    Salmon lovers roll

This is a small business but either way they should have better quality. The octopus dumplings had 2 pea size pieces in it and the rest what idk what. The avocado roll and the salmon hand roll I think was the only thing worth the money. I have a certain roll at my favorite sushi place Zabb Thai and sushi. The Salmon lovers roll. I got that here, but was incredibly disappointed, the had what seems to be scrap pieces of salmon in the roll. My tongue was just in straight salmon fat. And the good pieces on the outside.

All in all I went because the girlfriend kept telling me she wanted me to try it. Small hole in the wall but that's never an issue. The service was super friendly welcoming us in to take a seat wherever we'd like and all smiles while doing so. We started off with a hot sake which was smooth and went down really nice. We also went ahead and ordered a couple rolls... a dragon roll and the Veronica roll. Both were very nice bites! However, the star of the show was the Katsu Don! Perfectly cooked pork, the rice was soaking up all the flavor from it along with the eggs and onions and it all came together like a huge blanket of flavor. 10/10 would most definitely recommend!

Dessert: Thai donuts with condensed milk and a happy chocolate face :-)

We have been going for many years to this great establishment with no complaints. They are authentic and true to their culture. Unfortunately, last week we ordered take out and the food arrived fresh looking but the taste was not fresh at all. The story does not end there. After reaching out to the restaurant and explaining the situation, the owner himself, Joe, was incredibly apologetic and extremely understanding. They went above and beyond by inviting us back for a complimentary dine-in experience. The second visit was exactly what I always experienced before: the atmosphere was inviting and the service was impeccable. The servers were attentive and Joe himself offered excellent recommendations including his mom's own recipe for the Karaage chicken which out of this world. The true star of the evening was of course, the FOOD! Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavors. Sushi Joe's in Doral commitment to customer satisfaction is truly impressive. Their willingness to turn a negative experience to a positive one speaks volumes about their dedication to quality. We even got a complimentary dessert of fluffy, sweet, delicious Thai donuts. If you are looking for authentic Japanese dining experience with exceptional food and service, Sushi Joe's is THE place.

Been coming to this spot for almost 10 years now. I absolutely love Sushi Joe. The staff is always phenomenal & so welcoming & the rolls are like no others. Definitely try the specialty rolls on the table. The Captain Louis & the Jumping Fernando are to die for

I've been to Sushi Joe many times and they never disappoint! It is absolutely worth the drive to Doral just for the quality and taste of the sushi alone. My friends and I rarely order off of the menu here, instead we have the chef surprise us with a few different kinds of rolls to share. The rolls are a great size. Always leave with a happy belly!!! They actually have a unique beer here as well (although I can't recall the name) that is definitely worth trying, too. Lovely place overall!

The Katsudon is amazing, I highly recommend coming here for dine in or take out anytime !

I have been coming here for many years and this is my favorite restaurant in Doral. The staff is very kind. My favorite rolls are the Captain Louis, Eagle Roll, Birdie Roll and Jumping Fernando. If you like noodles I recommend the Yakisoba with pork. They have amazing lunch specials for a good price. Sashimi brings great options, the quality and price is better than any other local restaurant. The ambience is quiet, calm and comforting which is very different from most places in Doral. Today I tried the Katsudon and it was amazing! A very comforting and filling meal. Great place to dine in or for take out.

Spicy Tuna roll. Small size, but just perfect to pair with a regular size roll to fill you up with delicious flavors!

    Crazy tuna roll

I would definitely come back here! The tuna was fresh, the eel was cooked perfectly, the sushi rice wasn't dry or overcooked, and the flavors were good. We also ordered the shrimp shumai which was stuffed with good chunks of shrimp. Overall, the food was delicious, service was attentive, and the ambiance is similar to what you would expect in Japan where the focus is on the food, not the location.

The starter omakase runs about $68. It was around seven courses plus dessert, and honestly, every dish pulled its weight. Bonus points to the server, who gave clear, thoughtful explanations. Menu-wise, don't expect a parade of rolls they're clearly nudging you toward the omakase experience. But if that's the goal, they're doing it right. All in all, a really enjoyable meal and one I'd happily circle back to, next time to explore more of the menu.

