We had never been to this place, but our Cousin (the birthday girl) said the food was amazing. She was not kidding. Everything was delicious and the draft beer is cold. The staff is very nice and gracious. The place has a nice vibe to it and is well located on the corner of the very popular coconut Grove area in Miami. The only downside to this restaurant for anyone visiting this area is the parking can be challenging. If you like Thai food, you should definitely make a reservation and try this place out.
Thai cuisine gem in Miami! We ordered tom yum goong ($9 for a small bowl but it was delicious sour/spicy), beef massaman curry (one of the smoothest curries I've ever had), and pad se ew (good but too salty for me). Another thing to note is the complimentary rice to curry ratio is off, so slightly more rice in the bowl would be perfect. Service was friendly but unfortunately slow; we waited ~30 minutes for our food to come out. As for the vibes, we were seated outside right next to the street and half of the table didn't have any separation from the cars passing by. Overall would come back to try other dishes at an indoor seat!
I'd like to initially say that I've been to Thailand. I went to Thailand because I love Thai food! Since I've eaten real Thai food- whenever I go out to eat in the states- I prepare myself to be let down. I visited Atchana since the spot that I won't name closed at 945pm on a Saturday!!! WTHeck!!! Happy to say that I wasn't let down! The owners Thai wife was actually in the kitchen cooking! I was shocked myself! The good was good, the restaurant was nice, the staff was super nice and engaging! I'd definitely come back - I'd even bring friends!!!'
It's hard to give Thai food anything less than five stars haha. Service was fine nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about. Cute place right in coconut grove so it was fun to sit outside and see everything going on. Pad see ew was delissshhhh
Consistently good and delicious Thai food in Coconut Grove. Great lunch specials with me normally ordering Ginger Chicken and white rice. Excellent service with comfortable indoor and outdoor dining.
I was impressed with how fresh and flavorful the pad prik khing dish was. Huge enough to share or have leftovers making it worth the $24 price point. The soup was good for what it was but nothing to rave about. I enjoyed that the tofu was firm and the noodles made it a bit more filling. I did end up adding chili oil to this. No liquor on the menu so I went for a beer. I wish there were more beverage options or a reasonably priced rose glass. The corner location was great for dining outside but the intersection with ppl speeding or taking risky turns since there isn't a stop light was a bit nerve racking. I'd probably sit inside or further down next time.
Hook & Cook Cook Your Catch You Kill It, We Skillet... Whatever you call it where you're from, these folks did an AMAZING job preparing fish I caught on a local charter Fishing Headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale. Small little place, GREAT food!!!!
I went here for dinner the other day and was blown away. The food was incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor. I got the Gai Krapow and it was really well flavored with the coconut curry. The sticky rice was also incredible. Just a note; check your bill, they charged us for something we didn't get. They also charge an automatic 22% service fee for big groups!
A good spot on a fun street in coconut grove. I tried the pad see ew and it was tasty. The night I went the service was pretty slow but they did give us a heads up that it would take a while to order our food which was very nice of them. Even if you have to wait the place is nice and the waiters are friendly and you can't get bored with all the great people watching on the busy street. Overall nice option for decent Thai food. Just don't come here if you're in a rush.
I've come here twice now and it looks like they revamped their menu from when I was first there. So far I've tried the green curry pork, gai krapow, and khao soi. The green curry pork was good. The pork wasn't over cooked and had some fatty pieces. The gai krapow was also flavorful with the basil. Absolutely loved the khao soi since I love noodles and creamy curry. The noodles had that perfectly thick squiggly chewy texture. Just know that if you don't like sweeter and creamier curries, you won't like this as much since this was definitely sweeter than the green curry. This is definitely my favorite dish here. Service was a bit lacking the first time since they messed up our check, but the second time there weren't any issues at all. I took back home leftovers and they even gave me a fresh serving of rice. Seating available indoors and outdoors, and I've been seated immediately both times. Parking can be annoying as it's street parking which can be difficult to find when it's busy. Overall the food was good, great for if you're in the area and craving Thai food.
Atchana has lunch specials which are served Monday - Friday from 12 PM - 3 PM. They also have an outdoor seating section which we enjoyed. I got the Sautéed Eggplant & Tofu which the menu describes as having sautéed eggplant, garlic, tofu, onions, pepper. My dish also came with carrots...lots of them. I wish there had been more eggplant than carrots! But the flavors were all there, and the lunch portion was generous.
- Cute spot on the corner of the street with outdoor seating - The Tom yum soup lacked flavour, even at a mild spice level - The pad see ew ($23) was incredibly salty but a large portion - They have a huge fish tank inside which is pretty cool - What I absolutely hated was feeling rushed during the whole meal. I was trying to catch up with friends and the waitress frequently came to ask if we needed anything else. She cleared the table even when I wanted to keep nibbling on my dish. She also brought the check even though we didn't ask for it. - It felt as though she was rushing us out even though there wasn't a line of customers waiting - Not a great experience at all and the food is average
Casual Thai spot. Made reservations but it didn't seem as if they were needed. The place was half full. A lot of heart went into the design. Also the service by Hector was outstanding. The food was pretty good for a Thai craving, but not the best I've ever had. The vegetable dumplings were OK, salad a little more sour than I'm used to, and the curry very flavorful. Generous portion sizes.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here today. I found it just ok, I've had much better and it was way expensive for what we got and the ambiance. $180 for three , for lunch, with one appetizer. I won't be back... read more

