Food was great, especially for the price! Service was quick compared to regular paced sushi restaurants and was very good, employees were willing to help. Ambiance was also great as the vibe was very friendly and chill compared to other restaurants who are very overstimulating but overall I had a great experience! read more

Decided to give this place a try since I've heard so much about it. I really like the concept of picking out your roll and then sitting down until your order is called. The restaurant is also pretty big and spacious. There are no servers, just the kitchen staff and employees who help clean the tables, which makes the experience pretty straightforward. There were a few dirty tables which is the downside of not having someone constantly cleaning. As for the rolls, I wish they had more variety. For the price, I also felt they were a bit overpriced. I ordered a combo that came with a side and a drink. For my side, I chose two gyozas, and the rolls themselves were pretty small. All for $14 plus tax. Maybe ordering online and getting the 2 for $16 deal would have been a better value. Overall, it was worth trying, but I think there's room for improvement when it comes to variety and value. read more

I have ordered from El Sushi multiple times, so I'm very familiar with what normally comes with my order. Today, I ordered two fried rice orders. Every time I've ordered the fried rice in the past, it has come with spicy sauce. However, today there was no spicy sauce in the bag. I politely asked the employee if he could give me three spicy sauces. Instead of simply helping me, he told me that my order "doesn't come with spicy sauce" and that it comes with El Sauce. I explained that I order from El Sushi regularly and have always received spicy sauce with my fried rice, while the El Sauce normally comes with the sushi. Rather than addressing my concern professionally, he continued telling me I was incorrect and did so with an attitude. My question is: when did this change? If the policy has changed, that's perfectly fine--just explain that to the customer. There was absolutely no reason for the attitude over a few containers of sauce. I wanted to ask for a supervisor, but I was on my work break and didn't have time to go back and forth. Customer service matters, especially when you're speaking to a repeat customer. After this experience, I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and take my business to Sushi Sake, where I can hopefully receive better customer service. read more

I loved going to this place and was always big on supporting since it's an inexpensive way to get a good meal. However, their service is SO slow, for being an "express" concept, it's VERY slow. It's like waiting at a normal sit down place or even longer. Today I went and placed an order at 5:30 on the dot, at 6pm I got up to ask if my food was ready and they told me they had called for me a few minutes before (crazy because I was sitting in the dining room waiting with no headphones on or anything but sure maybe). Then I go back home to eat since it was a take out order and I had placed a note on my order to not add vegetables in my fried rice (I do this every time and I've never had an issue) but of course there's vegetable in my rice. Whatever I waive it off and start to eat my sushi when I notice they did not give me the edamame that comes with the combo order (it shows in my receipt I paid for it!). Very upsetting- there's a lack of attention to details with orders and room for improvement with time management. I live so close but I think I'll be heading to other sushi spots now. I hope they improve because the place is nice and convenient but times like this it's so much more work than what it's worth. read more

Wanted to Try this place. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. While the sushi tasted okay, their "combo" offer was a rip off. Ended up spending +$30 for 2 small sushis, 2 pieces of gyozas and a small handful of edamame. read more

I decided to stop by and check out all the hype... Menu: Limited. Food: The rolls were fresh and savory. They were not huge pieces as some IG influencers make it out to be but more like a supermarket sushi "on sale" size. *Ordered: - Chicken teriyaki roll: I think this roll is the best one on the menu. Is saucy, fresh and plenty of chicken in every bite. - Dragon roll: Very good but still like the chicken one better. - Pork gyoza: Good but it's more gyoza than pork. The pieces are small so for the added price, just purchase another roll. Price: Reasonably priced from $7-$10, plus an up charge if you want to make it a combo, which I did and added the fried gyoza. Ambiance: Clean and open-space airy Service: Slow (very). I didn't go during peek hours and for being a "fast-food" sushi place, the place looked understaffed and not properly trained to handle both - the customer and the passing of the food. I understand that this location is fairly new but it's part of another location within the area. Overall, I ended up spending $27 for one sushi combo meal and a $10 roll. It does add up once additional items are added, so it's not much a "deal" as the food influencers make it out to be. read more

Upon entering, I notified that every table had a QR code to scan the menu. This restaurant was self served on which you just order on the tablet and you go and pick it up in the front. On the tablet it ask you for a tip on which it was optional. The food took about 10 mins which was not that bad. My family has ate this restaurant before and last time it was a little salty the fried rice. I asked for the fried rice not to be salty and the rice was still a bit salty. We ordered shrimp fried rice. We also ordered the dragon roll which was very good. I didn't like that you have to pay for water. If you want a cup of water you have to buy a bottle of water which is $3. They offer desserts but I didn't try it. They have limited parking in the front but you can go on the top area to park. Overall the experience was ok nothing out of this world. read more

