    Cobb salad without avocado+ chicken
    Tam M.

Amazing find on my first day in the city! I had eaten pretty light and healthy all day. Decided to keep the momentum going by picking up a salad for my evening meal. The receptionist at the hotel I stayed at suggested the place with such enthusiasm. Now I know why. As the name denotes, you leave or GO with your salad or entree. There is no dining area, which probably keeps the overhead very low because the cost of this salad as big as it was would have cost double maybe triple the cost at say a Salada. You start with some base salad blends and basically add protein if you desire. Choices of protein without an upcharge are roasted chicken, buffalo chicken or tofu. Extra for the steak. For my order, I was drawn to order my all time fav, the Cobb salad. This establishment's cobb has Hard Boiled Egg, Bacon, Avocado, Tomatoes, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Green Onions, Romaine, and Mixed Greens. Blue cheese dressing comes with it by default but I changed it to Caesar. Additionally, I can't eat avocado so I nixed it. For my protein, I choose the buffalo chicken. I was surprised by the cost which was under $8 and the speed of the order being completed which is all made through an intercom drive thru. 5 minutes or less I was on my way back to the hotel with my hefty bag of salad. I was even more flabbergasted when I took out the salad and witnessed how massive it was. Just the color of the entree was enticing. I couldnt wait to pour my crispy onions and caesar dressing on this bad boy. The first bite was heaven! The buffalo chicken has just enough kick to elevate the salad from being healthy but tantalizing. I LOVE having the crispy onion to create multitudes of texture. The greens were absolutely fresh and green - not one brown or wilted piece of lettuce in the bowl. Finally the boiled egg was an actual whole boiled egg sliced and placed in the corner of the bowl while real bacon pieces were heavily sprinkled on top of the buffalo chicken. This salad was one for the books and sure would give other salad places a run for their money. I would totally patronize this place once a week if it was in my area. This salad could be eaten off twice easily. If I ever come back to the area, this place will be a stop on my visit and of someone asked me for suggestions on where to eat in Hurst, I will be like the Hotel receptionist and emphatically and enthusiastically, "Salads and Go!"

Seriously the best. I make a couple of bulk orders each year. were talking 70+ personalized salads/wraps and each and every time this location nails it. Substitutions, add ons, allergies, ect they accommodate it all and they do it right. Each salad comes out fresh and delicious. The manager, Aaron, is so incredibly helpful and meets every question and request with a smile. Overall they are friendly, accommodating, and pop out incredible food at a high pace. I can not recommend them enough.

I ordered the classic burger - so juicy, well seasoned, and plenty of meat. The grilled brioche bun was soft and buttery and the overall taste was fantastic. A perfectly well made burger served with their smashed baby potatoes. Look forward to trying more and the desserts. I appreciate that they use seasonal, high quality, and local ingredients. This place leans more into the healthier eating and you can see the staff working right behind the open counter. Presentation for all of our food was good. We ordered Brussels sprouts to share. They felt a bit overcooked - more steamed and mushy vs. the stir-fried/air-fried Brussels that I enjoy. Didn't really have much flavor. Then I ordered the winter burger with potatoes. The burger was a decent size and the winter burger included a few apple slices on it. Sadly, the apple slices were the only things that gave this burger flavor since the burger patty itself lacked any seasoning. I enjoyed the baby potatoes but it, too, needed more salt. I ordered the olive oil cake to go for my husband. Again, good presentation but lacking in taste. It was closer to dry cornbread consistency rather than a moist cake (and I've made plenty of olive oil cakes before to know it can be moist!) Rating more for the service and ambience but would give it 2 stars for food. Overall, if I go back, I'll try something else like a salad or stick to the smoothies here.

It's been awhile since I've ordered online and I didn't know Salata had an online order pickup area now. So I go in and sit at a nearby booth expecting the currently-empty pickup area to have my order put in it shortly. It was lunch rush, and they were hopping, so I expected a bit of a wait. After my 13 minute pickup window comes and goes, I decide to stand near the shelves looking purposeful in case I can get someone's attention. When I do so, an employee calls out asking if I have a pickup. Turns out my order had been waiting at the register end of their very long assembly line for who knows how long. How was I supposed to know? Why have an online order area if you're not going to use it? It felt like I had to a regular to know this magical info. Salata - My suggestion would be to fill in your online order shelving with something else useful and stick an "Online Pickup" ceiling sign over the registers so people know where to go. (haven't had my food yet, it's for dinner. At least they put the dressing on the side like I asked! Hoping it's yummy)

I was originally planning to go to another famous burger place in town, but this American food…read morerestaurant looked and sounded really good from the photos and menu and was close to my hotel. I visited during lunch so I took advantage of the lunch burger special for $3 off. Horizon 76 turned out to be good for another entree I was craving 2 days later, so I returned a 2nd time. They sat us in the same table unknowingly and I even sat in the same seat. We also had the same waiter and he of course remembered us and our drink order from last time. How's that for customer service? On my first visit I ordered a tea and original horizon burger and added a cup of chili, which isn't really listed on the menu but they can addit to your burger for a few dollars more. I had wanted to try the bone-in burger, but they don't offer it anymore. My friend who lives in Ft Worth had not heard of this place that opened around 2020, but then again he doesn't get out much. Burger - this is a very good burger and I would put it up against the best burgers in town. I don't live here, but I bet it would be in the top 3 for any burger enthusiast that likes thick burgers. The sweet sourdough bun really makes this taste even better, not to mention when you have steak blends in your patty, it elevates it quite a bit. Fries - I've had several duck fries around the country and these were not that good. Not much seasoning at all. Tasted like typical frozen breaded fries flash fried in duck fat. Side of chili - small amounts of anything are usually tasty, this chili is no exception. Filled with beans and comes in like a shot glass. They don't give you much as a side. I guess they prefer you to order the $16 chili entree. On my second visit, my buddy and I were craving a good chicken fried steak. We decided to visit here since you rarely see filet / tenderloin as the protein in CFS, plus knowing the burger was awesome, we figured the CFS was probably good too. For my sides, I chose grilled veggies and loaded baked potato. CFS - This was a good version but I didn't really like the breading due to its color and high flour content. I prefer a darker greasier one. The meat was what I came for mainly and it was really good tenderloin pounded pretty dang thin. Not overly breaded, surprisingly. The veggie medley is truly a mix of about 8 different veggies, which you rarely see. Most grilled veggie sides are 3-4 at most. Overall, my best friend was super impressed and now he wants to return to their BBQ restaurant next door. I was also impressed, but I would come back for a burger or another entree next time.
