This restaurant is highly rated that close to destinations that we visited in Miami. We're there to meet some friend and enjoy the dinner. So we try this seafood restaurant. The first dish is the chili fried chitterlings. This dish I think the chitterlings is just average for the technique and flavor. The second dish is the four season green bean. This one is a better dish. The third dish is Hong Kong style lobster. Very expensive dish. But it is not really Hong Kong style of cooking. It is more like a black bean in sweet sauce. I think is just another average dish. The fourth dish is the salt and pepper soft shell crab. It is the good dish to have. The last dish is double cooked pork belly. This is the best dish. The meal started off promising: the egg drop soup was delicious, and the hot tea was flavorful. My husband enjoyed his shrimp in lobster sauce and he is a picky eater.Unfortunately, my own dish was a letdown and did not look like nothing from the Yelp photo. I ordered the sweet and sour pork combo with an egg roll and fried rice. The pork appeared store-bought, wrapped in thick dough that was dry and hard. The sauce was served separately and included just three small pieces of pineapple, with no red or green peppers as typically expected. The egg roll was dry and lacked flavor, and the fried rice was similarly unappetizing. Perhaps I simply chose the wrong dish, so I may give this place another try with a different order. read more

Chang's is located near FIU in a very beautiful plaza. The Chinese food here is of super high quality and the portions are huge. The food is also inexpensive. We had a group of 10, and we paid 20$ a person for all the dishes below. This is a great place to eat family style and lets you try new dishes. But is it me?...or everything we ordered came with shrimp. Haha We ordered dishes like: -tofu (super crunchy, surprisingly good) -salt pepper wings (chopped up and so crispy and easy to eat -combination lo mien (big shrimps made the dish scrumptious) -2x changs super fried rice ( which had a lot of protein but wasn't good at the time of the restaurant. But when we got home and warmed it up it was good) -eggplant - never ate an eggplant dish before but this was good -salt pepper seafood - had scallops, squid , and shrimp -crab wontons- I ate like 3 of these, super addicting -walnut shrimps - good dish but ate more of the broccoli from it since we had so much shrimp lol Note: the menu items could be named something else on the menu , but those are my description. Decided to order here for lunch today. I got the the honey garlic chicken with special fried rice ($3 up charge for the special fried rice). Upon entry to Chang's I noticed it smelled nice and looked very clean. I went ahead to the front counter and picked up my order. When I got home I couldn't help but be a little disappointed because there was only 8 pieces of chicken. For $15 I was expecting a little more quantity to the meal. The fried rice was very tasty and fresh. Only one packet of duck sauce and soy sauce was given which is fitting due to the amount of food they give you. My husband and I were visiting Miami and decided to give Chang's a try before we headed to MIA, as I was craving Chinese food. So glad we did! From the service to the food, everything was impeccable. We live in SF area and there are tons of good Chinese restaurants but I have to say Chang's is just as good if not better. When we walked into the restaurant, two lovely ladies were hand picking the water spinach and pea tendrils, getting rid of the mature ends and not-so-perfect leaves. We were very impressed and already knew this must be a clean & reliable restaurant. We ordered: salt & pepper tofu, half roasted duck, black pepper beef cubes, garlic stir fry water spinach, garlic stir fry pea tendrils. Other than the beef cubes, of which we were not big fans, all other dishes were super fresh and yummy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Between the two of us, we finished everything else except the beef cubes. We left with full and happy tummies. We will definitely come back no matter how long the drive, when we next visit Miami. Stopped here for a light dinner after a lecture at FIU. It's just across the street. We chose a minced beef cream soup. The waitress explained that the "cream" was from cornstarch, not dairy. Hot and sour soup was tasty and not too spicy. I ordered the szechuan chicken which should be spicy but it wasn't. I guess it is more American spicy than true szechuan. I have come to Chang's restaurant for years here in Miami and on the West Coast and the food was always delightful. I called the morning that we were to have a celebration for my grandson's birthday. I called For a pick up at at 4:30 it wasn't ready 10 minutes later. It wasn't ready and finally at 5 o'clock. Tlhe young man brought it out and actually helped me put it in the car. There were plenty of people in the kitchen. I could hear them, but obviously something had gone wrong and I sort of believe that when I arrived there at 4:30 they hadn't even begun. Our dinner was cold. The lo mein didn't seem quite right. whatever could have happened it was a rather large order, but they certainly had most of the late afternoon to put it together not that it would have needed that much time. read more

