This is the go-to restaurant for my family. After going with my partner on Valentine's Day, it has become a staple for us as a safe choice to eat for several visits now. The service is excellent and we are always remembered as regulars (down to what we order!) The curry domburi bowl and the drunken noodles are phenomenal and I recommend them wholeheartedly. Great new Asian fusion spot in the heart of country walk! It's a small, well decorated hidden gem with flavors that leave you wanting more. I was told by the chef that they opened about three months ago, have adjusted and added new items to their menu and have weekly specials that they advertise on Instagram/social media. I can't imagine how Covid must be impacting their current capacity and customer base so I definitely felt the need to leave this review so more people will give this great spot a try. I stopped in on a Wednesday night looking to fill a sushi craving and so glad I decided to try this place instead of hitting my usual spots. I started with the tuna tataki from their cold appetizer menu and it was very fresh! The tataki sits on what seems to be a cabbage slaw drenched in ponzu and it's fantastic. The earthiness of the slaw and micro greens combined with the freshness of the tuna and the flavor punch that the ponzu has is such a satisfying mix. I followed with the gyoza which I ordered fried and again, the sauce on the side had such a great, strong flavor to it. The gyoza itself were perfectly fried and came out quickly. Definitely recommend these if you are a gyoza lover like me. To fill my sushi craving I opted for the Spicy scallop roll and it was delicious! I'm not one to choose rolls with dynamite mixes on top but with how fresh everything else was, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! The roll comes with tuna, avocado and cucumber and is topped with a crab, carrot (I think?) and scallop dynamite mix with masago and scallions. The roll itself was very fresh, presented well and again, topped with a very flavorful mix/sauce. I think they may have turned me on to dynamite seafood... we'll see! The staff is very welcoming and genuine, eager to get feedback and stopped by on several occasions to make sure everything came out great. To add to the attentive service, the chef stopped by to offer dessert for being a first timer which I greatly appreciated! We really enjoyed this place. We've been looking for a good asian fusion spot around here for a while and glad we came to Kuffo. Very good, friendly and attentive service. We had the asian fried calamari appetizer which was exceptionally good. The buttermilk battered calamari rings were fried to perfection, and complemented with a couple of tasty sauces. My wife had a tom ka soup and panfried gyoza, she said the tom ka is the best she's had. The kids had the chicken teriyaki, and I had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Go HERE! This place is 7 weeks old and I have a feeling they will be around for a long time. Kuffo is named after his grandmother. It taste like she is in the kitchen cooking. My wife heard about this place from a recommendation from the neighbors app. Wow what a spot to eat Vietnamese. I love how fresh the food is and the quality. Started with the spicy Octopus roll with avocado. Then we had the Rahman noodles with pork belly and egg which was spectacular. Main was the pad Thai noodles with beef along with veg stir fry with chicken. Definitely coming here often! The owner was super cool. I tried giving KUFFO another shot, and I am extremely disappointed. I ordered the same dish I ordered the first time (Chicken Stir Fry), and I went with the Teriyaki sauce again and the same vegetables: corn, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, scallion. I also ordered a Shrimp Stir Fry with ginger sauce and all the vegetables, a soup, and an order of Fried Calamari. Chicken Stir Fry, Teriyaki Sauce The sauce was still watery like before, the portion size actually got smaller than before and they gave less rice than before so there still wasn't enough rice for the food which was less quantity, and honestly, slightly lower quality as well. The actual bowl in which they serve all the food is smaller than the previous time I ate here, and it's only been a month; and the price stayed the same (less food, same cost). Also I didn't order zucchini in my chicken stir fry, yet I still found about 5 pieces in it. Shrimp Stir Fry, Ginger Sauce The sauce was watery once again, portion was smaller for the same price, not enough rice, and the shrimp wasn't good. For $18 this is absolutely not worth it. Fried Calamari 18 small pieces of Fries Calamari for $14, it's just doesn't make sense and definitely not worth that price. The wasabi tarter sauce was okay, and the Calamari was fine, but all these prices are unreasonable. Tonkotsu Ramen This was definitely the worst dish, no flavor, small portion again, overcooked egg, and for $12 again, terrible pricing. All in all, definitely do not recommend KUFFO, I wish I could but I just can't, it's very overpriced for what it is, the portions were already small and imbalanced to begin with and they just got smaller, the food quality hasn't improved. Just a no for me. Also I just realized the owner of KUFFO, Fernando Vargas, said: "This is the first time we are hearing about our serving size being too small, we will take your input into consideration". And then he proceeds to make the serving size EVEN SMALLER and keeps charging the same price, what a guy, what a joke, what a scam. read more

I heard through the grapevine this place was open so I had to try it for myself. It took over the spot where the Pizza Hut used to be and I have to say I love what they've done with the place. We ordered the calamari, shrimp pad Thai, matsomuto roll, job roll, and a kids chicken katsu. Calamari was very crunchy, it had a great texture was cooked properly and was very fresh. The pad Thai came with about 9-10 good sized shrimp. I liked the taste but the peanuts were too tiny so I didn't get that nice crunch, it also lacked the spice it's great if you prefer your pad Thai mild. The jb roll was with cooked salmon which I didn't realize. I prefer raw salmon in the jb roll so I can't say I enjoyed this one. The Matsumoto roll was my favorite,it was delicious and very filling, the seafood sale placed on top had a great flavor and texture. Finally chicken Katsu fingers were more like nuggets than fingers but they were still a success rated by my 6 year old nephew. They did forget the fries but considering they just opened, I think they did very well. All of the food was packaged with care and traveled well. Overall I recommend you give them a try! read more

We were skeptical based on the shopping center and lack of restaurants in the area that it would be good, but boy were we wrong. The Stir fry is super fresh and delicious! We shared the Japanese bagel sushi and it's by far the best sushi I've had in Miami. The second time we've visited (in under a week) We got the Poke bowl, Japanese bagel sushi again, tuna taki, salmon roll, bao buns and multiple other dishes and once again we were super impressed! We finally got to eat here in person after ordering takeout a couple of times. And I have to say the experience was even better. It's a mom and pop restaurant with the entire family cooking fresh dishes in the back. Everything you are being served is made fresh and from scratch as you can see, the chefs hard at work. We ordered the seaweed salad to start it, which was perfection. We then got the drunken noodles and Ramen. The drunken noodles were a slight sweet flavor with a hint of spice. My daughter loved it and ate the whole plate. Side note portions are generous. The ramen was delicious. Also a large portion with ample pork belly and loaded with noodles. The broth was savory and hit the spot. We finished with some Thai donuts which were fried two crunchy perfection on the outside nice and soft on the inside, because accompanied by some tasty vanilla ice cream and sweet condensed milk. And all we had a very nice dinner experience, the service was top-notch, and the food tasted, fresh and delicious. We were a party of four and everyone had a positive experience at our table. The restaurant is small and quaint, and the decor is very tasteful to go with the theme. Nice to have this hidden gem with reasonable prices in the south of Kendall. A must visit. read more

Amazing little gem my family and I just found!!! Everything we ordered was amazingly delicious. We're already talking about what we're going to get on our next visit. Advice for family with small children: all their tables are high tops against booth seats and chairs. No highchairs at location or that would reach high tops anyway so if your kids are 2 and above and can sit on booth you'll have no issue. We took our 4 and 2 year old and they sat and ate just fine but that's our kids. If you really need a highchair maybe take a stroller with a snack tray. Even without the highchairs, I'm still giving it a 5 star review. Great service too. read more
