As a dumpling aficionado, I'm not impressed with the main attraction. We ordered pork and shrimp, chicken and shrimp shao mai 烧麦. The pork and shrimp is the best of the 3, but barely tasted like the shrimp was present. The shrimp shao mai tasted like old shrimp with a lot of fillers. The chicken dumplings tasted worse than the Costco frozen ones. Mi Amore no plus! Also the cucumber salad used wrong kind of cucumbers. It was in large pieces that took a few bites to get down. Food came out not that quickly, and funny story, the couple next table to us which got seated about 20 min before us, got their ramen about 15 min after we got our food. Coming from the Bay Area, it has been so hard to find a solid Asian restaurant that isn't hyped and over priced and this was it! THE BEST ASIAN FOOD IVE TRIED IN MIAMI, by far. Hands down, this is the best dumpling restaurant in Miami. I went twice in three days because the shrimp shumai were the softest and fluffiest I've ever had. The lobster and shrimp dumplings were incredibly tender and full of flavor. The ramen was light yet still rich and satisfying, and the cucumber salad had the perfect balance of flavor and crunch. Stopped by for a day trip, and the family got hungry. Since we had been on a cruise ship for days, we were really missing some Asian food. The place seems cozy with a few smalls table and bar stools seating. However, if you are looking for authentic food, I would not recommend eating here. The Pork Katsu Don I received was entirely soggy. It was strange to me that they topped the beautiful katsu (which is supposed to be crunchy) with all of the wet egg, sauce, and vegetables. This made me suspect the katsu wasn't freshly made, and the chef was trying to hide that flaw by adding the wet toppings. Additionally, the meat was overcooked. We started with the shrimp pork dumplings, Chili beef shumai, Santiago was great and recommended somenotlf there best dishes. Small menu but plenty to eat and great varieties. The owner was present and greeted us as soon as we walked in. We were seated immediately and the server took care of us right away. The place is very small and you have the option to sit at a table or at the bar. Everything we ordered was good. I wish I would have requested the dumplings pan-fried rather than steamed because that's a personal preference, but I don't know if that's an option. Sweet people and good dumplings. I found quality to be good and prices fair (pushing this a liiittle bit, but rent is high in this neighborhood so I stand by it). Service was good and they had my to-go order ready exactly when I asked. The people that handed it off were funny and friendly, and their dumplings were delish. This was about a year ago and I am simply unable to find the 10-20 pics I took of the place....:( They were amazing and the food was great. Coincidently, post Covid, they had changed their working hours, and this was the first Sunday they re-opened for business and we were the first customers (on Sunday that is, otherwise they were open on weekdays). Located right across our resort hotel, we were really keen to indulge in momos. The first thing we ordered was green mango starter. It was soo tasty with that sprinkle of Mexican salt and pepper. I am a fan of sour and this was just the right balance between light sweet and good sour with spices over it....built up the appetite. Then we got the vegetarian dumplings and requested it to be pan fried which was readily accepted and we got the most crispiest, yummy dumplings, hot off the stove. For entree we got the noodle bowl, with lots of veges and that was again really tasty. We made another order of the bowl after finishing the first one, that was being greedy ...haha ...couldn't finish and and had to get a lot of it packed. The restaurant itself has minimal, had tasteful interiors with the most friendly and accommodating staff. Its like an open kitchen so you can see them cooking right before you. We recently tried this place after reading the high ratings. We ordered a ramen, the omelette over rice, chasiu over rice. We are not big eaters so 3 dishes are plenty for us as we don't want leftovers as vacationers. The hostess/waitress kept suggesting to us to order more food or drink to which we declined. Could tell she was not pleased when we declined. Food wise, it's not authentic though edible. We are from Los Angeles where we eat authentic Chinese and Japanese frequently so we can tell. Loved this place!!! We're visiting from Reno, NV to experience Miami! As we were heading home to the airport we decided on ramen, we stumbled upon this awesome place! The atmosphere was amazing and it smelt delicious as soon as we walked in! When you walk in they have a big board with specials to chose from. They have some amazing dumplings, we tried the shrimp shumai dumplings with a hint of their amazing chili sauce.. my fav! In fact, perhaps, ramen mi amor might be more accurate, as that was the focus of the main dishes. I asked if the crab fried rice was real or imitation, the waitress said imitation. I wasn't in a ramen mood so didn't try a main. The menu was somewhat limited in scope, but did have a decent small plate selection. It was a bit hard to understand her at all times, but she was friendly. I enjoyed the background music. I'd give this place a second look. Seems basic, but It's not. Seriously the best fried rice we have ever had. Flavorful with chunks of real crab. Sapporo ramen has a creamy, flavorful broth. They had adapted this place to make their menu using "bailing twine" levels of ingenuity that resulted in 1) the best Shumai I've ever had (I live in NY, we have this cuisine) and the best sesame dressing on a salad I've ever had.
