When you want Chinese food and walk into a place where there is nothing but Asians around sitting in wooden tables and doing nothing more than looking at their food and shoveling it down with chopsticks then you know you're at the right place! For starters this is the place to go for Dim sum! They have an a tensile dim sum menu and it every single one of them is phenomenal. Their lunch or dinner combination menu is enough food for two to share or even two meals. The duck soup is as authentic as it gets with noodles, bokchoy and 1/2 a crispy duck breast. The service is authentically Chinese with a paper to write your dim sum on and every time you finish a plate their is someone watching to come grab it faster than you can put it down. Miami can really use more dim sum places like this.

Our go to Chinese place. No nonsense authentic food. Fresh and delicious. We've been coming here for over 10 years and we love it. We love the shrimp wonton. The sticky rice is slso a treat. The service is impeccable. We also love the dim sum. Actually everything is delicious. Nice portions for sharing. Very laid back vibe but not about the food!

Still awesome after all these years. Not trying to be fancy just really good food perfectly cooked at a vary fair price

Authentic as it gets. You know it's legit when the people that are there look like they belong. Everything we had was really good to straight up delicious. The fried rice was elite Service while being to the point is still better than you would normally get in Miami

So this is def on the outskirts of Miami and looks like a whole in the wall. I had visited the asian shop a couple of doors down but never imagined to stop in and try the food at this restaurant. I was craving chinese and so I read the reviews and decided to stop in. My honest review is that I was questioning my decision when I stepped into the restaurant, it's not fancy, but what shocked me the most was the carpet on the floor, i'm just not a fan. The staff was so nice and menu was large. I picked a couple of items off the dim sum menu and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I tried was delicious.

I'm changing my review. All of my past visits have been great. The food is great. But on my last visit I was taking family to a birthday brunch, and the minute we stepped in everyone noticed a very strong bathroom deodorizer-like smell. It was strong enough to trigger an asthma reaction in me. We had to leave. My wife asked them what that was, and she was told that they were cleaning the bathrooms with Fabulosa.... Not so much a cleaner as a perfume scented deodorizer. Whatever it was, its strong overwhelming presence would have ruined our meal even I I could have stayed. What a disappointment that a poor decision by someone cleaning a bathroom should impact the restaurant so significantly on a Sunday brunch morning. We ended up having a delightful meal at Tropical Chinese, even if that involved a less interesting selection of Dim Sum. I hope the management rethinks their cleaning timing and choice of cleaners.

My favorite dumpling spot in Miami by far. Come here all the time and it never disappoints, food is consistently amazing! Good prices and very kind & helpful staff. Inside isn't fancy, but always clean and comfortable. Have tried many many things on the menu, but my favorites are the green tea mushroom dumplings, soup dumplings, roast pork buns, and their egg rolls.

Only a four because of decor. But the food is fantastic This is a neighborhood staple. Just down the street from the much fancier tropical Chinese. The exception here is its cheaper, friendlier and has dim sum ALL DAY LOV

By far, the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant in South Florida. They have a phenomenal dim sum menu, with scores of choices and many stars, including roast duck noodle soup, shu mai, and soup dumpling. The wonton soup is excellent, and the daily specials (handwritten on a board) are superb, including the chive flowers with garlic and pea tips with garlic. The service is fast and the corkage fee is reasonable ($15). A couple of dishes don't quite hit the mark, including the roast duck (needed more seasoning, and some pieces had dry meat) and spareribs with black bean sauce (not traditional full-length spareribs, cut chunks that fell short on flavor). The 18% service charge also is problematic- I can understand this at a Michelin-star restaurant (even then, I have a problem with it, as it should be earned, not expected), but not at a low-key dim-sum house. Nevertheless, this should be your go-to for authentic Chinese fare. Parking is never an issue, but they don't take reservations, so get there early or expect a wait.

Kon Chau was absolutely delicious! I visited to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and while it was busy, it didn't feel overcrowded. This is some of the best dim sum I've had in South Florida, which says a lot coming from someone who has enjoyed dim sum in the Chinatowns of New York, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, and even Hong Kong. Every bite was authentic and flavorful. My favorites included the dumplings, fried shrimp balls, fried shrimp with taro, stuffed eggplant with shrimp, pan-fried noodles, and the roasted duck. I'm already craving more! I can't wait to return for another dim sum feast and to explore their other Chinese entrees.

Are they offering dine in again?

Yes, it is open! I just posted a review yesterday ... enjoy

Are they planning on reopening for dine in?

    Probably not any time soon

Do they take all major credit cards like Amex?

Everything but Amex. But the food is great , take out only.

Are they open for sit down dining or is it take out only?

    Take out only for now.

Have they reopened for DINE-IN services again since the county lifted the restrictions on restaurants? If so, how late are they open now?

They are still only offering take out only, no dine in.

Does anyone know if they use peanut oil?

    No, sorry

What are their dim sum hours?

Dim sum style is all day.... unlike other dim sum places they do not run around with carts.... you write what you like and they start bringing you plates.

The highlight for me was definitely the wagyu slider--hands down the best slider we've ever had. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers or sliders, but this one completely changed my mind. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The wagyu tataki was also excellent, tender and well-balanced in flavor. The sashimi and seafood were incredibly fresh, which is always a must for us, and Novikov did not disappoint. The dim sum selection was outstanding--each dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. And the desserts? Easily some of the best we've had compared to other premium buffets--beautifully presented and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the service. It was attentive, warm, and made us feel genuinely special throughout the brunch. As a lovely birthday surprise, my wife received a hat as a gift and got to choose her favorite--she picked the red one, which made the brunch even more memorable.

On top of the poor service, the brunch menu has become extremely limited. They no longer offer the dim sum platters as pictured in the advertisement and many of our favorite dishes including the venison and pumpkin puffs are no longer on the menu. We loved bringing our parents here for dim sum and to celebrate special occasions, but after today, this will definitely be our last visit. What should have been a special Mother's Day celebration ended up being a huge disappointment.
