Everything came out really fast and was delicious, and the crispy rice ended up being my favorite part... I love a little crunch with anything I eat. For dessert, we got the cookie with ice cream and the crème brûlée, which were the perfect way to end the meal. I also loved that even after multiple courses, everything felt light and I didn't leave feeling overly stuffed Camilo, was super attentive and helpful all night. I started with the Shrimp Aguachile with Tomatillo Sauce, which was absolutely delicious so fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the meal. For my main course, I went with the Omakase Combo and paired it with the sake flight. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. And then came dessert...the warm Liger cookie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream really took it home for me! Beyond the food, the ambiance is aesthetically beautiful and has such a great vibe. As someone who loves sushi, this one was just right, but not Omakase special or super out of this world. What made it good was it has fresh fish, great quality, but something was lacking... Still not bad for options in the area from what I was able to find while in town. Service is decent, the problem here is that it is a nice trendy spot, but I am trying to find out between it being high end or mid tier. Obsessed. Cannot wait to go again. It's a small and intimate space. The spicy hamachi tostada and the hamachi sashimi plate were my favorites (but I'm biased). We had the crispy rice tuna and salmon. The flavor was great. I didn't try the red miso soup but it received positive feedback. For the main dish we both chose the belly combo. One was combined with the snow crab California rainbow roll and the other hamachi roll. The rainbow roll was the better choice. I was craving a tuna tostada and this popped up. I'm so glad I decided to order and try this place. It's a bit out of the way but I do believe the freshness and the quality make it worth it. I'm usually not willing to do tasting menus because of the lack of variety for the price and I usually also leave hungry, but not with this one. The pricing is great and the portions are fat! I got the red miso crab soup, yellowfin tuna tataki & chirashi bowl with everything. If I had ordered that off the normal menu it would have been $57 vs the $49. Not a single thing i had here was anything but exceptional. The quality of fish they are serving is unmatched. Honestly, some of the freshest sushi ive had in miami. The rolls are very simple and i enjoyed that so much because you know they're not trying to cover up the taste of sub par food with sauces and deep fried oils. I've heard great things about Belly Fish back when it was take out only, but I live too far away to be ordering take out from there. The first time we went, we were disappointed that none of the dessert options was available - due to a busy weekend. Seriously? It was a Wednesday. But the waiter offered us cookies, or another handroll instead, an offer we gladly took up, as there were so many things we wanted to try on the menu. For our second visit, the menu indicates that we can sub a dessert for handroll or miso soup. A great option for people who don't have a sweet tooth. Their regular prices are pretty reasonable for the quality, so it's a place I can regularly come for my sushi fix. My only complain is that street parking is not easy to find. You can park at Milan's garage though. The first few levels are for the supermarket only but a few levels up you can pay and park, $5 for the whole day. read more

To me, Belly Fish is an elevated fast casual sushi spot. They offer many varieties of fish, and even have ikura (salmon roe) based plates for roe lovers. The service is quick and easy and everything is nicely plated into these compartmentalized boxes. I love that they offer more than soy sauce. They have chipotle ponzu and yuzu ponzu (my favorite). I've never had an issue with the fish, it seems to be fresh, but the cuts are generally slightly smaller than other restaurants. There is limited parking. You either have to park on the street or in a residential parking garage. Was feeling FOMO over this place so I made my way to coral gables with my bf to give it a try. I attached a picture of our receipt with everything we ordered. For the price... the sushi was not it. Everything was quarter sized. Flavor was nonexistent. All 3 rolls we ordered tasted the same, mind you one of them was wagyu steak - literally tasted like a crab roll. Their chipotle ponzu sauce tasted like nickels (best way to describe it tbh). I attached a picture with 2 little pieces of sushi - one of them is the Canadian snow crab roll ($16) , the other one is the Spicy Canadian snow crab roll ($14). Truth be told, I am obsessed with Belly Fish. They recently opened a brick and mortar location in the Gables near the new Milam on US one and it is fabulous. I'm always looking for a new spot to grab sushi and Belly Fish has answered all my prayers, including my new favorite place to get hand rolls. What I loved about Belly Fish when I ordered from Uber Eats was how fresh the fish was and the variety of affordable combos they had to offer. What I love about Belly Fish IRL - the menu seems to be a bit bigger, you can enjoy a variety of amazing eats, and the quality is still there. I highly recommend the hand rolls. They come served with removable plastic wrap to preserve the freshness of the seaweed. Have you ever had a handroll where the seaweed was a bit chewy? That's because if you don't eat them right away, the seaweed can lose its freshness. Not at Belly Fish tho, they figured the art of freshness out perfectly! I love that they have so many combos to choose from - from hand roll samplers, to sushi combos its the perfect menu for the indecisive eater that wants to try it all (aka me). The Nigri is also delicious. One of the most unique things they offer are tostadas. This is made with the same fresh fish that they use for the sushi, but gives it a little bit of Latin flare. You must try the snow crab tostada - it is one of my favorites along with the hamachi. They also offer some refreshing lemonades. My favorite has been the raspberry. I have been to this location three times in the last two weeks to give you an idea of how obsessed I am. Service is friendly and they are always down to help with ordering ideas. This spot is also amazing for a group - since they have an ordering system from the phone where you can start group orders with ease. PSA parking can be a bit tricky. There is street parking, including curbside pickup if you're doing takeout, but regular street parking is limited. Sadly, that's harmed by an automatic 18% gratuity that isn't disclosed on the menu and wasn't disclosed at the time of payment (they use a handheld credit terminal do you don't get a chance to fully review the bill before being handed the device). This lack of disclosure is deeply dishonest on the part of the restaurant owner. I can't recommend anyone go here, and, if you do, tip 0% as an 18% gratuity is mandatory and already included.
