BEWARE! There's a 20% service fee!!! My fiance and I were raving all about how good the food was after stumbling upon it. Dan Dan noodles had so much flavor, chili beef dumplings were thick and juicy, and the pork and shrimp dumplings were cooked perfectly. However when my fiance asked for a check all we got was one of the handheld devices with the total. I thought it was strange when the server said tipping was optional after the tap, and the options were 1%, 3%, and 5%. Since the food and service were great, I wanted to tip 15%, so I changed it to a custom value and did my own math. However when I got my printed receipt, there was a 20% service fee, plus my custom tip of 15%. Being from LA, when restaurants have the mandatory service fee, they usually tell you at the host stand or after you just sat down. I felt like this place was shady although it is in their fine print on their menu. What the server could have done is said "service fee is already included," after the tap, not "tipping is optional." I did like the service, but the 35% tip was not well deserved. It is a cute little restaurant on 2nd street and we came in for happy hour (buy one get one free beer and sake) everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. Had so much flavor. Coming from the Bay Area, it has been so hard to find a solid Asian restaurant that isn't hyped and over priced and this was it! THE BEST ASIAN FOOD IVE TRIED IN MIAMI, by far. Hands down, this is the best dumpling restaurant in Miami. I went twice in three days because the shrimp shumai were the softest and fluffiest I've ever had. The pork and shrimp is the best of the 3, but barely tasted like the shrimp was present. The shrimp shao mai tasted like old shrimp with a lot of fillers. Stopped by for a day trip, and the family got hungry. Since we had been on a cruise ship for days, we were really missing some Asian food. The place seems cozy with a few smalls table and bar stools seating. However, if you are looking for authentic food, I would not recommend eating here. The Pork Katsu Don I received was entirely soggy. It was strange to me that they topped the beautiful katsu (which is supposed to be crunchy) with all of the wet egg, sauce, and vegetables. This made me suspect the katsu wasn't freshly made, and the chef was trying to hide that flaw by adding the wet toppings. Additionally, the meat was overcooked. The owner was present and greeted us as soon as we walked in. We were seated immediately and the server took care of us right away. The place is very small and you have the option to sit at a table or at the bar. Everything we ordered was good. I wish I would have requested the dumplings pan-fried rather than steamed because that's a personal preference, but I don't know if that's an option. My experiences of Dumpling has always been through delivery with the same food. Mushroom Ramen and Edamame dumplings. Fantastic!!! The spicy chili sauce that comes w the dumplings is soo freaking good and damn spicy!! This was about a year ago and I am simply unable to find the 10-20 pics I took of the place....:( They were amazing and the food was great. Coincidently, post Covid, they had changed their working hours, and this was the first Sunday they re-opened for business and we were the first customers (on Sunday that is, otherwise they were open on weekdays). Located right across our resort hotel, we were really keen to indulge in momos. The first thing we ordered was green mango starter. It was soo tasty with that sprinkle of Mexican salt and pepper. I am a fan of sour and this was just the right balance between light sweet and good sour with spices over it....built up the appetite. Then we got the vegetarian dumplings and requested it to be pan fried which was readily accepted and we got the most crispiest, yummy dumplings, hot off the stove. For entree we got the noodle bowl, with lots of veges and that was again really tasty. We made another order of the bowl after finishing the first one, that was being greedy ...haha ...couldn't finish and and had to get a lot of it packed. The restaurant itself has minimal, had tasteful interiors with the most friendly and accommodating staff. Its like an open kitchen so you can see them cooking right before you. Visited here on a recent trip to Miami and it was so good, we went back a second time! Our first visit, we sat at the bar and were able to watch the food as it was made which was fun. We had dumplings, crab rangoons, pork katsu don, and tako yaki. The pork katsu don was the best I've ever had and the portion size was huge. I ended up ordering the pork katsu don for take out the next night when we wanted to just eat in the hotel room and relax. Loved this place!!! We're visiting from Reno, NV to experience Miami! As we were heading home to the airport we decided on ramen, we stumbled upon this awesome place! The atmosphere was amazing and it smelt delicious as soon as we walked in! When you walk in they have a big board with specials to chose from. They have some amazing dumplings, we tried the shrimp shumai dumplings with a hint of their amazing chili sauce.. my fav! We recently tried this place after reading the high ratings. We ordered a ramen, the omelette over rice, chasiu over rice. We are not big eaters so 3 dishes are plenty for us as we don't want leftovers as vacationers. The hostess/waitress kept suggesting to us to order more food or drink to which we declined.
