Being new to the area, I love the experience of trying new places each time I go out. I could not follow that rule with Kuffo though...this restaurant is simply too good to not return again and again. The restaurant is named after the owner's grandma. How can anybody not appreciate a guy that loves his grandma? But there is more to Fernando than just that. He actually sums it up on his website when he writes, "cooking is my passion my real joy comes from making my guests happy." Having been there a few times now, I have grown certain that these are not just words. This sentiment comes from the heart and is evident in not just the amazing food, the attentive service, and the beautiful decor but also in the personal attention he shows every customer. It is not just business to him, it is personal. The food here is spectacular. So far I have tried a bento box which included miso soup, chicken padthai, and sashimi. The combination of flavors, the freshness of the fish, and the presentation were outstanding. I believe the dashi base for the soup must be made from scratch because the soup is so flavorful but, if not, I must find out where he gets it. The fish is nicely portioned and of a high quality. The padthai is not overly sweet like at so many restaurants which allows you to enjoy the perfect balance of savory ingredients including the perfectly cooked noodles. The portion is generous...enough to take some home. I have also had the Mongolian Chicken and the Ginger Glazed Salmon. Each of these were excellent, again sharing that perfect balance of flavors. I would call each of these dishes memorable. The only appetizer I have tried is the gyoza. It was outstanding. I like them fried but not oily, crispy on one side, with moist and not over-seasoned filling. These surpassed my expectations. The word perfect comes to mind. The only reason I have not tried any other appetizers is because the main courses are so generous. For the same reason I have yet to try dessert. I have also not tried any of the side dishes. Strangely, I have ordered sweet plantains twice, but for some reason, they were not served to me either time so I cannot comment on them. The experience was so good that is strange omission did not distract from the experience of the meal. The services is simply outstanding, the food is great and the vibe of the restaurant just creates a wonderful dynamic experience. But again what puts it over the top is the personal intention of the owner who treats us like we are his most valuable customer ever every time we walk in. And we will walk in. So a co worker of mine loves to rave about this place so had to give it a try. Checked out there menu online and noticed they had a lunch menu selection. They had several bento box options that sounded so tasty. They had a selection of other lunch specials available along with their regular menu. Wanting to spice things up for lunch I went with the bento combination box B which came with shrimp tempura, shrimp dumplings, and fish katsu. It came with all the sauces, ginger, and wasabi. The fish katsu I didnt really care for but I'm not one who like alot of breading on fried food so I gave that to my friend and she pleasantly enjoyed. Shrimp tempura is always good but the star of the show for me were the shrimp dumplings...I love them and would order these alone. Great little spot in Country Walk! We finally got a chance to visit and were very glad we did. Service was good and the food was great. We tried the following: Bao Buns- great light slaw accompanied with soft, delicious pork belly. Drunken Noodles- great flavor, texture and a large portion of noodles and chicken. Matsumoto- the star of the night! Great sushi topped with a huge amount of crab. The flavor was impressive and the serving was more than enough. If you're nearby, definitely worth a visit! The food and service was excellent. Found this hidden gem and gave it a shot...glad I did. We had the Ramen and Bento Box that contains the drunken noodles (Bento E). It's a quaint restaurant. The noodles are the best I've tried in the Miami/Homestead area...I don't know if it's made by the restaurant, but seems that way. We enjoyed it all...and only wish we had more room for food. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. I will definitely come back and if you are looking for good Asian fusion, give this one a try, there's a reason it's getting high reviews. So glad I found this gem. It's a neighborhood hole in the wall that totally surprised me. I love it so much, I have been here about 4 times in the last 3 months. My family loves it too. The food is soooo delicious. My favorite are the bao buns. Sooo good. We have had the pad thai, drunken noodles, Tom yum soup, different sushi, different bento boxes, EVERYTHING we have eaten here has been amazing! My hubby loves the fish sandwich. It's so crispy and flavorful. The desserts are sooo yummy also. I recommend the oreos. Not only is the food yummy, but the service is also great. This is a random little spot, but the food was really good! I had the ramen, which had really good broth, but the noodles tasted like the kind my Cuban grandma would put in her chicken soup. I don't usually leave reviews, unless I had comically bad food. And this place is one of them. So I ordered my safe option for sushi restaurant. Tuna tartare, Ramen and Tempura roll. And they botched all of them, which is actually pretty funny. Starting with the tempura roll, they rolled a tiny shrimp with soggy rice. So imagine dip your sushi in water then try eat it. Ramen is not much of an improvement, the noodle is super soft, either overcooked or very cheap noodle and the ramen broth taste like instant ramen, BTW the egg is hard boiled. I mean it's pretty hard to get every single thing wrong for a bow of ramen The tuna tartare taste ok, taste like a poke bow. But man they cost $20, so try imagine you get 1 scoop poke bow for $20. And if you had a bad dining experience, I would encourage you share them, so more people can just buy sushi from supermarket, it will save them a lot of money and probably taste better. read more

