Went on a weekend at 3 so still had some time to get food from the carts that were going around. We got most things so we can try everything. My favorite were the shrimp dumplings I think. The piggy's with the red bean paste were good but I've had better. Honey chicken was good. Mongolian beef delicious. General sao chicken also yummy. Love the barbecue chicken. Didn't love the fried rice or the meat inside the buns from the carts. Overall it was a fun experience.

Quick and delicious. The food is always fresh and full of flavors. Service is always great with warm and welcoming servers.

Tuesday lunch. We got there early just about when they opened. We were 1 of 2 customers. Right away the dim sum cart got rolling. Even before our waters arriv ed. We were craving lo mein but it took forever to get one of the many workers (outnumbering customers 2 to 1), to actually come to our table. It actually got funny. We waving our arms to get attention. All we wanted was to get some lo mein and tea. But rolling dim sum carts kept on rolling and those servers clueless. Ugh. So frustrating. 3 stars because the lo mein we finally got was good but very small and the 4 dim sums were ok. Honestly, the service was pretty bad as compared to my last visit. I'm not sure I'll go back.

Central as can be in the shopping center across from tropical park you'll find tropical Chinese. Probably the most underrated place to get dim sum in Miami. Once you walk in you get transported to China with their Asian inspired decor. Once seated you'll get a paper to count what you get and then you'll see the staff all pushing carts full of dumplings, bao buns and eggrolls which they stop and drop off almost as fast as you sit down. They also offer a full bar service and a menu of rice dishes, fried noodles, and amazing Chinese dishes. With so many options you'll have no choice to go back to try more. From big family dinners to a quick in & out lunch you can't go wrong with Tropical Chinese.

The most authentic Chinese restaurant you will ever go to! We came here for dim sum on Sunday, which I had no idea was even a thing! Lol as soon as you walk in you see the carts full of dim sum going around the restaurant. My friend was celebrating her birthday that day, and it was a little chaotic because of the amount of people she had invited, but The restaurant handled it well! Every type of dim sum you can imagine was being served during brunch and other options as well that weren't dim sum! We ate so much and the food was so good, I didn't even remember to take pictures. It is beautifully decorated and it's a pretty big restaurant. This was worth the drive for me! I will definitely come back again for brunch!

This place truly is a not so hidden gem in a random strip mall, because if you grew up in Miami like I did, Tropical Chinese, is very well-known for Chinese food that sparkles. From the moment you walk in the decor makes you forget that you're in Westchester. It's cute and modern with the colorful blossom lanterns, and the fun modern wallpaper. This could easily be a fun casual date spot or a great place to have a meal with the whole family. And being a Monday night the restaurant was pretty busy. We ordered the shrimp wonton soup to start and share. It was perfectly delicious in its simplicity. Next we had the special fried rice and the beef lo-mein. Both delivered.

Went with an open mind to try dim sum. Which we had no idea what was happening and were never asked if it was our first time. We even asked a waitress to explain how it works, she turned around and was never to be seen again. Eventually we figured it out. Carts come, you say yay or nay to taking what is on the carts (which quickly adds up), it's tallied on the sheet and then you feast. A lot of sushi items and even though we asked for dumplings, that cart never came around. You can also order from the regular menu. Inside is very nice. Authentic I imagine, but not a spot I will visit regularly.

Fun and awesome dim sum experience in Miami. Met our kids there for a nice lunch on a Sunday. The carts keep coming around with all sorts of yummy choices. Part of the good and bad is we had no idea what half the things were. We ended up having shrimp shumai, pork buns, shrimp taro pancakes, dumplings, rice, bok Choi and egg rolls. The other unknown is we had no idea how much each thing was and we kept saying yes to a lot of the stuff. Really enjoyed overall and would go back.

Excellent Chinese restaurant that came highly recommended by a number of friends. Choice of dim sum or ordering off the menu. I went with the General Tsao Chicken and fried rice with pork--both dishes were excellent, good sized portions and very tasty. Nice ambiance and good service. Will definitely be returning here again,

Came to tropical Chinese for an early Saturday dinner and was seated right away. It was pretty crowded for an early dinner. Our main server was kind of short with us. He seemed to be very polite with other tables but for some reason wasn't very kind or attentive to us. We flagged him down with a question about the duck and he answered very annoyed. For starters we ordered the scallion pancakes, shrimp roll, and pork buns. Everything came out super hot so we knew it was just made. Really liked the sauce the shrimp rolls came with. For our entrees we ordered the general tso's chicken, fried rice and the roasted duck. The chicken was really good. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. The fried rice had a lot of egg, which I always appreciate.

Are there any dumplings that are purely vegetarian (no surprise shrimp or meat included on the inside)? I saw the chive cakes, spinach dumplings and juicy veggie buns on the menu but they don't describe the fillings.

I had tried the leek dumplings, and they don't have any meat included, I'm not sure about the chives or spinach ones. However, their tomato dumplings have meat included.

Is dim sum here all day or it Stops at a certain time?

Dim sum is served until 2:00 or 3:00pm, only.

Has anyone tried their duck, if so how is it? Thank guys.

The highlight for me was definitely the wagyu slider--hands down the best slider we've ever had. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers or sliders, but this one completely changed my mind. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The wagyu tataki was also excellent, tender and well-balanced in flavor. The sashimi and seafood were incredibly fresh, which is always a must for us, and Novikov did not disappoint. The dim sum selection was outstanding--each dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. And the desserts? Easily some of the best we've had compared to other premium buffets--beautifully presented and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the service. It was attentive, warm, and made us feel genuinely special throughout the brunch. As a lovely birthday surprise, my wife received a hat as a gift and got to choose her favorite--she picked the red one, which made the brunch even more memorable.

On top of the poor service, the brunch menu has become extremely limited. They no longer offer the dim sum platters as pictured in the advertisement and many of our favorite dishes including the venison and pumpkin puffs are no longer on the menu. We loved bringing our parents here for dim sum and to celebrate special occasions, but after today, this will definitely be our last visit.
