You need to make a reservation and try this place rightaway! All the drinks we tried on the menu were great! The ones recommended to us based on our taste of preference were also amazing! They even provide chocolates with a few drinks. Its a nice, small place with a good vibe. Service was great!

Very small and quiet speakeasy, but service was great and drinks were high quality and delicious. A good experience at least once!

Magnum speakeasy is by reservation only. I did buy reservations through OpenTable. It does require a credit card to guarantee your reservation, but you're not charged unless you don't show up. You check in at the hotel connected to the Vin and let them know you have reservations for Magnum. When your time comes up, they escort you through this secret door(sort of) with a code they give you in case you need to leave and come back like to go to the bathroom. Inside is very intimate and done up like your living room almost. Inside It's very cozy with couches and lounge, chairs and small tables. There are maybe 25 people back in the room with two or three bartenders your reservation is for an hour and a half. We've been there twice now. The first time, about four months ago was fabulous. The bartender came and asked us what we would like or what did we like and did we want to allow him to make something special for us which we all did. After we had a chance to taste his concoctions he came back by and asked if we liked it. One of ours party wasn't crazy about her so we took it back and remade something that she loved. It was great. The second time was last week. Wasn't nearly as crowded and there were two bartenders to take care of everybody. There were maybe 10 or 12 people there total. However, my experience was totally different this time. The bartender did come and wanted to know what we wanted, there was a quick conversation about the bartenders choice which is what we had done before, but he quickly changed the subject and asked what we liked and when I said, I liked rubbing Coke and martinis, he said "well which one do you want?" I ended up with a martini. I might as well have been sitting outside or at another place that was much less expensive. Yes the drinks are expensive, but you're paying for the experience which I did not feel we got this time. We had friends in from out of town and we're hoping to impress them with this, but this experience left us Less satisfied. For the second round another bartender did come out and pretty much asked what we like. My friend and I said we liked chocolate martinis, and he probed a little more and found out that she liked chocolate mint martinis. He brought back the most fabulous drinks! They didn't look like chocolate at all, but they sure tasted like chocolate and or chocolate mint. They were fabulous and something that we wouldn't get at your neighborhood bar or at home.

Nestled inside of Hotel Vin, down the hall, secretly, and with reservations only, inside the telephone door, the first thing to know is that this is a chill room. Perfect early jazz singers in the background, comfortable seating, nice dark design. It's not a lively party secret room, more for enjoying quiet conversation and good cocktails. It's very much still a work in progress after a few weeks open. Pick up the phone in the phone booth and Clint Eastwood will tell you if you have a reservation you can get a code to enter from the restaurant reception desk. But amusingly, even the folks at reception had trouble finding the code and getting the inner door to the speakeasy open. It's a short list of specialty cocktails, yes, even including a $40 margarita, which I suspect is on the list to make you feel better about the $20 you'll really drop on each drink. It's a short list of specialty cocktails, with the option to ask for a "dealer's choice" where they offer to make you a special drink based on your preferences. When the wife tried that, they ended up just picking something off the short menu that was close to her interests. Felt bad for the two bartenders who had to work off the tiniest little bar I've ever seen, hardly as big as you'd expect a home bar to be. Lots of things got dropped or toppled in the process of them making just a few drinks, trying to work in such limited space. But they were good natured and joking about it. I've no doubt that over the coming weeks they'll make some adjustments for the bartenders and the room to run smoother. Seatings are for 1 1/2 hours, and it will take that long to have 2 drinks, the set up just keeps things slow paced, even with the available reservation spots clearly timed to prevent any big rush. Glad we visited, and if you want a quiet conversation and a good drink in a private space, recommend you make a reservation and give Clint a call.

This place has the coolest chill vibe. It has old money classy decor and they create jazzy vocals of mixed genre. My server, Brian, was gracious and friendly. He listener to my taste preferences and conveyed them to the bar tender, Nick. I received the best fresh passion fruit vodka cocktail. My husband ordered Basil Hayden with a large cube, he said perfection. The only issue here is that they don't serve food. Brian offered us bar nuts.. Unfortunately, I needed more food in my system to enable multiple cocktails. Great place to impress a customer, GNO/ BNO or a date.

This place is a gem! First, it smells like tobacco and leather when you walk into the room. It really takes you back in time just with the smell alone. The dimly lit room makes for a cozy and intimate setting and vibe. There are a couple of couches and a few tables where you can sit and we ended up picking the couch. There is a drink menu specifically for this speakeasy and in my opinion, they have some great options. It is on the pricier side of things but it's worth it. Our bartender was great and he did mention that if there wasn't anything on the menu that you wanted, you can just tell him what you want and he'll make it. The drinks were brought to us and we never had to get up. The service was outstanding! The only downside that I will mention is that you WILL have to RSVP in advance. I've heard the wait is a few months so definitely keep that in mind. All-in-all, I highly recommend you make that reservation and try this place out for yourself!

What a cool way to celebrate a birthday for cocktails. The ambiance really makes you step back in time to prohibition days. They strive to really make this an experience and it works all the little details from the smell of tobacco and leather , the music and even the lighting adds to the immersive experience. Our bartender Nicholas (didn't get the other man's name) were amazing drinks top-notch and strong definitely add this to your bucket list

Pretty fun and interesting bar. Nice ambience. Both bartenders were super attentive and genuinely nice... provided suggestions and highlighted certain ingredients and liquors to consider. Clientele was nice and respectful. Be sure to reserve your spot before showing up.

