    Dim sum sampler
    Lauren N.

1-800 lucky is always such a good time! I had never been there during the day. It was clean and many people coming around to take your dishes and ask you if you needed a drink. The dumplings were pretty good! We had the dim sum sampler. IT had 2 shrimp dumplings, 2 chicken dumplings, 2 pan fried pork dumplings, 2 sui mai (shrimp and pork) and 2 veggie spring rolls. We didnt eat the spring rolls because they looked a little overcooked. The pork dumplings were my favorite. The filling of the krab rangoon was very good, but overcooked. The soup dumplings were pretty good.

Service was not the best, the shaved ice was. Ambience as expected. Ask for a bubble tea straw as in the bottom you will find it to be useful. Next time i will ask for one.

Full steam ahead but no captain nor crew in sight :/

Came here around 5pm in the middle of the week to pick up some food to go. 1-800-Lucky was empty except for one gentleman enjoying his food. It was raining outside, so no one there either, but set a cool vibe. I stopped at the table and there was no one to greet me nor was there anyone at the business directly to the left. I asked the man working the counter of the spot to the right after standing there for about 5 minutes if he knew where the person was, since Yip was clearly open. All the signs were on and the massive steaming table was FULL of food cooking. He said that there is someone but maybe she was in the bathroom or in the back grabbing something. I continued waiting and almost 7 minutes later (tbh I should've just left by then but I was really craving dim sum), she finally emerged from the back on FaceTime. Nothing else in hand, definitely not from the bathroom (odd that I feel the need to specify that), and seemingly unconcerned that I was waiting for her. She took my order and asked me to take a seat while my food prepared. I was surprised when I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for steamed food that was already being steamed from before I ordered. A guy placed an order about 20 minutes after me and his was done at the same time mine was. While I don't know what he ordered, his bag was just as full as mine. In the end, the dim sum is mediocre at best and wayyyy overpriced. This is coming from a dim sum aficionado who's tried multiple Yip locations across SFL. Save your time, money, and hunger. I WILL SAY: their crab rangoons were good, I would order those again. Nice and crispy with a good amount of filling.

I've been to Yip in the Aventura Mall and it was ok, but Yip in Wynwood has been awful, especially for how expensive it is. The chicken dumplings were mediocre even by American standards and even Costco frozen dumplings tasted better and fresher than these. The boba milk teas (thai iced tea and taro) were both very watered down and not sweet. While I appreciate when boba isn't too sweet, I still need flavor, which these drinks lacked. The texture was fine. Also, the boba was $11!! I've never had boba this expensive even at the most fancy authentic boba shops with multiple add-ons. If the boba was $6, I wouldn't be complaining as much about the quality since I know Miami is expensive, but $11 is such a rip off for what you get. The ambiance of 1-800-Lucky and the service was fine. I appreciate the service since they let my friend try a sample of the popping boba before picking a drink since they've never had it popping boba before.

Located inside 1800 lucky. The ambiance is laid back as it's in a good hall. Service was fine. You order and wait for the buzzer to go off and pick up your food. Had the shrimp bao buns, I would say I didn't like that the tail was still on. Pork dumplings even though we requested fried were given steamed but still good. Also had the shrimp and pork chili wontons. I usually don't find things to be spicy but the chili oil had my nose runny. They don't take cash by the way

No one showed up to take my order. Ordered food from another booth, still no one came to work the booth. Workers said they were open, online says open. Very much not open

Great lunch spot for dumplings inside of 1-800 lucky in Wynwood. The dumplings feel fresh, and very authentic. Service is fairly quick. Prices very reasonable at $8.90 per dumpling set. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend... just skip the milk tea.. unless you like milk alone. THE PLACE: During my lunch break, I decided to try out YIP inside1800 Lucky. Per usual, parking can be tricky but always possible. I was in and out in under an hour. THE FOOD: Overall, the sampler (4/5) was very good, great presentation and fresh tasting and sure to surpass any cravings! As for the Taro Milk Tea (0/5), this was the biggest disappointment in a very long time. This either needs to be bettered or completely removed from their menu. The "Taro" milk tea was like 5% Taro and 95% milk, barely any taro flavor - I essentially had milk with ice. Oh and I also picked Taro (not only because I like Taro) because I was told it was the "most edible" of the two milk tea options THE SERVICE: Staff was kind, however seemed misinformed, but perhaps this is also due to management.

Always delicious and satisfying for some quick dumplings my go to is the soup dumpling and shrimp and pork. It's inside 1800 lucky nice music on the weekends came on a Saturday night to fuel up before a night of drinking.

Parking close to this area is mainly street parking. We parked 2 blocks away and walked down. This location isn't Easy to find, it doesn't say YIP outside. It's across the street from Electric Lady and we just asked the security where YIP was and he let us in. We went into a food court type of environment. There were different restaurants within that area. We ended up at YIP and ordered a variety of items. We got shrimp dumplings, steamed pork dumplings, vegetable Spring rolls, and Keanu Rangoon . I enjoyed the spring rolls the most and I disliked the poke dumplings. It just tasted .....different from pork dumplings I've had at other places. My friend enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and the krab Rangoon tasted like cream cheese. I didn't taste any crab in Rangoon. You can pick wherever you want to sit. It was pretty warm in the food court. They didn't have reg drinks so I got a coke from the bar across the way and my friend tried one of the drinks from the bar which she liked. The music was super loud so it was hard to talk while we ate. Not sure if the Music is lower during the day so that might make a difference in the ambiance.

Deelish! Located inside of 1-800 LUCKY, they definitely filled my dumpling craving. While here I noshed on the soup dumplings. Loved every moment. Nice size and portions. You actually get soup with your dumpling LOL! I up charge for a buck and get their chili oil to dip your dumplings in! Unfortunately, I didn't try anything else. I ordered way too much food from the overall hall on this visit. No worries, I'll just need to return!

It pains me to write this review for Yip because I am ALWAYS thrilled to have dim sum. However, Yip was mediocre at best. We ordered: *Dim Sum Sampler - okay great for the gram but just OK. All the deep fried stuff was pretty good but everything else was just OK. The har gow was SUPER fishy. *Soft Shell Crab Bao - The soft shell crab was super bitter and mushy. I read that as not very fresh. Yikes! *Xiao Long Bao - it was like lukewarm and the inside was mushy so either seemed like low quality ingredients or that it had been frozen for too long. I'll be back to 1-800 Lucky but most likely will not get dimsum again.

Yummmmy! I wanted to try something new at 1-800 so I stopped at Yip. It was my first time having boba milk tea and I loved it! I also ordered the dim sum sampler and everything tasted delicious. Everything was delicious, service was fast and great. I will be back!