I love to try new Thai places and this one did not disappoint. I love that they had outdoor seating. It's a pretty big patio and has a pretty chill vibe. It didn't hurt that we were there on a beautiful evening, perfect for sitting outside! But the food far out shown all of that. Some of the tastiest Thai food I've had in a while. We always get pad thai, if that's not a stand out then is it really a good Thai food restaurant? I'm happy to report that the pad thai was spot on. One thing that I regret is that the waiter didn't ask for our spice level preference and neither of us thought to ask for medium so both dishes were mild. However, the service we received was amazing!! Very friendly and answered any of our questions. I am really wishing we had a place like this near me in Michigan, with the weather to match!! read more

Went with my wife and daughter were sat immediately even with it being a Friday night. Nice outside area with people watching. Food was very good heat levels are there if you ask for it. Food was delicious and portions were sizable for the cost, will come back. read more
Best Thai food in town! Sometimes eating in the restaurant versus ordering takeout can give you a different experience, but in this case, the quality is the same. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious . It's a casual spot and if you sit outside, it's great to people watch. The service is always great. read more
I can sum up this place in just a few words. Great atmosphere and location, very friendly/helpful staff and lastly generous portions! I ordered the pad see ew (beef) and the beef melted in your mouth and the noodles were delicious! No extra seasoning or sauce was needed. Also ordered the Thai beef jerky and that's a just order appetizer, it comes with a perfectly spiced sauce that will light up your taste buds ! read more
Food was pretty good here overall. They have a small indoor but also outdoor seating. More casual atmosphere in general but the food was great. We got dumplings, curry and pad see ew which were all great! Portions were generous as well. They also had a variety of sakes which were good too. read more
When I lived in Miami, I couldn't get in to Atchana but now I know better and came during lunch and wow. I'm so sorry I missed all the opportunities to dine here when I had the chance. The staff is so nice, like over the top but they are on point with their service. The space is cute, it's in the corner and although it's not big, it's still welcoming and warm, every part of coconut grove is warm. The food, yum! I ordered some apps and a soup and it was delicious. the portions I was to say were generous, I had enough for left overs the next day. I will be back! read more

I am a self proclaimed Thai food aficionado, and I am so happy I was able to find Atchana's. This family owned restaurant is found in the heart of Coconut Grove. I love how cozy this place is and it is a perfect spot to get some comfort food. My friend and I ordered the Drunken noodles and the green curry. The portion sizes are huge, definitely perfect for sharing. Both items were really good. The noodles were very tasty and it paired well with the curry. The curry also comes with rice. I like the spice of the curry - it was a good kick! My only tip coming here is to be prepared. Expect to wait, since this place gets pretty packed during peak hours. If that's the case, I don't recommend parking at the lot across by it - since it is so expensive. So, the best bet is to park right by a close street parking. PS: they are also puppy friendly with a nice menu selection for your furbaby! read more

Thai is one my favorite cuisines, so naturally I had to try Atchana. Their green curry was phenomenal - Thai hot with all my favorite veggies, this is arguably becoming one of my favorites in the Grove. Staff are friendly and have great recommendations. Indoor and outdoor seating available; street parking available nearby. read more
Great homey restaurant to enjoy Thai food in the heart of the Grove. Nice outdoor and indoor seating areas with cool indoor fishtank! Being a big fan of Thai food I was happy to find out that many of the dishes could be made vegan or vegetarian leaving the meat out. Great service and delicious food, would have just preferred a better Thai side salad. read more

Had some free time during lunch and in the area so decided to stop by on a random Wednesday. Located on the corner of Grand Ave and Commodore in Coconut Grove, this Thai restaurant is a nice little spot that I can't believe I hadnt been too before. I was excited based on some reviews and it did not disappoint. They have both inside and outdoor dining. The day was perfect for an outdoor lunch and some people watching. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered lunch portion of Chicken Pad Thai and pleasantly surprised at how big the portion was. A heaping bowl of deliciousness. Probably some of the best Pad Thai I've had in a while and it was steaming hot. Spice level was just right and plenty of chicken. Definitely adding this spot to my top Thai places especially during lunch. They had a great lunch menu and even a menu for your four legged friends. Which I thought was hilarious but also appropriate for the Grove. When in the area I absolutely recommend Atchana! read more

OMG SO GOOD! If you're looking for good Thai food in the coconut grove area THIS is it! The chicken wings are a must - they bring the wings out with three different sauces to choose from all of which are delicious! Every single menu item we tried was a 10 and as you can see we tried several items! The service was a 10 and the restaurant itself is very well located just a few blocks down from coco walk! Still in the heart of coconut grove. They have indoor and outdoor seating to suit your preference. I cannot wait to go back!! read more
5 stars for the food, 3.5/5 stars for the service. This is some of the best Thai food I've had in Miami so far. We got the beef and chicken satay which comes with a little coal grill so you can warm and char the meat. Additionally, we got the pad Thai and pad see ew. Both of these were on par to dishes in California (I'm from California where there's Thai food on every corner). I would definitely go back for special occasions as it is a bit pricy. Also service is slow. read more

Thai food is by far by favorite food, so whenever I get to try a new Thai place I get excited. I had high hopes for this place, since the reviews were so high. I was blown away by the food! Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, you can find parking nearby on lots or street parking. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I came for dinner on a Wednesday. I was immediately seated and I was able to sit outside. My waitress was new but she did so well and was able to guide me since it was my first time. I ordered my favorite dish which is the Khao Sox Gai. The noodles, chicken, and curry work so well together. The curry was flavorful and dense. I enjoyed it so much. The portion was huge, I was able to talk half for lunch the next day. I am a fan, and I will keep coming back. read more