Stopped in on a Friday evening. Was planning on picking up to go. The place has a lot of dining room area but you can tell it's mainly to go orders. I took advantage of the online promo of 2 sushi rolls for $16. They were pretty good. Also, an the order of moshi ice cream was really good. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the Doral area. Most rolls are like $10. read more

Not a bad spot if you're craving sushi but don't want to spend a bunch. It's been fresh every time I've ordered, and it's great to go. Service is fine - you basically order yourself and the only people there are the cooks. I've come here a few times and will keep returning. read more

Decided to come and try this place out after hearing that they have sushi for $10 and under. When we got there however, the place wasn't the same place that we had saw online. The map had said "Soya Sushi Bar (El Sushi)" so we thought it was the same place, however it turns out that El Sushi was on the complete opposite side of the plaza. When we finally arrived at the correct location, we walked in, sat down, scanned the QR code and looked through the menu. After making our decision we went up to the kiosk and placed our order. We ordered: - Dynamite Salad - Alaska Roll - Spicy Tuna Roll - Tiger Roll - Dragon Roll - Dynamite Roll I understand that we had a big order, but 20 minutes for express sushi seems like a long time. When they called us up to get our order, they were also missing a roll. We had also ordered a drink and a Matcha Cheesecake separately and we waited about 20 minutes for that as well. When we went up to ask about the drink they looked confused and had to looked through their system to find our order. - The Dynamite Salad was good and seasoned well. - The Alaska Roll was seasoned good as well, however they didn't put enough salmon on top to cover all the sushi. I had two pieces that were missing the salmon. - The Spicy Tuna Roll was under-seasoned and tuna looked very dull like it was sitting there for a while. - The Tiger Roll was nice and warm, however all the sauce made the sushi a bit soggy and not as crispy as the tempura should've been. - The Dragon Roll was seasoned well but had too much sauce per piece. - The Dynamite Roll was good and well seasoned. - The Matcha Cheesecake was good but didn't have a strong matcha taste. When we finished eating our sushi we tossed out our trash and began taking out the cheesecake. Before we got to finish eating it, an employee came up to us with a card asking us to leave them a review. We said that we would when we finished eating, but they just stood there and kept saying "Review?" Overall, the food was good for the price since you can get 2 rolls for the price of 1 at any other place. The service is slow and they push a lot on making a review. read more

You want sushi with fast service , clean ambiance and delicious food? Come to el sushi. Hands down way better than going to Publix and getting sushi rolls. They have amazing deals. Miso soup was like 3 bucks. My favorite when I'm under the weather . I would definitely recommend if you're in the Doral area to check it out! read more

Came to el sushi for some yummy sushi and I have to say I'd come here again for a quick cheap sushi pickup. It's good for what the price is but it's not all that. We really did love the dragon roll overall and the nigi roll was super super fresh. The edamame was good both salted and truffled. Another appetizer we got was the gyozas but it was watery. The ambiance was very calm but it was definitely packed. The service was pretty quick for all the things we ordered, can't complain about that! read more

Do Not visit that place. Orders on weekends take way longer than an hour. Nobody helps you, restrooms oit of order, total chaos.

This review is for El Sushi 2 at 9901 NW 41st Street I believe they just recently opened this location per their instagram feed. I would love to give this location 4 stars but I averaged my experience on Food Service and Ambiance and it averaged at 3.5 stars but that is not an option. Would be willing to visit again to see if they do anything with the constructive criticism received in their reviews. I must say that their parent restaurant Soya never disappoints so I had high hopes for this express option. The location itself has a great aesthetic.. nice decor, clean and smells great! Could perhaps use some lively music to go with the vibe! The service in the dining area is very friendly, seeing as this is an express type location they can benefit from the use a speaker system to call out orders when they are ready as the cell service in there isn't great or perhaps they they can provide WiFi so that your texts can come in and you don't have to sit there and wait and instead can wait comfortably at your table. Now on to the ordering their board shows a combo option but you don't see that option on the ordering kiosk so it's a bit misleading as I certainly would have ordered the combo if it was going to save me a couple of bucks. We spent total of $51 (without tax and tip) for 3 rolls, 1 gyoza, 1 dynamite salad, a side of ginger a side of wasabi and 2 waters. Didn't seem as cheap as advertised Quality of the rolls was good, I always love the gyoza at the restaurant seems to be a little over steamed at this location perhaps since they close them in a container right away or maybe they are pre steamed. One thing I would recommend they change is that they should include a small amount of wasabi and ginger with the rolls as do all other places and if they are going to charge 50 cents for "extra" ginger or wasabi the container should be filled with ginger not charge 50 cents for the amount that should have been included in the first place. With all of this said I will try them again and hope some of these things are remedied, as Soya is one of my go to Sushi places and I'd like to see them succeed with this express venture. read more

