Went on a Monday evening around 8:30 pm and it was surprisingly busy. They do have a drive-thru, but we decided to walk up to the window thinking it'd be quicker. Ended up waiting about 30 minutes for our quesadilla. It was good. Solid spot if you're looking for a convenient late-night meal.

Ok, one thing I miss about California is the rolled tacos. Yelp fans said Los Alberto's was the place to find them. Be advised, it's a little walk up/drive up in a parking lot. Two picnic tables to eat it there. Super friendly staff and a legit atmosphere. The food? Amazing. Loaded toppings, super flavor, all spot on. This is a hidden gem! Highly recommend

The BEST Mexican food in Dallas! Being from Southern California, I love authentic baja mexican food and this place has it! Reminds me of back home in San Diego! We literally drive 1hr on weekends to get this Mexican food since north Dallas has no taco shops. It's rare to find my favorite which is rolled tacos! They use shredded beef, so good! We also got the carne Asada burrito. The service is quick and easy. Prices are good! Basically just drive up and order! Check it out especially if you haven't found good Mexican food yet because this is the best Dallas has!

Bistek encebollado... good portion size

I ordered the bistek encebollado. It was seasoned well. It included onion, tomato and jalapeños on top. The jalapeños made this dish way too spicy for me even after I removed them all. But it had good taste.

Cheesy burrito after I was promised no cheese.

Ordered a California burrito with no cheese. Told these folks 15 different ways that I was allergic to cheese. They promised no cheese. I took the burrito home and cut it in half. It looked ok. I took a bite and as I start to chew I saw huge strings of cheese pull from the other side. Turns out they melted the cheese onto the ingredients. I went to the ER immediately, and luckily caught it with enough time to avoid serious injury, but I needed a ton of antihistamines for the next week. I was really excited to go here, but this was a disaster. It would have been cheaper to fly to California for what this burrito cost me.

This is a small walk-up and drive-thru establishment. It's very popular and it was the first time trying it. My friend made the suggestion, we chose to walk up and sit outside. They took our order very fast and the food was ready within 10 min. The burritos are pretty big!! I didn't finish mine because I ordered a sopes as well. The food was hot and delicious! It hit the spot when we needed some much needed fuel!

No frills late night place for my Mexican food cravings. I got the carne asada fries and it was decent. Meat quality was much to be desired, and the ratio was off with more toppings then french fries that felt undercooked, since it was rushed. Salsa was not spicy enough. Food came out in a fast manner and for $11 it was not bad. I liked the ambiance since it was very chill and relaxed on a early spring day with people just casually eating together.

Stopped by to get a quick bite and Los Alberto's was solid! It's a walk up/drive thru so it's best to order takeout, they have two picnic tables outside. The menu is quite long, with lots of options and combos. The carne asada burrito was pretty good, and the portion was substantial. The meat was flavorful, but on the greasier side. Also ordered a side of chili fries, which was surprisingly delicious. The layer of melted cheese and hot chili paired really well with the fries. Overall, based on the value and taste, this spot was totally worth it. We recommend!

"Chips and Queso "

First time trying the food here and I asked for Chips and Queso the lady said yes so I was expecting some chips and queso dip. Nope I was wrong! This is what I got. I also ordered the #9 asada torta and that was a 3/10. Let me not forget the parking lot... omg that's a nightmare to get out of .

Breakfast Burrito

Stopped by Los Alberto's Mexican food which is actually a walk up or drive thru restaurant. When you arrive, parking can be a little tricky if the drive thru is busy. To place your order you can either join the drive thru line or walk up to the front. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo, potatoes and cheese which was very good. They also provide green and red salsa on the side and I really enjoyed the red salsa. I may have to make this a regular spot for grabbing early morning breakfast burritos.

Carne Asada Fries without sour cream, pico de gallo
Annie C.

Wow, best Mexican food we've had since moving from San Diego. Beef rolled tacos- a 10, don't get 3 and regret, order the 5 and ask for the red sauce. Carne Asada Fries- never had it with beans . We asked for no pico de gallo or sour cream. Next time we will also ask for no beans. Delightful . Carne Asada Burrito- ask for no onions . Just carne and guacamole. Fish burrito- a tad too much on the onions but very satisfying.

What is a sopes?

Mexican sopes are fried corn tortillas that can be topped with beans, cheese, and meat. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/235756/easy-mexican-sopes/

Is there lard or pork in the refried beans?

Not sure, but that's pretty standard for most Mexican food places. This place taste legit - not exactly healthy.

What's the difference between the California, Texas and a Super burrito on their menu? I wish they would put a description of their filling

I've never heard of a Texas Burrito, but a California burrito implies the carne, french fries, and guacamole are inside the burrito. Places mix it up with other regular burrito fillings in addition to that, but that's the base. I believe at Los…

Do they serve beer (cerveza)?

Nope

What's in the California burrito?

Carne asada, pico, french fries, cheese.

We went there last night and it was closed. There are orange cones in the driveway. Are they on vacation, or have they gone out of business?

They are having some plumbing corrected that required work under the concrete.

There were no seats, but two young staff members took care of us like we were VIPs! They immediately pulled out tables and chairs for us. What a team! We were so grateful for the service! The drinks were fairly priced and my piña colada was OUTSTANDING! No way it was a mix. It tasted like it was from scratch! It's an older establishment, but the band, the DJ, and the staff made sure everyone had a good time!

Usually this means the beginning of the end for restaurants (See Pulido's) BUT, we gave it a try a few weeks after the change and the food was still the same, great quality it always has been. Hooray! Then the name change. This also had me worried. If they're changing the name, they might be changing process and procedures in the kitchen as well. Well, we still frequent the place regularly and it's STILL our go-to for Tex-Mex. Still great food, still great atmosphere, still great, friendly staff. Always. Everything we've had so far has been fantastic: enchiladas, giant burrito, shrimp tacos, beef fajitas, everything. If I was to say ONE thing as a criticism, I miss the pitcher of salsa on the table to refill your salsa cup. And the bowl of chips is smaller, making you go through them quicker. A minor inconvenience and the staff are pretty much on top of refills, so like I said: minor. Oh, and I miss looking under the plates for the 'M' for the complimentary dish. Just something fun.

We were both in the mood for some yummy TexMex and chips and salsa. Mi Pueblo has never let us down. We were greeted and seated right away and Leslie, our server, introduced herself and took our drink orders. We started to order a couple of frozen margaritas but opted for unsweetened iced tea instead. I ordered the #7 lunch special which included a Chili Relleno and crispy taco. My wife decided on the Chicken Quesadillas lunch special which included a side of refried beans and rice. We love their chips and salsa especially since they've started including a bowl of their spicy salsa. We mix their house and spicy salsa together to make the perfect blend of spicinesses. Mi Pueblo's chips are thin and crisp with no hint of greasiness. We both have to watch ourselves so we don't overdue it on the chips and salsa, which is very easy to do. Leslie checked in with us several time before our lunch entrees arrived. They were piping hot straight from the kitchen and oh so good. My wife loved her quesadillas and my crispy beef taco and Chili Relleno was perfect, one of the best I've had in a very long time. We weren't rushed at all and had a great time leisurely enjoying our lunch and relaxing. We'll be back to see everyone very soon.
