Such a hidden gem in the neighborhood. It's tucked away in a condo in brickell which means you don't deal with the typical crowds and rushes. The food was on point. Their selection was great and came out fast. The overall feel and ambiance was like a hole in the wall pop up but with roots to stay. 9/10. Will be going back absolutely. read more

They had me at sushi sandwich. I had to try it! We were seated right away on a Thursday night. Server was attentive and quick. Salmon avocado tartar was great. My husband normally doesn't like a lot of avocado, but liked it in this dish. Sushi sandwich was fun. Sauce was yummy. Lots of good flavors. All the rolls were great. The jalapeño popper roll is like nothing I've had before at a sushi joint. Comes out warm with a jalapeño on top. Lemon tuna roll was very refreshing. Don't add soy sauce. Just enjoy the flavors. Then the hot sb roll. Has a charred outside which adds a smokey touch to the roll. Only downside was the place got very loud when it filled up. But the food made up for that. read more

First of all, this restaurant is on DoorDash but doesn't even deliver through doordash. Texts ur number asking if u want a human or robot to deliver ur food lol. After it got delivered I checked door dash and it said the food was still being prepared. It was not like this prior when I had ordered through DoorDash. I have given this place 5 stars before because I had a good experience. Now I will give a 1 because they decide to give me a spicy tuna roll with stale rice. The rice tastes like it is 2 days old. The tuna isn't spicy. They give u a side of spicy mayo and it also isn't spicy. Doesn't even taste good. I've never had a spicy mayo that doesn't taste good. Got my roll delivered and threw it away after I had two bites. Won't be ordering again. read more

This is my third or fourth time visiting Obba Sushi for their fabulous lunch specials. The deals are exceptional, where else in Miami can you find a 16 piece California Roll for $12 including choice of Miso soup or salad and for an additional $3 you can have a glass of wine! (Or soft drink or coffee) The service is super friendly. We used to have Henry as our server but he has returned to his home country, we enjoyed Lulu today instead. The restaurant itself is immaculately clean (rest rooms included) And if you sit by the far window one of you gets a lovely view of Biscayne Bay. There is a wide variety on the menu, but I always opt for something on the Lunch specials. Highly recommend this semi-hidden Brickell gem. read more

The music here is one millennial bop after another so I was having a little concert at the table waiting for the sushi. I ordered a salmon crunchy rice less roll. Well presented however a bit softer than I am used to and I expected the whole role to be fried through. Would come back and try another roll for lunch. Saw some families, and friend groups so it's a healthy mix of folks. Loved taking a walk by the water afterward. I think the place is pretty and the food is good. I love that they have riceless option, very crative indeed. My husband and I stopped by last week. My husband had a lunch special and I had a riceless roll. We really thought the food was good so we decided to come back this week. However, when we returned this time, my husband wanted to ordered the same thing, which is the lunch special, he didn't get it. So we asked the waitress if they changed the lunch special to a bigger portion. She said no and said my husband ask for the regular dish, not the lunch special. Okay, that's fine. We'd take it anyway. The waitress then proceeded to talk about us to her coworker. Everything was fine. Why would she do that? We didn't complain. We simply asked and took the food regardless. Hm. A little confused by the lower reviews here as the menu was big, affordable, diverse, well executed and had everything from sashimi, to sushi to rolls to chicken and rice bowls. Kinda a bummer there isn't really a view since it's right off the water and can be hard to find but this is totally worth a stop in. Ordered the avocado salad, spring rolls, salmon and avocado roll, the heat roll and the yuzu hamachi roll . All of these were well made and tasty. The yuzu hamachi roll came with a leafy herb on top that was similar to mint... Super refreshing. This was my least favorite roll of the set and is probably not for everyone. This review is a four instead of a five though because of the service. We had to ask her multiple times to bring silverware and to take away empty plates. My favorite part about Obba sushi is their specialty 'Obba' sushi sandwich. It's SO good. The tuna tataki is delicious, and so is their green tea. The waiters do take a bit long to bring your food. You usually should make a reservation to come since the local is small, but walk ins are welcome as well. The restaurant is located within a residential condo in the Brickell area. It has a cool zen decor to it, but it doesn't have much ambience. It's pretty secluded in my opinion (if you care about that stuff then I suggest go somewhere that has outside seating). I have been told a few times about this restaurant so we went for happy hour. It was okay. The happy hour rolls were okay in quality with a limited number of drinks (Prosecco for $5 is the only wine and well worth the price). The happy hour rolls are bigger and better at nearby restaurants. The regular rolls were outrageous in price (+$15). Might go back to try the lunch special. Waitress was fantastic. read more
