Used to be my favorite panera bread location. Clean location, happy staff etc. In the last year the service has really gone down hill. Last year I was there with some friends at 815p...the closing time was 9p. We heard the staff openly and loudly complain about us being there so close to closing time. It was very insulting. We didn't go back for a long time after that incident. We started going back there again a few weeks ago bc we love the food so much . Not much has improved in service. Got there at 830p when the place closes at 10p. All the ice tea was put up. Wtf!? One of the guys was already mopping the floors as if they were about to close and the cashier did not look happy that we walked in and you could tell with his tone that he just didn't want to be there. After taking a two year break from this location due to bad management, my friend and I decided to give it another try. Menu had changed and the young lady was not able to tell us anything about the breakfast sandwiches so we took our chances. Prices didn't seem horrible until we saw the size of the sandwich. Not only was it on a huge plate, the presentation was nil. Many tables were in need of bussing, and the others were just dirty. So I work here and my official title is "Service Team Lead" mainly for up front , but I also make the food, and work in drive-thru. I would LOVE to explain some of these low-star reviews for some of y'all! Firstly, the Soufflés are freshly baked every morning (I know because I open up front every other day) and they take 23 minutes to bake fully. So I would theoretically need to put them in the oven at 6:30-6:35 AM. However, we have had a new baker recently and sometimes they do NOT finish preparing them when I need them, so then the soufflés are not ready at 7:00 AM. Also, they are VERY hot and on a METAL pan. So for MY safety, I let them cool off before I transfer to the display case. I am sorry if they are not there at precisely 7:00AM, but I do not want 2nd degree burns on my arms again. (I have a huge scar from rushing the soufflés to the pastry display...) Next, if you have placed a rapid pick-up OR Curbside pick-up, we will get the order on the production screen at a certain time (NOT as soon as the order has been placed) so sometimes it may take a little longer if the order is rather large. But also, if you order something such as our greek yogurt with mixed berries, or our fruit cup, they HAVE to be prepared by our prep person. So she has to WASH, CUT, MEASURE, AND PACKAGE each cup. This usually takes a while, and I am SO sorry if the good was not ready in time, but we want to make sure we don't forget anything. Next, (this one was in drive-thru that I heard from a co-worker) we had a drive-thru order for a greek yogurt with mixed berries and NO blueberries. Okay, no problem. (When the nice lady ordered from me one morning, I told her I would personally make it without the blueberries, as I am a Team Lead and should always make the customer happy.) My co-worker told her that they were already pre-made (which IS true) and didnt know we could make a separate cup for her. The lady was not too happy, and I can see why, because she was told one thing and then another. She then thought that we would just pick the blueberries out, which is NOT true. We start from scratch if there is a modification because we dont know if they are deathly allergic to the item! I am very sorry to have confused the lady in drive-thru. Next, if we get a phone call, but are in the middle of taking an order in-restrurant, we make sure the fine in customers are taken care of first, as they are top priority. So if you call 5-6 times, but we are helping out a customer, we CANNOT answer the phone. We try to rush to answer when we can, but we cant always do that. I am sorry for the frustration. Next, if we are in the middle of lunch rush (or not) and you are coming to pick up an order, if it is not on the wall that says "Rapid Pick-Up" then it 90% of the time ISN'T ready and we are waiting on the rest if the order. We have to have someone (when they arent taking an order up front) come over and check that everything is in there, get the drink cup, and mark off the items on the receipt to ensure that the order is right. At least I do. Sometimes we have newer employees who dont do a good job at that and forget to put the order on the wall, or they dont check the ticket off, or they don't even check the order! But we try to make sure we are efficient AND accurate. Next, (this one is something I see WAY too frequently unfortunately) as you should know, we do NOT deliver from in-store. You can order online and we have places like Doordash pick up your order to deliver it. Sometimes the Doordash person is LATE or TOO EARLY from when the order was recieved. They are VERY rude and condescending to whoever they talk to. And they mark your order as "delivered" before they even deliver it! Once they order has left our store, it is in Doordash's hands at that point. We have done everything we could. We had a large order ordered as a delivery. We got everything ready on time and the delivery person came to pick the order up and deliver it. They were 15-30 minutes late AND marked their order as delivered befor ethry got there. So unfortunately, I got to deal with the angry customer (understandable) and got told it was MY fault that their order was way late when it was the deliverer's fault. I'm so sorry to that lady about that incident. Next, if your order happens to have been messed up, we CAN offer you a refund, or to remake it or to get a replacement item if your choosing. However, we can only do refunds in store, as we need to have the receipt, the register to allow the manager to refund the item(s), and your card to refund the money directly to you. Unfortunately that is the only way to do a refund, we are very sorry. Every time I had been to Panera in the past, I was less than thrilled with what I got (we're talking about 5 times with different menu choices each time). I just didn't think the food was that special or had that much flavor, let alone justifying paying a good lump sum for it. Then, one magical day, they came out with the Thai Chopped Chicken Salad and I fell in love. I come here at least once a week for that salad and it is so worth the cost/effort/time/whatever. I crave it, I dream about it, I would formally marry it if I weren't already married (polygamy is so not 'in'). The staff here are super friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Obviously I will return (every week). read more

