I was looking for a sushi place nearby and I saw this place and decided to give it a shot. The place was pretty empty and the food was delicious! They also have deals for everyday of the week. The day we went on, they had an offer of a free appetizer if 2 sushi rolls were ordered and I thought that was a great deal! All the rolls were delicious and the tuna appetizer was the best of all! It was very filling! Regarding the service, We had specifically asked for no cream cheese in one of the rolls and it came with cream cheese. But once I told them, they changed the roll and got us a new one without cream cheese so there was no problem there. But after that exchange occurred, our waiter wasn't very friendly anymore and he was on his phone a lot so it was a little hard to get a hold of him despite the place being empty. So my only negative comment is that the service could be more professional. Other than that, it was delicious.

El sobre cargo
Alexander G.

Gracias.

Quick service, did not have to wait, fun playlist, and nice ambiance. This would be great for a date night. The pork gyoza was fantastic. The sushi was good--a bit pricey.

My boyfriend treated us to our FAVORITE sushi spot for Valentine's this year. This place absolutely sets the bar for us when it comes to sushi. We ordered 3 rolls and a sashimi appetizer to try this time. For starters he ordered us a 4 piece yellowtail that just melts in your mouth. With a hint of soy sauce and wasabi, this was a great start. Next up were the sushi rolls. Honestly, we could've just gotten the sushi rolls since the portions are generous. You cannot go wrong with the Tsunami roll. We ALWAYS order this roll because it just always hits. We tried the Kai Roll and the Spider Deluxe Roll and both were delicious! We would order the Kai Roll over the Spider again mainly because of the flavor profiles but over all, both were great! This spot is an absolute cozy gem with great quick service. Please visit here if you ever get the chance!

We went to celebrate my birthday, so of course we went all out and decided to try three of their most ordered rolls. Each roll is massive, we were not expecting them to be so big, but the challenge was accepted. We were in love with each roll, for me my favorite was the Noe Roll. Uff!! Truly delicious! Their tuna tartar is a must have as well .

Kamiko is a small intimate sushi restaurant that has a lot to offer. You can get a fusion of Japanese, Peruvian, and even Venezuelan dishes. I really liked that they offered different kind of rolls from the classics with rice, rice less, soy bean paper and so much more! I will 100% be coming back to try other things on the menu and I am sure I won't be disappointed. Overall I really enjoying eating here and I feel like the price was reasonable alongside with good service. Thank you Kamiko! Tuna Tartar 10/10 I really enjoyed this! Crunchy Crab Delight 10/10 this was delicious! Salmon Nigiri 7/10 pretty good! Tsunami Roll 8/10 tasty and different Marquesa De Nutella 11/10 I will for sure come back for this dessert it was delicious.

The highlights: *It's a Japanese-Peruvian fusion sushi bar, so you already know you're in for some creative dishes/rolls with inventive and delicious combination of flavors *It's local *It's fresh *No matter how many times you visit, the quality of the food is great *Decent wine list (I usually order a glass of Albariño - crisp and smooth flavor that does not compromise the flavors of the sushi) *Cozy space with about 10-12 tables *Very attentive staff * Fast service but you never feel rushed *Casual atmosphere with TV usually playing sports (on mute) *Great for casual date night and small groups; however, they have no problem joining tables together to accommodate your group. My go to menu items: coco shrimp roll, noe roll, steamed pork gyozas and for dessert, which I did not take a photo of (shame on this yelper!), the marquesa - layers of galletas Maria (iykyk) and a delicious cream made with condensed milk and butter.

I loved this place, the food was delicious, we ordered sushi, king Salmon and Kami roll both were amazing. The customer service was awesome, we let them know that we were in a hurry and they took our order and brought out the food super fast. 100% recommended!

Geisha Roll (no bacon)

The food is good but a overpriced. I payed 80$ for 3 rolls with tax and tip included (Tsunami, Geisha and Leila). I ordered for pick up and wasn't even greeted when I arrived at the restaurant. Inside the restaurant there was a group of 8 people eating and no music playing. I could hear their whole conversation. They do not include spicy mayo and eel sauce like other sushi places. It was a big bummer for me because I like to dip all my rolls on some eel sauce. It should be mentioned somewhere or at least be offered when picking up the food. The avocado on some of my rolls was not fresh and was mostly black. I would go back but not anytime soon.

Crunchy Crab Delight CrossFire roll

This is my absolute favorite sushi spot in doral! Wether I go dine in or do take out or Uber eats this place simply always delivers the best high quality sushi in doral! The crunchy crab delight is a must have appetizer! My fav roll is the crossfire roll which contains Krab salad, krab tempura, avocado, scallions, cream cheese, spicy mayo, tobiko and eel sauce. The place is small but cozy and the staff is always making sure the service is immaculate. I recommend this to anyone who is a sushi lover!

My friend took me here and I expected the sushi to be average but WOW I was blown away. Best sushi I have ever had in Miami hands down. Everything was perfect from the presentation to the taste. It's at such a random spot and not busy but the seating is nice. I would highly recommend this spot for a friendly catch up or a date even. The sushi rolls were very filling. I don't recall the sushi names but you can always show the pic. The tacos with sushi were just such a nice burst of flavor also. Highly highly recommend this hidden spot.

