    Ginger chicken

The other day we were in downtown and were in the mood for Chinese. We kind of found this spot just by pulling up Yelp and taking a chance and I'm really glad we did. It's kind of a hidden spot, next to Julia and Henry's, you walk down a hallway and all of a sudden you're at Kitsune House. So it has that little hidden hole in the wall feel which is awesome. The decor is so fun too with anime characters hanging from the ceiling, it almost feels like you left Miami. We decided to start with some spring rolls which were great, hot and crispy and had a great dipping sauce. For my entree I got the sesame ginger chicken with rice and it was exactly what I wanted. The chicken was so crispy on the outside and the sauce was sweet and glossy but also savory. The portion was good and it came with sautéed onions and bell peppers. The price was also reasonable (which is such a breath of fresh air in Miami because it seems that everything has just gotten way too expensive these days). I'll definitely be coming back. Also whoever took our order was so nice and actually gave us the recommendation on what to order. They also brought out the food to where we were sitting and made sure we were taken care of. 10/10 all around.

I found this place via Yelp! Everyone called it a hidden gem. It was only a 3 minute walk from my hotel located inside a shopping center. The atmosphere was nice and loved the decorations which reminded me of some of my favorite childhood characters! I got the lunch special which was the chicken and peppers and a choice of soup. It was hot so I wasn't in the mood for soup which was a tad salty to me but the chicken and peppers were sooo yummy! Definitely cooked fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked! If I was in Miami another day I would've went back again to try some dishes!

Good fast casual spot well-hidden downtown. It's sort of burrowed back off-street inside this building so easy to miss, but it's a good option for a relatively good and affordable eat. Mostly noodles and rice dishes. The noodles are the much better value. The rice dish was heavy on rice and flight on filling. Both dishes had good flavor but I found the udon particularly enjoyable. It's not cheap cheap but it's not expensive. It was less than $30 for two dishes which was plenty for two people. Good place to fill up

After enjoying cocktails and before a nightcap at their neighbor Right Hand, I stopped at Kitsune House on the suggestion of a fellow celebrant. Their colorful facade with an anime vibe is fun to look at, with the posters and figures. They also have a vintage arcade machine. While there are a few tables to dine in, Kitsune House works perfect for take out as well. I ordered a yummy bowl of General Tsao's chicken with add-on fried rice (the standard price is for white rice) while sipping my drink. The portion size hit the spot; the rice was nicely sticky, there was a good spread of carrots and peas. My chicken itself had a delicious glaze of sweet spice. The dish was also made fresh to order while I waited. I saw they also had a few desserts - including a mango mousse - that I will come back to try!

Keeping it short and sweet -- my gals and I kept stopping here out of pure convenience as our book club meet was right next door in downtown and it turned out to be an absolute clutch find. The lo mein, pad Thai, and honey garlic dishes did not miss. It's a true hole-in-the-wall, but worth it as it's tucked right next to Julia & Henry. Super friendly, helpful staff who even remembered my name upon my return for that next day lunch bowl of Pad Thai (which is a plus...let's be honest though, my name IS pretty memorable ). Highly recommend.

Ugh I used to love this place but they are SO rude to customers who do carry out themselves here. Today I waited 36 minutes for a take out order and watched THREE TABLES of dine in come in after me and receive their food first. This is not the first time this has happened here- Very slow dining experience- especially for take out!

A hidden gem that you need to try! I arrived late in the evening in the city of Miami, I was hungry and ready for dinner. Unfortunately, most places were closed or closing. After a quick internet search I found Kitsune House. It is open until 23:30. The food was delicious and made on the spot. It was fresh and full of flavor. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table when is ready. Friendly staff. The ambience is very cool and energetic. Give it a try and enjoy every bite.

We discovered Kitsune on the way to the bathroom from Right Hand and we had to stop to grab a bite. Everything is fresh made to order. The seating area is super trendy Asian street food with anime comic adorned walls and stuffies. Very cute. The food was delicious. I recommend the General Tso chicken and the spring rolls. The chicken pad Thai was fantastic too. Great little date spot and then you go next door and grab a cocktail at Right hand. Boom!

