    Smoked Roll

Went here for lunch because I seen their ads on ig and the photos and videos look delicious! I will admit their presentation on everything is very nice. The staff is friendly and the inside looks very modern and clean but not a traditional sushi restaurant. The restaurant is on the smaller end fitting maybe 20 people max. The lunch comes with a roll, soup, wakame seaweed salad, and gyoza or their salmon croquettas. They advertise a $13.99 lunch special and I got the same dish from the stories I've seen but load and behold it was $16.99. Not much different but still you need to stop advertising for your old prices. Considering the rolls alone are $16-20 it is a good deal for their sushi prices. The presentations are very good. Seeing all the different rolls everyone order coming out made we think oh I should've got that. The thing that bugged me was there was a service charge of 18% and I didn't realize because when I paid the server she showed the screen and the first option was 18% so I was thinking yeah I normally leave about 18% so I picked the first option. The screen was for additional tip. I do not like it when places charge you for tip before paying especially if you're dining alone or with just 1 other person. And normally when I see the "additional tip" screen it's normally very small like 3-10% being the first option so it's very obvious. To me this is to be sneaky and I don't like that. The sushi overall okay. Nothing bad to say about the taste it was pretty much what I would expect. except my experience in terms of the bill annoyed me.

    Shrimp tempura is gray

Almost every roll has cream cheese, no option to remove it with online ordering. My shrimp tempura was gray. They give a time take out will be ready, it's never accurate. Either the food will be sitting for 35 minutes or you'll get there at pickup time and they never started it. Staff is very nice, very prompt when dining in. This is my third time with them (between dining in and take out) and I've been disappointed in the food each time. The roll selection is wide but none are excellent.

This place is awesome. Staying at a nearby hotel and decided to walk here. Best meal I've had in weeks! Generous portions! Extra tasty and you simply cannot beat the happy hour specials. $2 drinks!!!!!!

Cute little sushi spot in Doral with a wide variety of Sushis which all looked delicioussssss. My boyfriend and I ended up getting two sushi and they both were fantastic. They filled us up a lot, unlike other plces. The pieces was big. The food was fresh and came out rather quickly for a saturday. The waitress was nice and attentive. My boufriend had a samgria which wasn't too good, it tasted like cranberry juice so i dont suggest that. But other than that, we had a good time and ate good. I would definitely recommend this place. Theres tons of parking and its pretty central to everything im doral. Happy Yelping!

Small restaurant with modern with polynesian fusion esthetics, extremely clean and well kept. Extensive menu. The server was efficient and polite. Attentive without being overbearing. Beer was Lucky Buddah super cool bottle, served very cold(always a plus). Sushi was amazingly fresh. Well prepared and served quickly. Spicy tuna tacos for our starter, 4 pieces. Crispy shell, the amount of tuna was excellent, topped with micro greens. Rolls were Tuna House and Samurai. Very good quantity on both rolls. Again, fresh and tasty. Expertly wrapped. Overall, this is a gem. Will be visiting again.

Great sushi. Fresh fish and veggies. The rice for the hand roll was tasty and portioned nicely for the amount of fish. Pricey but larger than normal portions compared to other sushi restaurants. The service is pleasant and fast. Ambiance- very clean, simple modern, good music.

Our second time here and the experience is always amazing, they really go out of their way to make your experience unforgettable. Our waitress Dayana was kind, knowledgeable and attentive, she gave good recommendations. The portion of the sashimi was small, I feel the cut of the fish could be thicker, but overall fresh and tasty. Their miso soup makes a difference from other Japanese restaurants, the touch of zucchini noodles is a smart delicious idea. Definitely recommend this place.

I decided to check this place out for two reasons one it was next to the hotel but also because it was a combination of sushi rolls with a South American/Caribbean flair. The ceviche was actually quite good, a little on the Tangy side which is how i like it so i was good with it. That combined with the crispy plantains chips was a good mix. One of the rolls i got also had plantains in it and it was good i liked the different flavors. The smoked roll was tasty as well. Unique flavors enough so that i didnt even bother using shoyu and wasabi. I know its not a traditional sushi spot but Ive been to a lot of those. This was a nice change of pace. If im ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back to try the ceviche roll.