This is a large Panera! I needed to study and was in the area so I stopped by here. There are so many great nooks to study here. It's not overly loud and there's enough ambient noise to keep me awake. I ordered their egg white sandwich and LOVED it. It was filling and kept me full all morning. I love that they have an egg white option. I was happy with how quickly they fulfilled my order. By the time I finished making my coffee, my omelet was ready. I totally took advantage of their unlimited coffee refills. I am obsessed with their Hazelnut Cream coffee. Don't judge me. I don't understand why but I can't get enough of their coffee. There isn't much to complain about when it comes to Panera bread. I go here all the time, have always loved the food options they have and the fact that they have wifi. Essentially, they are a cafe, and they are extremely close to the college campus, which makes them the perfect hangout spot for lunch, study sessions, meetings, and so forth. Honestly, I have frequented Panera many times, so with that being said, I can't think of any complaints. I often get the French onion soup in the bread bowl, and coffee. I absolutely LOVE Panera, but this location needs a serious re-evaluation!!! The staff is rude, not friendly whatsoever, the dining room temperature was extremely warm, I asked one of the employees if there was any way she could adjust the temperature just a little and with an attitude, she replied, "I don't know," and then walked away, like she could careless. My son ordered the broccoli Mac n cheese and it was luke- warm at best, , and the dining room had several dirty tables in it. Just went to Panera Bread for a couple croissants & a cappuccino. When I took the lid off to add sugar I saw my cup a little more than half full. This place is horrible. Drive through line took 80 minutes to get through and when speaking to staff they gave no explanation for that wait time nor a care in the world that it took so long. I pulled up to order after waiting 50 minutes in line already to be told it would be another twenty minute wait and was asked "is that okay?" First off, I love Panera Bread their food is always so fresh and good. I used to go in to another location almost everyday before I moved to this area. So it really pains me to write a bad review for them. Once a month we have been ordering through the mobile app bagel packs. The last 3 times the orders are prepared wrong, or they can't find our order. Today we did this and went through the drive up window because I was still in my pajamas about 15 minutes after when the app said it should be ready. The girl couldn't find my order and said they never received it. I said ok I would pull around and show them my receipt. I got inside and they evidently found my order because there was a girl walking to the door to hand me a bag. Fine. I go to the car and hand my fiancé the bag to check everything because like I said before they never get it right. Low and behold there was a missing tub of cream cheese. He went in to get it and they said they did it on purpose because they were out of the flavor we ordered. (Why wasn't I told if they already knew when I was originally handed the order?) so he picked out another flavor and we went on our way. We might have had a large order(1 bagel pack, cookies, and dinner rolls) but I left a good tip when I originally placed the order. My fiancé has banned me from ordering there again because no matter how good the bagels are they don't deserve our hard earned money when they can NEVER get it right. We got there at 2:30pm on Saturday afternoon. Had every intention of using the drive-thru. It was closed. Decided to use the website to go ahead and place order. Wasn't working. Well, we were determined to eat sandwiches so went ahead and went inside for a Togo order. There wasn't that many people in there, so we thought 15 minutes at most for two pick twos with sandwiches and soups. Finally got our food at 3:15. Seriously?! 45 mins for two sandwiches that were bland? The meat was chewy, bread was over cooked on sandwich, and was barely any sauce. Couldn't even finish my steak and cheddar panini. Disgusting. Paid $23 for a sandwich that would have been better at the gas station down the street. The people that were working had no sense of urgency. They walked around like zombies. Slow moving zombies. By the time we finally got our food we didn't even want to wait to see if our food was good. Just wanted to get out. So sad. I used to love this place, but have noticed in the past 5 years the quality has gone downhill. So, after eating there intermittently since paying attention to slow decline I will NOT go back. Panera and I have broken up after a decade long affair. Work to hard for my money to blow it on overpriced low quality crap. If I could give the place a lower star than 1 I would. I was under the weather yesterday and so stopped for some soup. Placed a to go order via the kiosk and took my buzzer. The staff in the back was slower than snails. I waited 15 minutes for my bowl of soup, where there was only 1 order before me. I went to check to make sure my order had gone through, and the guy working the pick up window seemed confused and couldn't find my order. Someone finally popped around the corner and said he had it and it would be ready soon. Finally, they hand me my soup and 1 of the