First I'll start with the positives. The place looks nice and clean, and the staff is very welcoming. No problem at all with that. The problem lies with the food. Visually, everything is plated quite well and looks the part. However the taste was jarring. My gf couldn't even finish eating the food and started feeling a bit sick. The volcano slaw they put on top of the rolls had a spoiled taste to it. Overloaded with Mayo and what seemed to be lime. The quality of the sushi ingredients were definitely lacking, the rice was very telling. The bao buns looked great but the pork belly was chewy and tasted undercooked. The pad Thai was ok, but the chicken had a bit of strange taste. Something about the proteins in this place seemed off. I tried my best to eat a much as I could but even as I type this review, something in my stomach is not agreeing. God help me. read more

The service for starters is super pleasant and friendly. The staff working (who I can safely assume are the owners) are very inviting and extroverted which is hard to find in Miami. The dining area is small so not really the kind of place you'd come in a big group however if you're living in Country Walk it's right in your shopping center and definitely worth it! Anywhere you are in Country Walk is a short less than 5 min drive to pick up your food and it'll be hot and fresh by the time you get back home. Now the food is really something different. EVERYTHING IS FRESH! The taste is fresh, the product is fresh, the menu is fresh and always adding new things. I had the Bento Box E (Drunken Noodles w/chicken, chicken dumplings, and sushi for $15 and it's a very well sized portions. Definitely enough for today and tomorrow, I'd rate this plate 8/10, the House Papi Sushi is 10/10 AMAZING! They also have ceviche and fried fish so I'm definitely coming back sometime this week for a fried fish because I've been craving it! Finally a great Asian type spot in the area that's not sushi saki and moon. Not only is it a family business but the restaurant is impeccable. The service is great. And the food is fresh and good. In my opinion if you go to sushi saki again after knowing of this restaurant, you need to go to jail lol No but for real. First thing first, the taste/food was not bad. It's mediocre. The thing I'm not satisfied is that some of the dishes are way overpriced. Drunken noodles signature(chicken, beef, shrimp) is$22? Even New York's fancy Thai restaurant won't charge that much. Let alone this is a small town dining place. Pad Thai with lobster is $30. Seems okay, but you only have Half a lob tail. My bday ordered a regular size on the fried rice which was big as well and delicious. I recently went to this place. It's pretty hidden inside the country walk shopping center and the only reason I found it was because i was in the area searching on Google and Yelp what to eat. I'll start by saying the service was great. The waitress was very attentive and always made sure to ask if everything was okay or if I needed something. She was serving 4 other tables while I was there and always made sure my water was refilled. Grant it this place was very small (only 7 tables) but I've been to small place that are not this attentive. The food was delicious. I had the pork belly bao and it was perfect. It was very tasty and the pork belly was perfectly soft. I also had the tamboura bagel roll which was also very good and the miso soup. I'll definitely be coming by more often. They have a reasonably priced lunch menu as well. I do highly recommend this place. For those of whom have given this place a low rating because of the wrong schedule, it's a low blow. In my experience, never go by the hours on these sites because the restaurants don't always update them and customers can change them as well. After many experiences with this I highly recommend calling first before just going. read more

This is the go-to restaurant for my family. After going with my partner on Valentine's Day, it has become a staple for us as a safe choice to eat for several visits now. The service is excellent and we are always remembered as regulars (down to what we order!) The curry domburi bowl and the drunken noodles are phenomenal and I recommend them wholeheartedly.
