Went there after a friend recommended the place. We ordered the 8 course tasting menu. The restaurant is asian inspired, it felt like a fusion of asian and french cuisine which is a combo i didnt expect. Some dishes were outstanding other dishes were good. There wasn't a single dish that was bad but For 90+ $ i was hoping to get to try the steak or more proteinaceous dishes.

I remember coming to Zitz Sum when it was a pop up in this Gables space, and having it be a permanent location is a joy. Would highly suggest going in as tapas style and sharing with the table. We started with a bread and fruitcake butter, and wow what a stunning combination to start the night. We also had a hibachi with some dragon, fruit, seeds, and citrus, and what a bright vibrant bite ( say that three times fast). The dumplings were tender and cooked well with a salty umami broth that just added an extra layer of complexity to the bite. Every dish that came out was presented in a stunning manner with a layered flavor profile, and made every bite more exciting than the last. The service was divine and their recommendations are spot on!

Service was phenomenal. Location was a little hard to find if you've never been before. Go through the FIFA store. Food was excellent. Dark lit cozy spot. Expensive but it's good for a special occasion! Tasting menu is worth every bite!

    - Their menu is tapas style, order a couple of items to share - Got the steak tartare, hokkaido scallop crudo, potato dumplings, bing bread, and a cheesecake - The bing bread was to die for. Highly recommended!! - Absolutely loved the dressing paired with the scallops - Every dish was extremely flavourful and delicious - Service was wonderful - The ambience inside is dark and lounge-vibey for dinner - Can't wait to go back soon

After coming here a few times I have to say that this week was probably the most disappointing of all others. As soon as we walked in you could feel like the extraction system in the kitchen was not working properly. The restaurant had lots of smoke in the dining room area and at the end we left smelling like the kitchen. After seating, we were greeted nicely and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. They brought us our seasonal menu and July to me, has been the weakest of our visits here. We had wonton in brodo, scallops crudo, a rice dish and the snapper. The wonton was a bit tough, not very delicate, and the brodo... hardly any. The scallops crudo were very nice and super flavorful. (Probably the one good dish we had). The rice as it was called was more of a corn and bean dish than rice... also it had something that was rather sour to taste, that simply didn't work with that dish. The snapper was okay tasty dish but nothing memorable. My POV is, when I come to these restaurants that have may have a Michelin recommendation or have that hype ... my expectation is to leave with at least one or two dishes that I would say, "I would come back just to have that again". Something that I want to tell a friend and say you have to go there and try it. Aside from the extraordinary presentation and great service...I didn't feel that at all at Zitz Sum.

Zitz Sum is the sister restaurant to Dojo Izakaya. Having just tried Dojo, we wanted to try this spot immediately. The service makes you feel at home. Our server was great. The menu frequently changes, so the items we had will likely be gone soon, but definitely get the bing bread, which seems to be a permanent fixture on the menu. We also had potato dumplings, which were like gnudi, along with red snapper and farrotto. Shockingly, the cabbage was my favorite thing on the menu. If you're lucky enough to be able to order it, you must.

Everything we tasted was unique and super tasty! It's a tapas restaurant so expect small portions, lots of sharing, and a pretty big bill. The restaurant is hidden in an office building but was super cute inside. I loved the fish and loved the potato dumplings! The salad was tiny tiny but the dressing was delicious. I also loved the bing bread it was so warm and the miso dipping sauce was really great. They brought around for glasses of champagne for the table because we told them it was a birthday

Many things to like about this place, great service, amazing food, cozy atmosphere. We came here on our anniversary and were presented with 2 glasses of champagne on the house, which was sweet of them. This is sort of tapas sharing place so we ordered a bunch, I recommend 4-5 dishes for 2 people. Their bread is a must order for sure, from the rest of the dishes the rice was very interesting, so much lemon zest but not for everyone. The trout was delicious as well. One minor thing that was bothering us was the smoke coming from the kitchen, it was uncomfortable at times but not enough to spoil the experience.

Came to Zitz Sum for the first time with friends two weeks ago. Their menu is currently focused on spring, and it was so good that I had to come back with my husband for date night. At this point, I've pretty much tried the whole menu--and I can confidently say there's nothing I didn't like. Of course, there are a few standouts you must try: the Bing Bread, Wonton in Brodo, Steak Tartare, the Bass, and that Carolina Gold Rice (it's unreal). Every dish is beautifully balanced--flavorful, creative, and just really well-executed. They also offer a tasting menu with a wine pairing option, which is such a nice touch if you want the full experience. We opted for à la carte this time, but I'm already planning to come back just to do the tasting menu. It's a great way to explore their seasonal concept and try dishes you might not have ordered otherwise--especially when paired with curated wines or sake. Speaking of drinks, their beverage program is super creative. They don't have a full bar (just wine and sake), but the cocktails they craft from that are really impressive. Thoughtful, fresh, and perfectly paired with the food. Service was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine, and I don't think our glasses went more than two minutes without being topped off. The whole experience just felt thoughtful and polished, without being stuffy. We'll definitely be back next season--I'm already excited to see what the new menu will bring.

The food was delicious but removed 2 stars from the review section because the difference in portions from this year in comparison to 2 years ago is ridiculous for the tasting menu felt more like Miami spice except paying full price. The service and staff are awesome and the food is delicious but I did leave hungry. The restaurant is beautiful and romantic vibe. I recommend if you are planning to continue to go out afterwards for additional bites.

