I happened to be in Coral Gables today and was in the mood for some sushi rolls. According to my phones GPS Kae was approximately 800 yards away with great reviews so I decided to try them out. I was prepared to order form the main menu as I thought the price point was pretty reasonable ,however the waitress encouraged me to try their lunch special: For $25 you gout your choice of 2 sushi rolls, 2 appetizers, and desert. For my appetizers, I decided to try the edamame and spring roll and for my rolls I chose the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll and the Lobster Deluxe Roll. The special also came with a desert. I forgot what it was called but it was a soft/solid chocolate shell on the outside and chocolate ice cream on the inside. The food was delicious, tasty and fresh-- they give you the perfect amount of food--not too much not too little! My waitress was very pleasant and kind while she explained the different types of rolls they had. Keep in mind though if you order a sparkling water, it's served by the bottle and not the glass (although the menu says otherwise) This wasn't an issue for me personally but I thought it was worth mentioning. The ambiance was just beautiful! Very cozy and beautifully furnished. You can tell who ever decorated it put lots of thought into the small details. It was much appreciated by me-- I sat by window on a rainy afternoon and enjoyed a great lunch. Will definitely come back again!

I went back twice for the butter lobster roll! I'm traveling from a landlocked state, so fresh fish is a treat :)

Intimate sushi spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The inside seating was nice and cozy, just what we wanted. Intimate, cozy, and delicious sushi. The sushi was A+, we absolutely loved everything we ordered. The crispy salmon rice, tuna tataki, the ceviche roll, and volcano roll were mouth watering. There was only 1 waitress and she was amazing with her hospitality and helping all the customers. KAE by Chef Landa is on our radar now and we will visit again.

    Toro & Caviar Roll

What an amazing sushi spot to try!! The location is a hidden gem on Giralda Ave . Very impressed with the whole experience from the moment we walked in , ambiance and overall dining experience. We were greeted and attended by the wife of the chef which made the dining experience superb. Gave us suggestions on the choices and wow! We loved them all. We started with ceviche de corvina and salmon avocado sushi rolls which were perfect and delicious. But the star of the show was the Toro & Caviar roll which was sooo delicious that I can't wait to go back for more. This is a one of a kind roll with a rich delicious flavor never tasted before. This roll is only served on the weekends. We were soo impressed that we shared our opinion and chef Landa came out of the kitchen to greet us and thanked us for the visit and encouraged us to come back. Definitely returning and a must for all sushi lovers!!

Kae Sushi is found on the lovely street of Giralda. You can opt to sit outside on a nice evening and enjoy. Great little spot for a date and some good sushi. They have very interesting rolls including a guava one and a prosciutto roll. The Prosciutto roll was phenomenal I mean hands down! I would have never thought to put prosciutto on a roll but let me tell you that it works. The flavor profile is insane. An Italian roll, if you will haha. The restaurant does not have cocktails, they have your glass of wine and beer. Everything was great. I definitely recommend!

Pork Gyoza (steamed) and Tuna Tataki

We decided to go out for sushi to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and settled on Kae after walking around Giralda. As per usual we arrived shortly before they closed so we ordered everything as quickly as possible to not delay staff from closing up at 9. Service was great, super attentive and never made us feel rushed in the slightest. We started with the steamed pork gyoza and tuna tatake. The gyoza was exceptional, tuna tatake was different with a smoky flavor and subtle kick. I was looking forward to trying the sashimi roll only to find out they didn't have that anymore The rolls are tiny at only 5 pieces per roll, so we both ordered a giralda roll and my partner also had a volcano roll (food took a little while to come out and we finished the it by the time we realized we didn't get pics, sorry!). Rolls were good, but it was really difficult to appreciate the flavors beneath all of the eel sauce. My partner made a comment he felt like he'd taken a shot of eel sauce, and he was right. Given our proximity to Kae, I might be willing to try it again but my partner said he'd pass on it in the future. All in all I'd try it again but make a mental note to ask for the sauce on the side!

