The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I save those for super over the top experiences. That said, we only came for dessert and coffee and both were scrumptious- huge and decadent and enough for 4 people. We had the kamikaze because we were craving something sweet and it hit the spot. Can't wait to come back to try the sushi - photos to follow

Nigiri Couple Eel
Ashley Y.

Came here for the first time with some coworkers. Upon entering we were greeted and sat down quickly. Our server explained the menu to us, as it is not a typical sushi place but rather has a Latin fusion to it. After some time of looking through I chose the Eel Nigiri, Eel Handroll, Suntory, and Georgina Roll. I got the Eel Nigiri and Handroll as an appetizer and it came fairly quick. The nigiri was a bit bigger than other places I've been to and it was very flavorful, unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the Handroll. The eel wasn't as flavorful in the handroll, and I expected there to be cream cheese throughout the roll but it was only used to seal the handroll. The Suntory Roll is a basic roll, but despite that it was very flavorful, however the avocado was a bit overripe. The Georgina Roll is a good choice for those that are looking for low carb high protein options, however if you're not a fan of raw fish you'd might not enjoy it. I enjoyed the different textures of this roll, the crispiness of the shrimp tempura and the freshness of the salmon, however the avocado on this roll was underripe. Some of the dishes were big enough to share with the table. However it's important to note that they serve their dishes on big plates and the tables are a bit small. Overall, the food was delicious and I would come again.

Restaurant was empty when we walked in so we were a little skeptical. But right away we were given an ipad once sitting to view their menu! Sooo many options but we ended up getting yakisoba beef noodles! with an egg on top. YUM! sooo flavorful. & i believe we also got the havana 305 roll. A little skimpy on the sauces as they charge each of them they should be filled to the top! But over all good experience.

We really loved this sushi restaursnt. So glad we came here. We ordered a salmon salad, salmon roll avodado roll, cream soup and some rice and chicjen for our son. Everything was azing. Thr right amount of fish. My favorite was the salad - absolutely delicious. Service was also amazing. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We will def be coming back when in the area!!

LOVED this place!!!! It's been a while since I tried a good sushi restaurant. Although fusion ( I like the more traditional places), this place beat my expectations. I even felt comfortable with trying the raw sushi (bc I'm pregnant). We had a soup that was also absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and the restaurant was very nice. Decorated very modern. I really liked this place and would def come back. Even my son who is 2 loved it!!

Discover this phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Coral Way in Coral Gables, the decoration is so vibrant displaying a unique decor in every corner. The wall art and the figurines in the wall are fantastic too. The chairs are all different and the ambiance is very welcoming as well as the lighting, the venue has a lot of space and also offers outdoors seating. I loved the menu because it features photos, description and an interactive menu presented in a tablet with many choices including Latin/fusion dishes, signature rolls, sushi for big groups hot/cold teas, desserts and much more... I ordered the Marlenita and Santori signature rolls and they didn't disappoint. The pieces had a generous amounts of salmon, avocado and it was were perfectly prepared and crafted. I really loved each piece and the presentation was on point. I appreciate Esteban exceptional customer service. He was hospitable, attentive, and very professional. I will definitely return to try the signature bowls and eat more edamame!! Ps. The ice cream was soft, the Nutella made every bite delightful

Amazing spot for sushi, ceviche, drinks and dessert. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was so welcoming and had recommendations for the menu and answered any questions we had. This was my second time here and both times I had a wonderful dining experience with amazing food. I will be coming back soon. Thank you Sushi Kong for a great dining experience.

Florida Crunch Roll

Overhyped. Sushi was ok nothing special. Could use more flavor. Menu seemed limited because most of the rolls were all to similar. Was expecting more based off reviews.

Japanese fluffy pancakes
Nathan D.

came out here after seeing that they do fluffy Japanese pancakes and its been a struggle to find a place that does in south florida. Found 1 other spot in boca but after reading reviews seemed this would b may more legit. When we got here so many other good thing on the menu so we decided to order a bunch of stuff and share. Got the sushi pizza, bacon bond, pancakes, fresh juice, Romeo and juliet roll, and nuggets and fries for the kids. Everything was amazing.. the the pancakes did not disappoint! highly reccomended!

Romeo and Juliet Roll Kampai Roll Suntury Roll. Excellent!!

No, but if you want I can do it for you

Does anyone know where can I find their brunch menu?

Ask them over instagram

Do you guys have reservations for Sunday Brunch? We have a party of 7 and don't want to end up missing out on the table but when we called they said no reservations?…

Hello. At what time?

Do you guys do brunch? If so? Where can I look the brunch menu?

yes, online

Do they take reservations?