This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center where a Nicklaus building is, which is perfect for when you're in the mood to keep a low profile. It's a small, intimate restaurant with counter top seating and a few tables. From the moment we walked in, the folks chopped it up with us and made jokes, which is great because it broke the ice in a way that felt like you were amongst friends. Excellent service all around. We sat at one of the tables as we intended to do a lot of talking and didn't want to be noisy at the counter. We decided to take the recommendation of the staff and did the omakase express option and a sake sampler pairing with three different kinds. No notes here because everything was great, there were several "MMMM!" moments (wish I remembered what each bite was!) and the first sake we got (pictured) was fantastic. Would definitely buy it to have at home. Big shout out to Allie, who covered our table on her first day, was very cool and definitely helped steer the dinner in the right direction. If you're in the Doral area and in the mood for some quality Japanese, definitely stop by here!

The nigiri: unagi was tasty, hotate didn't really taste like anything, salmon was tasty, hamachi and the amaebi was chewy, tuna was tasty. The skyroll wasn't bad and not spicy. It's wonderful because their entire digital menu has pictures which I appreciate SO much! We ordered the sampler for 2 (sushi pizza and croquettes), the 101 roll and the volcano roll. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes. I'll definitely come back to try other options and probably do a better job of speaking up next time if my order is wrong.

I highly recommend making a reservation, as wait times can get long. Before coming, I did a bit of research and found a link to make a reservation (I couldn't find a direct link on their page, so I had to look it up online). When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess, who asked for our reservation confirmation. Once confirmed, we only waited about five minutes for our table. Our server, Hani, was really nice and attentive throughout the night. Starting with drinks, they offer 2-for-1 specials. Hani recommended the passionfruit margarita with a Tajín rim, which I decided to try, while my friend opted for the coconut margarita. I have to say, I loved my drink It was flavorful, and you could really taste the passionfruit. I also tried the coconut margarita, it was okay, but the coconut flavor wasn't as strong. I might try the coconut mojito next time. My friends agreed that the passionfruit margarita was the best. I also asked for more drink recommendations, and Hani suggested the guanábana (soursop) madness, which includes coconut rum, rum, guanábana purée, and pineapple. For some reason, I expected it to look like a piña colada but it came as a cute drink with a red purée on top that tasted more like strawberry. I wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it was good! It wasn't very strong (maybe it could use a bit more rum), but I'd still order it again. If you like guanábana, I'd say go for it. Lastly, I tried the tamarind margarita with a Tajín rim, also really good. If you're not in the mood for cocktails, they also have $2 glasses of wine and prosecco, which is a great deal. For food, we started with steamed gyoza, fried shumai, and sushi pizza. I have no complaints, everything was delicious We ended up ordering another round of gyoza (this time fried) and shumai, that's how much we liked them. For rolls, we tried the Doral roll, which has shrimp tempura, krab salad, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with salmon and eel sauce. It was sooo good definitely try it! We wanted to try more, but there's only so much we could eat Even though we shared everything, the portions were filling, especially with drinks included. For dessert, we ordered the Oreo roll. We were debating between that and the fried ice cream, which I low key regret I thought the Oreo roll would be a whole deep fried cookies with ice cream on top, but it turned out to be Oreo crumble wrapped around what seemed like frozen cream cheese and strawberry. I wasn't a fan, the texture wasn't creamy, and it was too frozen, so we had to chew through it. If I could revamp it, I'd keep the whole cookie, deep fry it, add ice cream on top, strawberries, and a drizzle of Nutella, now that would be the I definitely regretted not ordering the fried ice cream or even their brownie The ambiance was good, the usual noise level of a busy restaurant. We sat near the front, so it didn't feel too crowded. It's a great spot for friends or a date night. There's parking in front of the restaurant and nearby since it's in a shopping center. Our server consistently checked on us, and other staff members also came by to clear empty plates and glasses, which we appreciated. Would I come back? OF COURSE I have to try more dishes (and drinks) that I didn't get to this time. A table near us ordered the Coquitos Crunch (I'm assuming it was good because it looked amazing), the volcano roll, and the dynamite salad, all on my list for next time! I'll definitely keep this spot as one of my go-to places for happy hour with my girls