Our first time here and we loved it. The dishes portions are generous and savory, we ordered the tuna tacos and I have to say that it it very creative of the chef to place the tacos on top of a small bed of cream cheese as it prevented them from falling to the side which is what happens in other restaurants that serve this dish, the miso soup was also pleasant, the touch of zucchini noodles made it delicious. We also had the fish Ceviche and again, delicious, the seaweed salad, great. Definitely our new favorite place. Kudos to the staff for being so attentive, specially our waitress Amanda, she would come by to ask us how everything was, something I admire from restaurants, the service. Keep up the good job guys.

Came here on a Friday night, pretty early. It's a small place in a shopping center. Seating is limited. Doesn't look suitable for big groups or large gatherings. Nicely decorated. Good service. The serving size was good. However the price seems higher than the setting. It seems more of a fast pace style restaurant and the prices compare to other finer locations in the area. All the rolls we ordered were delicious as was the homemade mint lemonade.

Talk about FRESH SUSHI! Every piece was so fresh and flavorful. Very smal hole in the wall restaurant in Doral. The staff was nice and you can see the chef making your sushi fresh! I would definitely go back here for some more delicious rolls

I dined at Ohana Sushi on Sunday July 3, 2022 at 8:30 pm. First impressions, the dining area was clean and had a modern interior design vibe going on. The menu looked very promising as it featured a variety of instagram-worthy sushi rolls. What stood out to me was that there were some intriguing sushi items that I have not seen anywhere else, so I applaud Ohana Sushi for trying to step out of the norm. However, the style of their sushi can be quite rich for some folks that favor a more lighter, simple style of sushi. The sushi did, in fact, taste fresh and were presented nicely. Service was average. Although friendly, I did notice that other diners received more attentive service than our party and our waters were not adequately refilled enough. Overall, the food was good, service was average. Ohana sushi deserves a high 3 star rating based on my experience.

Kind of not a Sushi bar, as they only do rolls. No Nigiri, except Tuna, and Salmon. That being said, the rolls were really good. It's a nice little place, with really good service. As I am more of a true Sushi aficionado, and not necessarily into "Rolls", I gave 4 stars. Would still recommend coming to this place for families, just trying Sushi for the first time or into a Sushi fusion experience.

We kicked things off with the miso soup, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could've had a bowl (or two) all by itself! let's not forget about the salad! And baby... you cannot eat that salad without drenching it in their ginger dressing. Chef's kiss! For our meals, we ordered the hibachi shrimp and steak with fried rice, and I went with the hibachi chicken with fried rice. One of my favorite parts about hibachi is the experience, and this chef had the entire table laughing from beginning to end. The food was great, but the entertainment made it even better. Because really... who doesn't love dinner and a show? To wash it all down, we ordered an Old Fashioned and a fruity sake cocktail (I wish I could remember the name because it was so good! ). The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, the service was quick, and it wasn't crowded, which was definitely a plus. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall, if you're looking for delicious hibachi, great service, and a fun dining experience while you're in Florida, I'd definitely recommend giving Japan Inn a try! On one of my last bites of the fried rice, something literally poked my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long, thin wooden stick! almost like a toothpick, but not exactly. A wooden stick in my food? That instantly made me uncomfortable. What felt completely intentional due to the previous request, had me fearing for my safety! I had to search hard to find rolls that weren't laid full of cream cheese, which, to me, essentially means "here is a roll with cream cheese to mask all of the icks flavors of the subpar fish that we are actually serving you and do not want you to be aware!" I ordered some nigiri, which tasted old, not fresh and on rice not treated correctly. Need I remind the YELP! Community??? Sushi is actually referring to the treatment of the sushi RICE and NOT the fish or ingredients on the nigiri or roll! So in this sense, Miyako Doral FAILED. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes.