Yes. But not weekends at night.

Do you guys answer the phone? I called several times to place a to-go order.

Don't worry, they might be extremely busy with 3 tables. That happened to us while dining in. We were 1 of the 3 tables in the restaurant (all parties of 2) and it took more than 40min to get an sushi a nigiri appetizer.

I find this disappointing as I always like to go to try different dishes from the standard menu. To me it shows that the restaurants that do a special menu are normally more innovative. Had I known this beforehand I would not have come. Having said that the food I sampled was decent enough. My appetizer was the Korean chicken which was plentiful. My main was the ribs. I was surprised to see that it was just that only meat. I expected there to have been a bit of a garnish or greens. Between the ribs and chicken my whole diet was meat. The dessert was two choices. I went with the chocolate cake. The hocolate cake slice was the smallest slice I've ever been served in a restaurant. I really liked the decor. I also really liked the music that was being played. Service was efficient. The ladies toilets had a damp smell. Overall I was disappointed and would not visit again.

Even with reservations they were a little slow in seating for a fairly empty restaurant (noon). Ordered drinks (tea $6 and coffee $5) then brunch. Seems like service coordination is very off. My spouse got the appetizer a good 15 minutes before mine. I had the biscuit, that was very tasty. The fruit, granola yogurt was good too. The main of crab Benedict was served, next although already cooled and the sauce a congealed. My main, after a good 30 minutes still had not arrived. Apparently a steak and eggs can be miscooked and they had redone it, never bothering to tell us. I did not try it there. Refills on the coffee were never offered. We took the steak and our cinnamon buns to go since we had been there long enough. The final kicker is they have an automatic 20% service charge in order to ensure the staff is paid enough. Seems like a business problem to me. Service was not up to that high of a standard. If you go during Miami Spice I hope they have figured out how to sequence the courses and get them to the table correctly while still hot.

Mediocre Food, Insultingly Small Portions and Poor Service…read more Unfortunately, Komodo was a major disappointment. The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.

The acrobatic shows began at 8:00 p.m., with additional performances at 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. The acrobat was graceful, mesmerizing, strong, and sexy. When we made our reservation, we also asked for a table with a good view of the show, and they accommodated us with a fantastic front-row view from one of the couches. It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Although the restaurant initially feels like an indoor space, the central courtyard is actually open-air with overhead coverings, so there is plenty of fresh air while still feeling sheltered. Tall palm trees, pools of water, couches, and traditional dining tables create a beautiful and distinctive atmosphere. Overhead fans kept the temperature surprisingly comfortable despite the Miami heat. For Miami Spice, we had the tuna tacos, miso branzino, and Milk Tea for dessert -- jasmine green tea crème brûlée with honey tea jelly and lychee sorbet. Dining at Jaya was one of the highlights of our trip to Miami. Delicious food, great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful entertainment made it much more than just dinner. The ambiance was incredible. It is outdoors so you will need to prepare for the elements. We also had live music while we were there. Service was pretty great in the beginning, very attentive, but you could tell when the restaurant was starting to get busier, which meant our server was occupied for longer periods of time. It took us some time to get our server to bring the check. It's a 2-hour dining experience that you pay $110/person plus the 20% service charge but we ended up getting shuffled out about an hour and a half into it. I'm assuming she was the manager who was directing other staff to "get these people out of here" to our table and the surrounding tables next to us. Which the tables next to us sat after us, so they were there for even less time. So aside from the older woman, who I assume was a manager, everything else was great!

Some got alcoholic cocktails and some opted for non-alcoholic options. All drinks were great. For appetizers, the Bing bread is KING!!! You just have to get it!!! If you get anything on Zitz Sum menu, get the Bing bread!!! The best thing we ate here. No joke. Wagyu beef tartare melts in your mouth. Wahoo crudo was super fresh and light. Summer salad had good crunchy texture and flavor. Charred cabbage was another good one with all the textures and charred goodness. For the main dishes, the gnocchi with truffles was heavenly. They had me truffles! The Koshihikari rice dish with squash and beans was a nice combo of flavors, I'm a big fan of squash and I loved the thin slices of squash. Black grouper was a nice piece of fish that was flakey goodness with tons of flavors. Dessert was beautiful. Both of them. I didn't love the Razzle Dazzle as I'm not a white chocolate fan and this flavor profile was just ok. The HK French Toast was a burst of flavors popping out, not to mention it was beautifully plated. Overall, everything about Zitz Sum was ON POINT!!! The whole vibe...ambiance, decor, service, food, drinks and presentation on everything was gorgeous!!! Highly recommended.
