    Mellanie( I think??)

I flippin love this place dude. Boyfriend took me here once and I've NEVER had better sushi than this. Their food is always fresh and delicious and the chef makes everything in front of you. Service: All the chefs are super amazing and great to talk to, they'll leave you be if your not big into talking, and if you are, they're open to having conversation and being engaging. The server, which I've only seen one who's always there when I come by, is also a great person to have a conversation with and very quick to help you order. Food: I can not STRESS enough how good the food is. I've tried about 4 different rolls here so far, recently eating a roll called Mellanie(??) (I don't remember but picture in the review) as a to go order that was recommended by the server. It is super yummy and fresh. Honestly it's tied with Alex 2 Roll for me. (Which is also delicious) Don't even worry about cleanliness and freshness because both are VERY present in the resteraunt. The chef always cleans his station after serving a roll before continuing a new one. He is constantly washing his hands during his cooking. And the ingredients are always in front of you to see as well if you feel the need to nitpick. Overall: Best sushi I've ever eaten, service is EXCELLENT, cleanliness is an A+. You guys NEED to come here if you want real sushi.

My around the corner sushi place! When I want sushi but don't want to Akashi prices but want something yummy, this is my place! Highly recommend the Alex #2!

Every Friday is my tio baby day, and I love it! The sushi rolls served here are creative, savory, and fresh. I always order the same two rolls: the Tio Baby and the Michelle. I like them made rice-less so you can really taste the sushi. The ginger dressing and ginger salad are key. I also tried the ram roll, and I was pleasantly satisfied by how good it was. Their food speaks for itself, and they consistently go above and beyond for their customers. I think they currently only offer takeout. Nonetheless, you should certainly order out; it's worthwhile.

I've been wanting to check out this spot for a while now and I'm glad I did because the sushi was truly amazing. I got the Delilah roll which comes with salmon, cream cheese, guava and avocado. The roll is just bursting with flavors. Not to mention the ingredients are very fresh. I requested the roll to be made with less rice than usual, and it was perfect. They are not doing indoor dining at the moment. I called and they had my roll ready in 20 minutes. The stuff is also very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be returning to try their other menu items.

This place hasn't disappointed since I've discovered it, thanks to my wife. The service is always great, regardless of how busy they are, the sushi chef keeps conversation going and makes you feel right at home. I've had an opportunity to eat here on more then 1 occasion, about 6 times already, and they're 6/6 on perfect experience so far. What makes them so great ? The sushi is fresh, all of it, from the salmon, tuna, eel, white fish, shrimp. I haven't had a roll that's tasted months, weeks, or days old. There are sushi places that are bigger and also advertised a lot more that don't hold up to the flavor and quality of the sushi they have here. Portions are also a pretty big. Usually I can fill up on 2 rolls and have room for dessert. Not here, 2 rolls for 1 person is a bit much, so 3 rolls is enough for 2 adults. Overall, excellent price for the food amount, and to reiterate the flavor and quality of their sushi is on point. Will keep coming as long as I can.

This place is literally a hole in the wall, as it only seats about 10 people, but don't let it deter you. The sushi here is delicious and made fresh. Staff is efficient and friendly as well. You can also order takeout or delivery on certain food ordering apps. I work close by so I order takeout or dine in often. They make a delicious Alex #2 roll and it is my favorite. It is rolled inside-out with spicy mayo, cream cheese, crab salad, tempura shrimp topped with avocado, crunch and eel sauce and is so delicious! I also like a good spicy tuna roll and they don't disappoint on that either. Service is usually pretty quick and is made to order right in front of you (since the place is tiny lol). Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

I must say I order from The Sushi Bar at least once every 2 weeks because ITS THAT GOOD! It is a tiny sushi bar with limited spaced but the quality of the food is amazing. I usually order for pick up/delivery. My usual order is the Alex #2 roll which is rolled inside-out with spicy mayo, cream cheese, crab salad, tempura shrimp topped with avocado, crunch and eel sauce. The sushi roll cost was $11.95. And I also ordered a vegetable fried rice. I absolutely LOVE their fried rice!! Its probably my favorite fried rice in Miami. The cost for the fried rice was $3.95 Overall, the food is always excellent, fresh, and tasty! Prices are decent! I HIGHLY recommend coming here! You will not be disappointed.

We didn't have reservations but we were welcomed and even received the best seats in the house. Our server was Francisco, who has worked there a long time, was excellent! We chose the Oma Deluxe because we wanted the entire experience. Francisco explained each sushi and what part of the fish we were eating. Each dish was brought out separately. There were about 9 pieces of different cuts of fish. They were delicious! My daughter had Sake and I had Non-alcoholic beer. Both went fine with our meal. Afterwards, we were served dessert. What a great experience! Give it a try when you can. Later, we went upstairs to ASTRA restaurant and bar to further enjoy our evening with beautiful views of Miami. Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. We ordered the sashimi assortment, white fish tasting, seared salmon, bluefin tuna tasting, unagi foie gras, and a few handrolls including blue crab and negi toro. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. We all did the $200 tasting and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the bites. It's 8 courses that range from a nigiri sampler, small bites, and dessert. Most memorable were the clam broth, beef loin and carrots, and the fatty tuna nigiri with caviar on top. The fatty tuna nigiri with caviar was the main reason I wanted the tasting! There is an à la carte menu too, but it was a lot easier just letting the chefs portion out our meal. Would definitely check them out and enjoy a superb evening out!

The hovering over people in this tiny, little whole in the wall restaurant felt overwhelming. I started to lose my patience being that there is so much staff standing around and found myself several times having to pour my own wine bottle. 2nd, I told them it was my son's birthday and nobody went out of their way to make his birthday special! I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again. The chicken skewers had a nice flavor although could have been a little juicier. All of the nigiris were fresh and flavorful, and they even accidentally brought us another table's order of salmon nigiri which they realized and said it was on the house as an anniversary gift!
