Do not snooze on the oysters or the scallop with foie gras. Drink wise get the tokoyo dragon (if you like whiskey), tiger's flame (if your a fan of spicy & tequila) or the Japanese green tea shots (perfectly made). The ambience is perfect for special occasions, such as a birthday or a date. The coolest thing is that the second floor is a karaoke lounge that also has a full bar and has great energy so get rady to sing your heart out. The karaoke rental is separate from the restaurant so if you just want to sing your heart out without eating, you can. The music choices they play in the restaurant is also top tier and definitely brings on a a intimate party atmosphere. The only improvement I can offer is that their service is lacking from an organization standpoint. The servers can get a little confused and backed up with orders with a large group and a little intimidated with the loud table. However, the food makes up for the experience and overall it was a wonderful time. Looking forward to going back for date night. I'm excited to try their AYCE!!

Service was okay, on the slower side and not particularly nice so for the price point you would expect the service level to grow with it. It took 30-40 minutes for our first item to come out and the servers were pretty absent/not that nice. Otherwise the food was solid. We got the nigiri pieces during happy hour for half price and the other dishes at full price. - otoro nigiri (2) $21 - hamachi nigiri (2) $8 - hirame nigiri (2) $8 - madai nigiri (2) $9 - uni nigiri (santa barbara) (2) $22 - robata sampler platter $24 - foie gras scallop $24 RECOMMEND - madai crudo $19 RECOMMEND - nagasaki clam $25 RECOMMEND

I can't wait to go back and sit at the bar. Our waiter Shawn was great. Very calm, helpful and available when we needed him. The Lavender Lemonade is a delicious cocktail and a great way to start the meal. The Fat Cat Fries has so many flavors going on. They were good. I LOVED the Blistered Shishitos and Crabmeat Dip. The naan it was served with was warm and abundant. I do not like when you order a dip and hardly get any chips or bread for dipping. Tycoon covered it! Our friend had the French Onion Soup and liked it. The Steak Frites (substituted with broccolini) that our friend got looked amazing. My husband had the Wagyu Sliders and really enjoyed them. I had the Mediterranean Primavera with blacked chicken that our waiter recommended adding. It was very good. They have a nice wine selection. Not a huge list, but good.

We truly enjoyed this hidden gem of a restaurant. We ordered two appetizers and lemon drop martinis which was strong and tart- not overly sweet- a plus in our book! Service was amazing and the restaurant lighting is very dim so it would be a perfect fit for date night. Can't wait to return to try more of their food options and more of their cocktails!

I know my husband and I were a little disappointed at first that there was a set menu, but we decided to stay and begin our night. First of all, the ambiance of the place was great, even though they had extra tables set up for the night, and it was tight. It was still intimate, and such a good atmosphere. Our server was Nicki or Nikki. I apologize if I spelled it incorrectly. She is an amazing server. She was helpful with decision-making, patient, and just very attentive. The food, even though it was a set menu for the evening, had good options, and everything we chose was delicious and flavorful! We are definitely coming back because I've only been asking to come here for the last 6 months, and now that my husband has found everything here delicious, we will be back soon.

We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.