I wanted to try this Sushi place because this place has a great price on sushi and fried rice. Before you walk in you can scan the barcode on the window of the restaurant or you can place your order with the two tablets. The menu tablets are easy to use but I like to order with a person instead. I chose the Dragon roll and it was soo delicious and it was only $10. That was the only cooked roll that I was interested in and it was so yummy. I also chose the shrimp fried rice and it was good but a bit salty. I would recommend to ask for the fried rice without salt. The fried rice was $7 and it comes in a shareable portion. I got confused with what they call shrimp which is known as prawn. As for drinks there isn't many options and I found the bottle water over priced. I recommend for you to bring your own bottled water because they don't have free water available. I found the restaurant clean and pretty inside. The parking is free and it is near the restaurant. read more

Horrible experience! I get an hour lunch and that was still not enough time for a restaurant that claims to be "express". There is absolutely no customer service. Nobody greets you when you enter and orders are made through a machine. I ordered a mixed fried rice, gyoza, and miso soup. The fried rice was stale and the miso soup tasted like dirty sink water. You'd think that for something that tasted like it had been sitting out for an extended period of time that I would at least get my food quickly...wrong! I waited a good 45 minutes to get my food! I asked a lady in glasses what the wait time for my food was going to be as I had to get back to work and she seemed bothered and didn't care to respond. I had to ask another employee. Truly the worst! I will definitely NOT be returning. read more

The ambiance of the place was very nice. The service itself was pretty good as well. The food honestly caught me by surprise, wasn't expecting much for some cheap sushi but man was it good. The rolls were very good and even better than some restauarants. The fried rice was good but wasn't worth the money for the portion. You can ask for as much spicy mayo and eel sauce as you want which is a huge plus! Highly recommend. read more

I am reviewing El Sushi Express at location 9901 NW. 41st St. I was not able to find this address on yelp. I am extremely disappointed in this place! First of all, my takeout order was missing an item. I was not about to go back to claim it. This tells me they have poor quality control. Second, I addressed them in English and they would not reply in English. They would only speak Spanish. I find that extremely rude and poor customer service Third, the fried rice was very salty and greasy, and did not have a good flavor. The vegetable fried rice barely had any vegetables. Fourth, they played loud annoying music. It's a good thing I decided not to eat in. I will not return to this place! read more

Amazingggg they work super fast! Considerably the cheapest best sushi which is a relief in today's economy!

Inside was clean, loved that you could order from the screen but it seemed to be only two girls working. One making the rolls and the other taking the orders and preparing the bags. Was a small wait, with a reasonable amount of people before us and yet quicker than ordering anywhere else. The sushi did not wow me but it was still snack worthy. With the speed the girl was trying to keep up with at being the only one making the rolls, there are bound to be mistakes. The rolls I had were loosely wound and one slice was even missing a piece of crab (as you can see in the picture) lol. But for the prices, I am gonna go back to try the ramen! read more

El sushi is good if you're going in with the expectation of it being a fast casual restaurant. The rolls were decent but nothing special. The eel sauce was super sweet almost not enjoyable. The spicy mayo was good. I had also gotten the butter soy edamame which was way too salty. The service was pretty slow but it was really crowded so I didn't mind. The decor was nice and bathrooms were clean. The music was a bit too loud to have a conversation. Overall an okay experience. read more

Great sushi for the price u pay good service, great spot for a night snacks, def try the fried ones

I ordered my food at 9:37 and didn't leave with my food until 10:30. I was under the impression this was a "fast casual" spot, so I wanted to try it. I showed up hungry, by the time I got my food I was starving. I grew impatient so I left the table I was waiting at to stand by the front counter hoping to see my order ready. I saw my sushi rolls sitting there for so long before they completed bagging our food and called our names. I got to the car and opened my spicy tuna roll to devour it because after such a long wait I was very hungry. IT WAS WARM. I'm sorry but that's the worst feeling in your mouth. I have never been served raw sushi WARM. Like if it's a cooked roll that would be a different story. To say the least, terrible first impression. read more

Well, first, I really wanted to try this place since I love Soya, but after reading all the reviews, I was a bit scared to give it a shot. However, I finally did, and let me tell you ALL about it. I ordered takeout on a Saturday. The service was good--not the greatest--but everything was quick and ready on time for pickup. When it comes to the sushi, it was good! We ordered the Tiger Roll, Edu Tempura Roll, Dynamite Roll, Dragon Roll, and one more that I can't remember the name of. They offer the option to upgrade your roll to a combo with a drink and appetizer for $4. We upgraded two rolls so we could try the edamame and gyozas, and those were tasty too. The rolls were good, with generous portions considering the price--better than Publix sushi and cheaper. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? No, absolutely not. It doesn't compare to Soya at all, but the concept of this place is "fast food sushi," so it's definitely a good option if you're looking to save some money. read more

I had take out lunch recently at El Sushi. They offer vegetarian options. I ordered the Veggie Noodles and Vegetable Gyozas, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The service was also commendable; the staff was attentive and friendly. You order from the kiosk. I would recommend ordering online before you go due to wait time. read more