What can I say about this restaurant other than I completely understand why this is a Michelin restaurant. This was a party experience in your mouth of the most delicious food ever. The service was 10 out of 10, they explain the whole process and how the menu works. The ambience was so romantic and fenomenal I would definitely recommend this place as a date.

I used to frequent No Name Chinese and since Zitz Sum opening, It's been on my list to check out. My friend loves it here so she took the liberty of ordering. It's a small menu so you're pretty much going to order about the whole menu. Everything is meant for sharing and tasting. Bites are like Flavor explosions in your mouth. my favorite dishes of the night were the steak tartar and potato dumplings with truffle. Packed with flavor. My friend mentioned that dishes change often and the menu did have the date for the current month. I saw some things posted in the pics that they no longer offer. I will warn that even in sharing dishes are small. I feel like this restaurant is really meant for a tasting experience. I knocked off a star because they don't really have cocktails only like sake tinis and wine. And they were served in small coupe glasses. Two gulps and it was finished pretty much. And it wasn't that good, imo. Maybe go with the wine better. But if you haven't been here it's definitely one to check off the list and try. It's tucked away in a bank so may be tricky to find but once inside, it's an intimate setting.

My friends took me here for my birthday dinner - the staff were extremely sweet and helped to make my birthday celebration the best yet! We ordered numerous items from the menu and shared each plate - with a rotating menu, I cannot wait to come back again soon to try more. Cozy, intimate, and personal - highly recommend

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

This dish is very special to us because my Husband eats it every time we visit Barcelona. * Pulpo a la Plancha - Grilled octopus with creamy black rice made of calamari ink. The rice was excellent, absolutely luscious. * Pulpo a la Gallega. Boiled octopus and boiled potatoes drizzled with paprika and olive oil. For our Mains we ordered the * Filet Mignon with blue cheese sauce and boiled potatoes. This dish was just OK. The potatoes weren't seasoned, only boiled. The steak had no char and was overdone for a filet. My Husband also ordered * Patatas a la Giralda - their twist on patatas bravas with two homemade signature sauces. These were crispy, and delicous. Served underneath the 2 sauces. * I ordered Grilled Chicken with salad. I was taken aback by the server for food shaming me to order something pricier, not just basic chicken. That's not cool. I also got a side of * Patatas - fried steak fries, very crunchy paired well with our food. For dessert we had * Crema Catalana, which is a Spanish syle Crème brûlée. This dessert has probably been the smallest dessert I've ever ordered. Not to mention, the consistency, the taste and color was all wrong. It was as if you had a Jello vanilla pudding with a miniscule amount of hardened caramelized sugar. Definitely not getting this desert again. I'd like to try the Tarta de Santiago next time. Once our food arrived the Flamenco show began and it was glorious!! The lead male vocalist was phenomenal! His vocal range and guitar skills were admirable. The show began with singing first and then the dancer started. She was a personable, very talented dancer and performer. At one point she locked eyes with me and before I knew it I was up there dancing with her, which was so much fun! I really enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it to open minded people who enjoy food from Spain.

We loved this place. Such a fun vibe and everything we ordered hit. The service was wonderful too!…read more The grilled cheese was next level, super crispy, cheesy, and not basic at all (I'm still craving it). The beef carpaccio was super fresh and perfectly balanced. The skirt steak? So good and tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. But the standout for me was the tuna tostones... obsessed. And the manchego croquetas were the perfect bite. Definitely one of those spots where you want to order a little of everything and share. We'll 100% be back!

They accommodated our party of eight flawlessly, and to top it off, we even had live music on a Wednesday night. This place is such an incredible wine place with tons of amazing bottles and varieties to choose from. You basically shop around the space, pick out your own wine, and bring it back to the table for your server to open and serve. Everything is organized by region and the prices vary so you can easily find something that fits your taste and budget. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic, and everything we ate and drank was just as good. We started with a red Pinot noir bottle we loved so much that we ended up ordering three more for the table. For food, we ordered several dishes to share: The Marinated Olives which i didn't try these because I'm not an olive person. The Bacon Wrapped Plantains which was such a unique combo, and surprisingly delicious. The Local Burrata which was absolutely delicious. I've never met a pan con burrata I didn't like. The Manchego Croquetas were my absolutely favorite. manchego is one of my favorite cheeses, so I already knew I'd love this. Perfectly balanced, not greasy at all, crispy on the outside, melty and creamy on the inside. The honey sauce on the side was the perfect touch. We also got the Steak Frites & Chicken to share which was super tender, flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy, just how I love them. They were out of the yuca bravas, so we couldn't try these but they sound phenomenal. And we couldn't chose what desssert we wanted so we went with all three. The flourless chocolate cake with icecream, the key like tres leche and the guava tiramisu. Alll delicious !! And lastly , i have to highlight Thalia, our server. She was exceptional! Truly a five-star experience for our first visit. She handled our group of eight with ease, was always on top of refills without us having to ask, knew the menu inside and out, and gave amazing recommendations. She made the whole night even better. Can't wait to come back especially for lunch since she mentioned they have great lunch specials. This spot is definitely a new favorite,

Vinoteca is a small, cozy wine bar on Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove with a handful of indoor and…read moreoutdoor tables and about 1/2 dozen stools at the bar. They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.