I am in love with the Amazonian Roll and Mango Crunch Roll. I have been a customer since 2016 and this restaurant still got the YUM! The place looks exactly the same as years ago. Small hidden gem with excellent service and food. ps. I also recommend the Noe Roll

This place was amazing!!!! I spent $99 and my boyfriend and I ate a sh*t ton of stuff... let me break it down... Tuna guac (amazing) Hamachi jalapeño (to die for) not spicy at all 2 seafood miso soups (huge bowl) you could share Mango crunch (rice less) Geisha roll (fried) it was amazing!!!!! Server was a little on the bland side.. he didn't look to happy... but the food was so good I didn't even care... still left him 20% so I hope that made him happy lol

The starter omakase runs about $68. It was around seven courses plus dessert, and honestly, every dish pulled its weight. Bonus points to the server, who gave clear, thoughtful explanations. Menu-wise, don't expect a parade of rolls they're clearly nudging you toward the omakase experience. But if that's the goal, they're doing it right. All in all, a really enjoyable meal and one I'd happily circle back to, next time to explore more of the menu.

This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center where a Nicklaus building is, which is perfect for when you're in the mood to keep a low profile. It's a small, intimate restaurant with counter top seating and a few tables. From the moment we walked in, the folks chopped it up with us and made jokes, which is great because it broke the ice in a way that felt like you were amongst friends. Excellent service all around. We sat at one of the tables as we intended to do a lot of talking and didn't want to be noisy at the counter. We decided to take the recommendation of the staff and did the omakase express option and a sake sampler pairing with three different kinds. No notes here because everything was great, there were several "MMMM!" moments (wish I remembered what each bite was!) and the first sake we got (pictured) was fantastic. Would definitely buy it to have at home. Big shout out to Allie, who covered our table on her first day, was very cool and definitely helped steer the dinner in the right direction. If you're in the Doral area and in the mood for some quality Japanese, definitely stop by here!

The nigiri: unagi was tasty, hotate didn't really taste like anything, salmon was tasty, hamachi and the amaebi was chewy, tuna was tasty. The skyroll wasn't bad and not spicy. The limited menu matcha 3 leches wasn't bad but I don't taste the macha. It was decently soaked and the fruits were all fresh and nice looking.

It's wonderful because their entire digital menu has pictures which I appreciate SO much! We ordered the sampler for 2 (sushi pizza and croquettes), the 101 roll and the volcano roll. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes. I'll definitely come back to try other options and probably do a better job of speaking up next time if my order is wrong.

I highly recommend making a reservation, as wait times can get long. Before coming, I did a bit of research and found a link to make a reservation (I couldn't find a direct link on their page, so I had to look it up online). When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess, who asked for our reservation confirmation. Once confirmed, we only waited about five minutes for our table. Our server, Hani, was really nice and attentive throughout the night. Starting with drinks, they offer 2-for-1 specials. Hani recommended the passionfruit margarita with a Tajín rim, which I decided to try, while my friend opted for the coconut margarita. I have to say, I loved my drink It was flavorful, and you could really taste the passionfruit. I also tried the coconut margarita, it was okay, but the coconut flavor wasn't as strong. I might try the coconut mojito next time. My friends agreed that the passionfruit margarita was the best. I also asked for more drink recommendations, and Hani suggested the guanábana (soursop) madness, which includes coconut rum, rum, guanábana purée, and pineapple. For some reason, I expected it to look like a piña colada but it came as a cute drink with a red purée on top that tasted more like strawberry. I wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it was good! It wasn't very strong (maybe it could use a bit more rum), but I'd still order it again. If you like guanábana, I'd say go for it. Lastly, I tried the tamarind margarita with a Tajín rim, also really good. If you're not in the mood for cocktails, they also have $2 glasses of wine and prosecco, which is a great deal. For food, we started with steamed gyoza, fried shumai, and sushi pizza. I have no complaints, everything was delicious We ended up ordering another round of gyoza (this time fried) and shumai, that's how much we liked them. For rolls, we tried the Doral roll, which has shrimp tempura, krab salad, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with salmon and eel sauce. It was sooo good definitely try it! We wanted to try more, but there's only so much we could eat Even though we shared everything, the portions were filling, especially with drinks included. For dessert, we ordered the Oreo roll. We were debating between that and the fried ice cream, which I low key regret I thought the Oreo roll would be a whole deep fried cookies with ice cream on top, but it turned out to be Oreo crumble wrapped around what seemed like frozen cream cheese and strawberry. I wasn't a fan, the texture wasn't creamy, and it was too frozen, so we had to chew through it. If I could revamp it, I'd keep the whole cookie, deep fry it, add ice cream on top, strawberries, and a drizzle of Nutella, now that would be the I definitely regretted not ordering the fried ice cream or even their brownie The ambiance was good, the usual noise level of a busy restaurant. We sat near the front, so it didn't feel too crowded. It's a great spot for friends or a date night. There's parking in front of the restaurant and nearby since it's in a shopping center. Our server consistently checked on us, and other staff members also came by to clear empty plates and glasses, which we appreciated. Would I come back? OF COURSE I have to try more dishes (and drinks) that I didn't get to this time. A table near us ordered the Coquitos Crunch (I'm assuming it was good because it looked amazing), the volcano roll, and the dynamite salad, all on my list for next time! I'll definitely keep this spot as one of my go-to places for happy hour with my girls

Sure enough, when it arrived, the rice wasn't crispy at all... just like the regular side I've had before. They took it back, and there I was waiting longer for my food. Then things took a turn. On one of my last bites of the fried rice, something literally poked my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long, thin wooden stick! almost like a toothpick, but not exactly. A wooden stick in my food? That instantly made me uncomfortable. What felt completely intentional due to the previous request, had me fearing for my safety! At that point, I just lost my appetite completely. I didn't even bother saying anything because I honestly didn't feel at ease anymore. I will NOT be returning.