PAD THAI & Sweet & Sour Chicken

I ordered the Pad Thai and sweet and sour chicken. Truly was BOMB!! Taste very authentic and food came out hot and fresh! Service was great and would def come again. Cute little hidden vibe. Not cheap, but not too pricey.. 36$ for 2 bowls but worth it in my opinion!

I've been going to Kitsune Sushi & Ramen in Downtown Miami for work lunches, and it's easily become one of my regular spots. The atmosphere is awesome. The walls are covered in anime art, which honestly makes it feel like I'm hanging out in my own room. It gives the place a really fun and relaxed vibe that makes lunch there feel a little more special than your typical work break. The food is consistently delicious, whether you're going for sushi, ramen, or other Japanese dishes. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared, and the drinks are great too. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I come here almost every week for lunch, and it never disappoints. If you enjoy good Japanese food and a cool anime inspired atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Let me start off by saying the food was incredible--definitely worth checking out. I usually pass them and never thought to check them out, except for this moment of curiosity. They say curiosity killed the cat, but in this case, it brought the cat back to life! Every single dish was delicious. I've never been the kind of person to enjoy egg drop soup, but this one didn't have a slimy texture; it was more like a rich and delectable broth, especially with how cold it is outside. The fried rice dishes were definitely top-tier--I could not get enough of them--and the General Tso steak was great. The service is quite simple: you order, they make the food, and you sit down to enjoy the awesome layout. It's very anime-oriented with pictures on the wall, which is super dope, especially if you're into anime. They also have these mini arcade game machines to pass the time. I honestly enjoyed everything about it. I definitely think this is a spot to check out; it's a literal 'hole in the wall' since you have to walk through these doors and straight down, and you wouldn't expect it to be there. The music is great, too--just a very laid-back, low-key spot.

    Andrew B.

Really enjoyed our dinner here after a Christmas Village event down the street, everyone was fast and friendly, the food was fresh and honestly this is one of the cooler locations I've seen as far as ambiance. Lots of art from manga spread around the walls, retro games, and action figures really bring it all together for a memorable dinner (in a place that's deep inside some random building, thank goodness for the signage outside).

Dan Dan noodles had so much flavor, chili beef dumplings were thick and juicy, and the pork and shrimp dumplings were cooked perfectly. However when my fiance asked for a check all we got was one of the handheld devices with the total. I thought it was strange when the server said tipping was optional after the tap, and the options were 1%, 3%, and 5%. Since the food and service were great, I wanted to tip 15%, so I changed it to a custom value and did my own math. However when I got my printed receipt, there was a 20% service fee, plus my custom tip of 15%. Being from LA, when restaurants have the mandatory service fee, they usually tell you at the host stand or after you just sat down. I felt like this place was shady although it is in their fine print on their menu. What the server could have done is said "service fee is already included," after the tap, not "tipping is optional." I did like the service, but the 35% tip was not well deserved. I didn't feel like they went above and beyond and like I said, there's a special type of mannerism that I feel was a huge miss about the service fee, which could of been handled more professionally.

Mediocre Food, Insultingly Small Portions and Poor Service…read more Unfortunately, Komodo was a major disappointment. The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.

Apparently a steak and eggs can be miscooked and they had redone it, never bothering to tell us. I did not try it there. Refills on the coffee were never offered. We took the steak and our cinnamon buns to go since we had been there long enough. The final kicker is they have an automatic 20% service charge in order to ensure the staff is paid enough. Seems like a business problem to me. Service was not up to that high of a standard. The crispy Spam Musubi had a perfect balance of sweet and savory and disappeared from the table faster than them all. I was a personal fan of the Chili chow fun with that umami flavor and egg noodles. This is one of those places where everyone can order what they're craving and share a little of everything. That's usually the best way to tackle a food hall anyway.
