    Tonkotsu Ramen

Nice and relaxing atmosphere with staff that are very kind and attentive. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and loved it! The broth was magnificent and so were the other ingredients. They also gave quite a bit of noodle. Pricing was average in Miami standards. Would definitely recommend.

Been here several times and it never disappoints! This week has been extra cold in Miami (in the 30s!) so what's perfect for cold nights? RAMEN!! We shared the Black Tonkotsu Shoyu and a Spicy Miso Butter Corn Ramen. Tried ramen for the first time here and I gotta tell you, they were both delicious! Perfect texture, nice and warm and the right amount of flavor. Paired it with hot sake too! Ask for Mana. She is an amazing server! The best! The restaurant takes you to Japan with its decor! Truly a Gables gem!

Absolutely incredible--I don't even know where to start! I came in Friday for lunch with two colleagues, and we were all blown away. The service, the food, and even the prices are unmatched--almost too good to be true. I ordered the Black Tonkatsu, which was marvelous. The egg was perfectly soft and yolky, just how I love it. I also tried the gyoza (good, though nothing special), but the spicy mayo onigiri was remarkable. One bite and I felt transported back to a chilly Friday night in a little alleyway in Japan--pure nostalgia. This food is authentic, and it shows. They even offer shaved ice! Sadly, I didn't have the space (or time) to try it this visit, but there will definitely be a next time, and I'll be saving room. The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant are small, cozy, and authentically Japanese. Service was just as outstanding--Marco was fantastic and made the experience even better. Can't recommend this place enough!

Everything about this place was phenomenal. It was homey, inviting, the prices were amazing and I felt like I was back in Japan when eating the food. Not overpriced like a lot of places in Coral Gables. Ask for Mana when you're there! She's an amazing server and will take care of you!

Stopped for a quick lunch and probably won't come back. I've been trying to find a solid sushi place for some simple rolls, sushi, sashimi and unfortunately this place isn't making it on the list. The seaweed salad was fine. It's pretty solid like the one you buy in bulk so pretty tasty. The spicy tuna roll was okay, the salmon Ikura roll was not and shrimp tempura was alright. The service was fine. Nothing bad. Also side note the water tasted kind of funky? I switched to bottle afterwards.

Great little spot in the Gables for Sushi. My boyfriend and I either take-out or dine in from Anaba about once a week. The fish is always incredibly fresh and such a bang for your buck compared to other sushi restaurants. The chef's are always bringing something special out for you to try and the service is fantastic! I highly recommend the slightly torched salmon roll (not pictured here because we ate it before taking a pic). It's like butter in your mouth!

Anaba is my favorite sushi restaurant in Coral Gables, hands down. Their rolls are always so fresh and absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a decadent roll, I highly recommend the Sugar Daddy Roll (I think it's the best on the menu). However, they also do an amazing job at the basics like their Tuna Roll and Vegetable Roll. Hilariously, one of the things that really blew me away was the Seaweed Salad - it's a super basic dish (and doesn't photograph well...), but it's seriously delicious - I actually ate it without dressing because it didn't need it. Though Anaba isn't a large restaurant, it does have both indoor and outdoor spaces for seating (would recommend the outdoor space, as your clothes will smell like tempura if you sit inside due to your proximity to the kitchen). I've had good service every time I've been, as well. If you're in the Gables (or even if you aren't), I would recommend trying it out.

Rare authentic sushi for Miami. Simple place with the focus on the food. Will try the omakase next time.

No idea how this place gets 4.5 stars, place is unkempt, food is one notch below, 'below mediocre'.

Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that the kitchen pays attention to quality ingredients and careful preparation. The menu had a great variety of options, making it easy for everyone in our group to find something they loved. The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We ordered ahead of time, waited for quite some time. My husband drove all the way there, only to arrive home and realize that half our order was missing. Called them to complain, and they are taking off the missing items from our bill. The food we did receive was mediocre at best, honestly Publix does better than what we received tonight. The spicy tuna roll, one of our always staples, was just rice and tuna, no spicy mayo. Total disappointment. Waste of time, energy and money. They don't do delivery and we're certainly not driving back there, but I feel like in instances like this they should make it up to you. It's not about the money. It's about not having the food that you ordered and were excited to receive.
