for two and the cost was $20 for the plate! Everything was hot and looked great. The curry sauce was amazing. The main menu is six ramens but they had two curry's maybe seasonally or on special. I'd love to come back and try another dish.

It's crazy how many good review this place has. I mean the ramen was okay. Nothing really crazy delicious. My pork had a lot of fat. However, the service was pretty quick and professional. The ambiance was nice, clean and a good spot to check out other food spots near by.

Located inside Julia & Henry's in Miami The tonkatsu ramen was not bad; flavorful and smelled delicious. It's a bit expensive since it's Miami so you're paying Miami prices.

If you love delicious Japanese food, then this is the spot for you! I definitely recommend getting the spicy Kagoshima, it's well worth it. It's nice and spicy, but not overbearing and the broth is so flavorful you won't want to stop. Enjoy!

My favorite ramen so far is not just in Miami but in the whole world. Is just a perfect mix of flavors in a big bowl I just came to this food court for this place is so good everything in the ramen is perfect. Noddles are cooked perfectly and depending on what you get the flavor and level of spicy can change my favorite is the spicy one the cook line can always help you and give you good recommendations. Service is a fast, good price and the ambiance is nice and casual. You have a couple Bars and dessert options after eating at this delicious place. Live music and fresh decor.

I love shimuja ramen but this location was a miss. There was no flavor it in the broth. I asked for spice on the side and it wasn't enough. Service was fast.

I absolutely hate writing negative reviews because I do believe they try to make a good product, but holy crap that was the worst ramen I've ever had. I was excited to try Shimuja (located inside Julia & Henry's/3rd floor) based on the reviews. I ordered a Kagoshima special tonkatsu spicy. It was not spicy at all, the pork was chewy and flavorless. I've never had a ramen with carrots inside, it was like a soupy spring roll. And $33 for a bowl is ridiculous, needless to say I'll never return.

We were in downtown Miami for 2 nights, and after eating cruiseship food for the last 8 days, we were desperate for a good bowl of Ramen. A quick Google search brought us to this place, and we are very thankful it did. Located inside Julia and Henry's food market, amongst 5 floors of various eateries, lives this gem of a Ramen shop. And when I say gem, I mean a freakin gem. I originally wanted the Tsukeman Ramen, but it was not available, and I'm not even mad. I had the Kagoshima special Tonkatsu Ramen that was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful and stayed hot in its ceramic bowl the entire time. The thin noodles were packed in the bowl and cooked to perfection. Soft boiled seasoned eggs were exactly how you want it in a bowl of Ramen. And the pork, OMG, had a wonderful sear on one side and was very tender. There was also a handful of fried onion strips which I've never had in Ramen before, that complimented everything nicely. Seriously, this was one of the best (if not the best) bowls of Ramen I've ever consumed. We are from San Diego and have many great Ramen shops to choose from, but I'm not kidding when I say, this bowl beat them all. It was truly perfection and we are so glad to have found it. BTW, the food market is incredible. There were so many types of food to choose from! And a massive bar smack dab in the center. If we get time this trip, we'll be back for sure.

I am a huge ramen fan and therefore I am always on the search for the perfect bowl of ramen. The bowl that once the broth hits your mouth it has umami. I lived in Seattle and when I moved back to Miami, I really missed ramen. No place in Miami hit the spot...that is until I tried Shimuja. Shimuja blew me away. The broth was creamy and spicy. The noodles were the perfect tenderness and the pork had the perfect ratio of fat to meat. The bowl was huge and very filling. I absolutely will come here whenever I need a ramen fix. The only downside to this place is that it is located in a very busy food hall with no parking so it can be tedious to come here.

One thing I love about Magie is they are always going to uplift folks in the community - be it with space for local businesses who don't have brick and mortars to pop-up and sell food, or by creating a space for locals to hang and get work done and not be bored in their houses. I can definitely see myself at Cafe Magie on Fridays this summer. I ordered a charcuterie tray for the three of us; it's not premade. You pick the ingredients and then they are charged à la carte. For the one we enjoyed with Brie, prosciutto and jam. It came up to about $40. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay - nicely cool and crisp - while chatting and enjoying the game. I think they just have bottles, not wine by the glass. I'd certainly recommend Magie for a casual date night, or nightcap after dinner elsewhere. The patio with string lights and all does seem cute for a quiet evening.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates.
