Like many others, we've been coming here when it was Miguelitos. Then the announcement it was changing owners. Oh boy. Usually this means the beginning of the end for restaurants (See Pulido's) BUT, we gave it a try a few weeks after the change and the food was still the same, great quality it always has been. Hooray! Then the name change. This also had me worried. If they're changing the name, they might be changing process and procedures in the kitchen as well. Well, we still frequent the place regularly and it's STILL our go-to for Tex-Mex. Still great food, still great atmosphere, still great, friendly staff. Always. Everything we've had so far has been fantastic: enchiladas, giant burrito, shrimp tacos, beef fajitas, everything. If I was to say ONE thing as a criticism, I miss the pitcher of salsa on the table to refill your salsa cup. And the bowl of chips is smaller, making you go through them quicker. A minor inconvenience and the staff are pretty much on top of refills, so like I said: minor. Oh, and I miss looking under the plates for the 'M' for the complimentary dish. Service took forever to get us a table. Then we had to continue to wait. While we waited, we saw the food coming out and it didn't look appealing so we got up and left. I guess the service gave us a bad taste to start off with. read more

I'm here every week for lunch and the food and service is great. I've taken my kids and they're picky but ask to go back.

They are having sewage problems. When you walk in the door the sewage smell knocks you over. They will not give you a basket of chips only a small bowl with 8 chips at a time. The salsa or liquid tomato sauce is not edible. Taste like rancid spaghetti sauce. The chair we sat in fell apart. The back of the chair came completely off. With a table of five. Three of us had dirty silverware. It definitely needs inspection. The place was old, dirty and nowhere I will eat again. read more

food is overpriced and not as tasty compared to other Mexican restaurants. Under staffed, some who are uncaring if you need help. I ask for a knife or scissors to remove a bandage and the waitress couldn't be bothered. One positive note they do have great bands perform, many this is to get customers since the prices are high. read more

Restaurant signage says established 2024. Reviews are within a few weeks. We dined on a Sunday lunch during a Spring Break. It is located where a long time well known restaurant was. We did not try any specialty items. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. My sponsor had the Chicken Flautas. I ordered the beef Chimichangas. The interior and exterior have been reworked with different colors and artwork. Looks to work well for groups. read more

We had the pleasure of hosting our Enhanced Retirement Planning Workshop for Successful Professionals and Small Business Owners at Dos Amores Tex-Mex Restaurant in Hurst, TX, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish! The private event space was perfectly set up and very accommodating for our group. A big thank you to Laura, the event manager, for making the planning seamless, and to Ricky L. and Mauro C. for their exceptional support. And we can't say enough about Tele, our server -- the service was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire event. The team even provided us with a mobile 55" screen for our presentation, which was a huge help and made the workshop flow smoothly. It's not easy to find a venue that combines excellent hospitality with the right setup for professional events, but Dos Amores delivered on all fronts. Came in for lunch with a group and was underwhelmed. Service was good, but I ordered the lunch fajitas and they were not good. The meat was so thick and the seasoning did not taste right. If I had to come back, I wouldn't order them again. I did like that they had their salsa in jugs on the table. read more

Recently visited this establishment. If you like to eat at place where your feet will stick to floor, this is the place for you! Just be sure not to wear sandals. Food is disgusting! Service is the worst in town. Building needs so much updating. We will never go back! I laugh every time I drive by and see the parking lot full. read more

A wonderful great authentic Mexican restaurant. Food, fresh, tasty, and good amount of food for a great price. And let me tell you, the margaritas remind of ones I've had in Cabo! i have gone to Dos Amores a few times. The food and service is great. The atmosphere feels inclusive and everyone enjoys the various types of music genre that is played: 80s/90s, Country. (my favorite) Tejano, etc. I have yet to attend Karoake night but will definitely check it out soon. It is a great place to make it your "Cheers", if anyone remembers that TV show! read more