Went to Kae sushi on a Saturday evening. I recommend a reservation just in case. It seems sometimes it can be more busy than others. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have some cool sushi choices. I ordered one roll of the salmon with passion fruit. One roll of salmon with guava. If you like sweet, it's a good mix and match. For dessert, I ordered a Nutella roll, which was good, but I want to try the Thai donuts next time. Prices are ok. The rolls I ordered are 5 pieces. Would have liked more. They have outside and inside seating. I would recommend to atleast try once.

    Salmon sensation

Delicious Sushi, amazing service, definitely recommend! Kathy was very warm and hospitable. During our visit we had salmon sensation, passion fruit roll, and the Neptune salad. This is a little hole on the wall, but a MUST! I promise!

Quaint little spot located in the heart of the Gables. Wine, Sake, and beer available, no cocktails. Good music, came during the week so was quiet and had a relaxing time alone. Clean and a/c was comfortably cold. Lunch special on website 12p-3p Mon-Fri. Service was spectacular Mayi was very friendly/knowledgeable/and consistent with checking in on me. Everyone at the establishment aimed to make sure my visit here was beyond expectations. Prices are a bit high but for the location, not surprised, and the portioning reflects the price. They do have a small 3 seat bar by the sushi station(very small).

    Thai donuts-que rico!

You have to go into a garage looking area and it's inside the building. The service was good, our server was nice. They allowed us to bring our dog inside with us. The food was great! To start off we enjoyed some shrimp that was lathered in spicy mayo and some chicken gyoza. Both appetizers were very good. I enjoyed the pad Thai as my entree, I had it with chicken and the portion was pretty big. I took half of it to go. We were so full, we couldn't get dessert. I look forward to coming back and dining once again. I definitely need to try the Thai donuts or the Nutella crepe cake.

Perhaps the day will come when I will stop being surprised at how many outstanding restaurants…read morethere are in our wonderful city of Miami. Relying solely on the reviews of my fellow Yelpers we decided to try 107 Taste. And I must say in terms of this restaurant, it was love at first sight. First of all the restaurant is really attractive. It is always a good sign when you walk into a restaurant on a random Wednesday night to see that the mid week crowd is comparable to what you would see other popular restaurants on the weekend. When you walk in the door, you're hit with the subtle aromas. They put your taste buds on high alert. Looking at the food on the other diner's tables only serves to make you salivate for what you were about to eat. Even before the first bite, you know you are in for a treat. I love Asian food and already have several favorites, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy this meal. The menu is a combination of a variety of Asian cuisines and tonight we decided to go with the wonton soup and the combination pad Thai these were also the recommendations of our server. Admittedly, there were a number of appetizers that attracted my attention and I did look ahead to dessert with the admission to try those as well. But our two entrées were so filling and so satisfying there was nothing that could've made the meal better. Some key points are that one of my pet peeves is when there are pictures on the menu and the food looks nothing like the picture. These many pictures are spot on so that beautiful pad Thai pictured on the menu was exactly what was put on my table. Same with the wonton soup. The wonton soup was quite tasty with fresh bok choy and delicious homemade wontons. It does have noodles in it, but no proteins outside of the wonton filling. The Pad Thai was the perfect balance balance of sweet and savory that you would find, and only the finest of Thai restaurants I loved every bite. When you order a dish with combination meets you often disappointed because the different proteins require different cooking times and so none of them actually seem cooked quite right. This was not the case here. The chefs take care to make sure that every vegetable, every noodle, every piece of shrimp, steak, and chicken are cooked perfectly. The sauce is so balanced and complements the ingredients perfectly. Food prices were reasonable. I did not order tea, which I usually would at an Asian restaurant because I thought the price was a bit high. I did not ask if complementary refills came with the soft drinks or iced tea. Overall, this was great experience with remarkably excellent food and superlative service. There's parking in the back although I parked on the street. This is a great addition to the growing number of restaurants in South Miami and is one that I am sure to return to.