I can't wait to go back and sit at the bar. Our waiter Shawn was great. Very calm, helpful and available when we needed him. The Lavender Lemonade is a delicious cocktail and a great way to start the meal. The Fat Cat Fries has so many flavors going on. They were good. I LOVED the Blistered Shishitos and Crabmeat Dip. The naan it was served with was warm and abundant. I do not like when you order a dip and hardly get any chips or bread for dipping. Tycoon covered it! Our friend had the French Onion Soup and liked it. The Steak Frites (substituted with broccolini) that our friend got looked amazing. My husband had the Wagyu Sliders and really enjoyed them. I had the Mediterranean Primavera with blacked chicken that our waiter recommended adding. It was very good. They have a nice wine selection. Not a huge list, but good.

I made my reservation on Resy. A couple of days later I get a call from the restaurant saying they needed a $25 deposit over the phone, in case we cancel. I have dined at a lot of restaurants but never have I made a deposit upfront, they would just have a card on file and charge it if there is a no show. The lady on the phone (Chelsea) said we would only have 90 minutes at our table, which is standard for most restaurants. Nevertheless we paid $25 and kept our reservation, since Valentine's Day is busy time I figured this was the reason for all of this. Upon our arrival we were seated right away, and as soon as we sat down the hostess let us know that they would need our table by 5:45pm, because that is when the next reservation would be there. Right off the bat I felt rushed. I hated the table we were sat in, because we were so close in proximity to other people. Tycoon is very pretty inside, but if you are not seated in one of their spacious booths, the other tables are so close together, you will definitely hear other people's conversations. Let's talk about the food, I ordered the Lavender Lemonade as my cocktail and that was really good. For our appetizer we had the Deviled eggs, and I was excited because I love Deviled Eggs, but these were just okay. I didn't love how over stuffed they were, I just felt like it was too much. For my entree I had the Chicken Parmesan which I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought my meal was flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My husband had the sea bass and he loved his food. To end the night we shared their Dessert Trio and that was delicious, aside from the Creme Brûlée because that had no taste. Their service was good. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I definitely didn't feel rushed by him, but the same hostess stood near waiting for me to take my last bite of pasta so she could take the plate from the table. We were watching the time the whole time to make sure we got out of there on time. Overall I was disappointed. I get that Valentine's Day is busy day for restaurants but I don't want to be rushed through a dinner that should be enjoyable.

Martin greeted us as we sat and took our drink order. As we looked through the menu, it became hard to decide what to get, but something about their burger kept calling out my name, so the burger it was. Martin brought out our drinks and the espresso martini was delicious. I love that they had their own spin to it, adding hazelnut, because it's good to be a little different. I also love that they weren't batched, because you can definitely tell the difference. The foam on top of an espresso martini is one of my favorite things about the drink, and it was so foamy and velvety! The burger, man oh man, that burger slapped hard! Since it was a smashburger, there were two patties on the burger that were seared amazingly perfect on each side. The one thing I really appreciated is that the middle of the patties were still juicy and moist, and it was nice to get both textures in every bite of the burger!! My dad got the burger also, and agreed that it is one of the best burgers he's had in a long time! As we wrapped up our dining, my son wanted some dessert, so he decided the chocolate cake. I looked at the price and was like wow, that must be a good piece of cake, but whatever! And when the cake came out, we understood why! The cake was big enough to feed 6 people, and I love how light the cake was. Some chocolate cake can be heavy and chocolate forward, but this one had some great balance, and loved the chocolate fondue they had on the side! Great experience here, loved that it was in hotel, parking was super easy, and then there's some other cool spots in the hotel for grabbing food and drinks also!

I can only assume many of those visits were later in the day when the airport is significantly busier, because my experience was the complete opposite. I had a little under an hour in the lounge with a flight arriving at 7:25am and departing at 8:50am. There was no line to check in and we were granted immediate access. Located in Terminal D across from Gate D12, guests must present their AMEX card and boarding pass for entry. The cardholder receives complimentary access, while additional adult guests are $50 and children are $30 each. If you spend more than $75K annually on your AMEX card, you receive two complimentary guest passes. Personally, I do not think paid guest access is worth it for a short layover, but I can definitely see the value during a longer one. The lounge itself is quite large, though maybe not large enough for a busy airport like Dallas considering the number of reviews mentioning wait times. During my visit, however, while there were plenty of people, there were still a few spare seating options available. Their lounge had a good variety of booths, dining tables, lounge chairs, workspaces, and even small private office areas for calls or meetings. The entire space felt clean and organized. The food was continuously replenished and stayed fresh throughout my visit, though nothing was particularly spectacular. It reminded me a lot of the complimentary breakfast at a Hyatt or Hilton. Still, it was absolutely appreciated after an early flight on an empty stomach. I did enjoy that they offered healthier options including fresh fruit, fresh pressed juices, and wellness shots. I also noticed staff regularly cleaning tables between guests, and the bar area seemed popular with travelers enjoying complimentary morning cocktails. The bathrooms were clean, modern, and had full privacy doors with no awkward gaps, which is an upgrade from the typical airport bathrooms. Overall, I had a good experience and would absolutely return during future travels through DFW.