drinks I ordered. I asked about the frozen lemonade I ordered. The following exchange actually happened: "What about my frozen lemonade?" - me "*blank stare* wha?" "I ordered a frozen lemonade? It's on the menu." - me "I....don't think we can make that. *turns to manager walking past* can we make frozen lemonade?" - pick up guy "Yes." - manager, who then walks away. "How do I make that?" He asks to another guy. After a brief pause, he looks back to me and literally says, "We can't make that right now." *stares at me* End of conversation. Didnt offer to make me something else or get me a fountain drink cup. I had to ask, "ok...so can I just have a different drink then?" To which he continued to stare at me until someone else came over. He literally couldn't bother getting help or asking how to make a menu item so he just said they couldn't do it. Excellent. Came for breakfast this morning with the hubby. Normally we love Panera and go to another location for lunch often. This morning service was HORRIBLE. The girl at the register was very confused and it was painful ordering. Our food took over 20 minutes to arrive and half our order was forgotten and my husbands breakfast sandwich was incorrect. When our pastries finally arrived, mine was wrong. The lady left to grab the right pastry and never returned. We asked for a refund and probably will not come back to this location. Is Panera bread going out of business? The restaurants are not being kept up, their bakery goods have dwindled to only cookies and the help is not very happy or accommodating. Portions are also extremely small for the price and not at all fresh looking. At 3:33 in the afternoon with no people - the service was very slow and the food only edible - it used to be one of my favorite salad places - not sure I'll go back. As a vegetarian, I sometimes struggle to find places close to me with decent vegetarian food, but as of a few months ago I haven't had this issue since. I don't order out very often, but when I do I order from Panera Bread. Personally, I enjoy the Caesar salad most, however there are other tasty things on the menu. I'm only giving four stars because just last weekend I ordered a salad, two sandwiches, and two smoothies for dinner I was having with a few friends, but it took about and hour to arrive and when it got to my house the sandwiches were cold, even though one of them was completely burnt. My friend who had the burnt sandwich still ate it because by the time it arrived he was starving, but he said it wasn't good. Also, my salad had a hair in it, which isn't a huge deal, but it grossed me out a bit knowing I almost ate it. Overall, I was just really disappointed knowing that someone signed off on sending this poor excuse of a meal out for my friends and I to eat. 90% of my visits here have been unpleasant. The workers are always unnecessarily rude to me. I always order the same thing every time I come here, which is a half order grilled chicken Caesar salad and a chocolate chipper. And I always make sure I don't come during the rushes, but the workers almost always have an attitude with me for no apparent reason. I've tipped, been polite, etc. I don't see why they're always rude. It's definitely something that needs to be adjusted. read more

I've been ill so my husband has been getting me to go meals, mostly soup. My favorite is when he brings home Panera Bread. Today, I had their corn chowder, yesterday was broccoli cheese. First I want to say I LOVE this place! The environment is everything, customer service is amazing and the employees are so sweet! Just to be clear I come here more than I should lol and wanted to that the negative comments come from negative people. This place is filled with so much pure positivity and half the complaints given are out of their control. There's literally people in the reviews who still come here every single day despite saying they'll never be back. "They don't answer the phone" are you calling during busy hours? "The microwave is too low" heat it up at home? "They don't make my iced coffee right" make it yourself??? The employees will wait on these people hand and foot and they'll never be satisfied. I need to start by saying we a Big Time Panera fans. We love the food. This location used to have great service. Staff out in the dining room all the time. Now not so much. The last 2 times we have been here tables are left full of dirty dishes. Never see a worker in the dining room. Drink station is dirty. Trash on the floor. I started the coffee subscription because I figured it is worth it to get good coffee and a decent cup of fruit or something on my way to work. All I ever get is a coffee and a fruit cup or pastry. I always order 10 min before I leave my house and I'm 5 min away but every time I have shown up it is NEVER ready. I don't know how it takes 15 - 20 min to pour a coffee and grab a pastry but this always happens. The store is always empty might I add so it's not like they are busy. My most recent purchase was the same problem. I told the girl working there to cancel my order and she did but when I asked if I will be refunded she had no idea. So I guess I'm just going to watch my account for a $3 order to be refunded. I hope this location fixes this problem or retrains because I love the subscription idea but this location is ruining it for me. read more

Had lunch from here today. Not bad, but at least one mis-step. Elizabeth greeted me and took my order and was very personable. The food was ready quickly and was hot and the order was correct (all points that are generally important to me). I ordered 2 items, French Onion soup and Hot Cuban Chicken Panini. The soup was too salty for my taste, but the panini was excellent. Also, as a side note, We visited this restaurant about a week ago, I had their Strawberry, Poppyseed and Chicken Salad which is one of the best salads I've had and I would strongly recommend it if you like that sort of thing. read more