Standout of the nigh for me was the Koshihikari rice with black garlic butter, wagyu beef marmalade, gruyere, and egg yolk all mixed together ... texture and flavor were on another level. The Hokkaido scallop crudo was phenomenal too, bright and clean with that acevichado kick. And the prawn toast with shrimp sausage? Indescribable in the best way, one of the best bites of the night. Dessert had me skeptical going in, but the white chocolate parfait won me over completely .. strawberries, calpico, white chocolate, basically a grown up pavlova. Service matched the food..attentive, knowledgeable, clearly there for the craft and not the clout. A collab done right. 10/10, would chase down every future one no questions asked

One thing that was particularly disappointing was what happened after our visit. I reached out to the restaurant through social media to share our concerns and was told that someone would be contacting me directly. After weeks passed without any response, I followed up multiple times myself, yet I still never heard from anyone. That lack of communication was just as disappointing as some of the issues we experienced during dinner. Our evening began with a poorly situated table. The restaurant's air conditioning was apparently not working, and a portable AC unit had been placed in the corridor, blowing directly onto our table throughout the meal. We politely requested another table, but our request was declined, despite several empty tables remaining available for the entirety of our 90-minute reservation. What made this even more frustrating was seeing another party of two, who were seated after us, moved to a quieter, more secluded table away from the draft. The appetizers were excellent and set a promising tone for the meal. Unfortunately, the timing of the main courses was a significant issue. My husband's fish arrived well before my steak, and despite intentionally waiting, his meal became cold. He ultimately finished his entire entrée before mine was ever served. We even asked our server if there had been any confusion with the courses, but the delay remained unexplained. The pacing of table service could also be improved. My husband and I both work in hospitality, so we may notice these details more than the average guest, but there were multiple occasions where empty plates remained on our table for an extended period. By the time guests feel the need to stack dishes themselves just to create space, it's usually a sign that clearing has been delayed too long. The table itself also felt quite cramped. There was no practical place to store personal belongings, so I ended up holding my purse on my lap for the entire dinner. As for the food, there were several highlights. The wontons were spectacular, and the broth was exceptional. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The quality of the steak was excellent, although it felt like it could have benefited from an accompanying side. The portion of hollandaise (or mayonnaise-based sauce) was quite generous relative to the size of the steak. My husband's fish was light, fresh, and paired beautifully with the tender farro. The wine selection was decent and offered value compared with similarly priced wine lists elsewhere. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening, even though we were disappointed that our seating concerns could not be accommodated. One additional area for improvement: when we asked about purchasing a bottle of wine, our server initially assumed my husband wanted a single glass. While this was a minor misunderstanding, asking a brief clarifying question before placing the order would help avoid confusion. Overall, there is clearly talented people in both the kitchen and front-of-house team, and the quality of the food demonstrates that. However, inconsistent service, poor course timing, the lack of flexibility with seating, and the complete absence of follow-up after management indicated they would reach out ultimately left us disappointed.

I will say the sushi roll itself (while not necessarily small) was not all that large/filling, so I would recommend getting something else on the side. I liked that their roll and appetizers had a fun flavor and uniqueness that I haven't seen at other places. But I will say the prices are a little expensive but I guess average for Miami area. I was surprised to find single-use chopsticks over reusable ones. A small detail in an otherwise fairly nice restaurant that did kind of stick out to me. The vibe kind of felt like a mix of a slightly more upscale restaurant, but also kind of minimalist modern if that makes sense? Additionally, our service was a bit slow, with our waiter right over our shoulder asking if we were ready to place our order, no then not being around for the rest of the meal. Maybe it was just an off night though, and the food did come out fairly quickly. Overall I did enjoy my meal here, and I would probably come back eventually when I want something slightly more upscale. But on a day-to-day I would probably go Edward for my sushi fix. Not that the food was bad by any meals. I really enjoyed the fun and different flavor combinations, it's just a little pricy to go to everyday, and in my opinion the main portion sizes don't quite reflect that or have any particular flare to them aside from a colorful/flavorful sauce or topping in them. Recommend a try if you are nearby though to see for yourself.