The honey chicken here is the best I've ever had. They mix the honey into the chicken as they cook it, as opposed to sending the honey on the side. It is superb. I have be er been to the actual restaurant, always order take out. My most recent delivery included a special fried rice with no shrimp due to a shrimp allergy. When it arrived, it had shrimp. Food here used to be great, but it's gone downhill. Honey Chicken barely had any honey. Pepper Steak was mostly onions and peppers; there were only a few pieces of steak and the flavor was off. The entrance boasts relics of what I envision the Ottoman Empire to have resembled. With sporadic Thai options sprinkled on their menu, they've proven to be quite versatile. They've got a little bit of something for everyone. Located in a non-descriptive shopping center, you wouldn't guess them to be much more than just a regime Chinese spot until you enter the restaurant. The service is top notch and with a menu like that; they know how to keep their customers coming back for more delicious goodness. The special fried rice is loaded with pork, ham, seafood, and veggies. All of their dishes are generously portioned so sharing is easy. Keep an eye out for their lunch specials because you really can't beat the price on them. When I'm doubt, go for the honey garlic chicken! read more

I love this restaurant and am happy to report that their move into their new location only just down the road has not affected the quality of their food! My boyfriend and I love this restaurant and frequent it often. We only order off the authentic Chinese portion of their menu and always try a new dish each time we're there. They also have a list of specials usually listed in Chinese that you should definitely ask your server about because there are some gem entrees on it! Our first time back at Chang's and we decided to get our usual favorites, impossible not to order since we love these dishes so much! The Salt & Pepper Pork $13.50 and the Fried "Hor Fun" with Beef $11.99 are our go-to's. Everytime we come we MUST order a salt and pepper dish since we both agree it's the best in town. I've also tried their Salt & Pepper Cuttlefish which is exceptional so definitely order any Salt & Pepper dish with your preference of protein! The Fried "Hor Fun" with Beef is another must since I enjoy larger wide noodles, this dish has a rich smoky/savory flavor. I haven't tried any of their other noodle dishes, but would bet they are just as delicious! The new dish we decided to try was their Braised Chicken with Chines Wine in Hot Pot. This dish was not what we thought would be a wet/soup hot pot but was instead served in a sizzling (literal) hot pot. We both were very happy with the dish which ended up being more similar to a chicken stir fry with fresh basil and large chunks of cut red/green pepper. Being Thai, the flavors were reminiscent of Pad Krapow Gai (spicy thai basil chicken) which was fantastic! The portions here are sizeable for the price and we always over order which makes for great leftovers the next day. Go to family restaurant that my Chinese mom approves! This restaurant is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. The food is delicious. My family comes here all the time for a great family meal! As Chinese, we are superstitious so we always have to order at least 8 dishes (lucky number in Chinese) so there is always plenty of food to share with the family, friends, or colleagues- friendly for groups! One of my favorite dish is the clams with black bean sauce. The sauce is so good to mix in with the white rice! If you prefer your Chinese food to be a party in your mouth, then order from Chang's! I went for the first time this week with a friend who swears by the place and was not disappointed. For starters: they have real egg rolls! You know, the nice ones with pork and shrimp, not the cheap ones with nothing but cabbage. They have a Cantonese menu that is totally worth exploring, and my friend is in love with the Salt and Pepper Squid, so we got it, with extra hot chili peppers. The squid is perfectly fried with a golden and flakey crust, topped with seasoned salt and a ton of hot peppers. We requested it extra hot, but you don't need the extra spice to enjoy the dish. As a companion, we ordered the special fried rice which was extremely tasty and not greasy. The extra peppers mix nicely into the fried rice. We also got the pork ribs, which were sweet, tender and tasty. Service is nicely attentive and now, they've got parking (which I hear they didn't before), which is why I saw they're expanding the dining area soon.
