Came here first time. So food is below average for me. The rice was mushy and overcooked, whole bowl was just dry, and I paid 4.75 for this drink and why isn't it filled up. It literally looks like they poured some out. If I'm paying almost 5$ for a drink please don't be cheap with it. This was a really good experience. I've wanted to try this place for a while, and I was not disappointed. I teetered between 4 and 5 stars, it's just a regular Korean BBQ place and they were a tad slow at cleaning tables, but it was great food so it gets 5 stars today. We only talked to one person for a brief moment but he was really nice. I ordered the spicy garlic pork bowl and iced coffee and my boyfriend ordered the crispy chicken bowl. I actually really preferred his bowl, although I did have to sauce the chicken because the breading is really bland. I'm sure that's the point, since they have some great sauces, and the crispy chicken was great with their signature sauce and the sesame sauce. Yummo!! The coffee was great, very much like a Vietnamese coffee, sweet and luscious. The spicy garlic pork was really good, but the bowl really needed some texture. The quick cooked zucchini and broccoli do add a little crunch, but there's not enough of them to provide different textures. My bowl had three tiny pieces of broccoli, so maybe if there was more of the veggies, or some green cabbage. When you're ordering, there's no way to request extra veg. Overall, the bowls were good, the veg was fresh, the sauces were excellent. The bowls have great flavor and still manage to feel healthy and filling. We'll be back, for sure! read more

This place is very delicious. A little pricey but I justify that by making my meal last at least 3 days because the portions are large. I've noticed a quality difference between eating in and taking out. *much better to eat in. The Bulgogi Bowl is my go to and I highly recommend. The bowl was a pretty good sized portion, and the beef was a great texture - not chewy, nicely tender, and with great flavor. The japchae rolls were nice and crunchy, and the sauce on the side really added to the flavor. I'm looking forward to trying more items from Burning Rice soon. read more

A few screens to place your order that allows you to scroll down to see what might be next. A lot of options and may not know what you will get if you have not experienced the restaurant. We both ordered the hot Bibimop bowls. My sponsor ordered the Shrimp as protein. I had the chicken and pork. The cast iron bowls kept the food very hot. There were 5 or 6 sauces to choose. It was a fun experience. We did not need the double protein in our order. We had plenty of left over take home. Add the sauces to direct the flavor you desire. We tried Burning Rice for the first time as takeout, and it's kind of like a Korean mix of Panda Express and Chipotle, but with a digital twist. While the pictures and system are easy to navigate, I found the digital ordering a bit challenging since I wasn't familiar with the dishes or how they'd be prepared. The base price includes a bowl and veggies, and you pay extra to add meat. The system prompts you to add two meats, but honestly, one is more than enough. I can't imagine what three would look like! A bowl with one meat costs about $13 and is plenty filling, while two meats bumps it up to around $17. The kimchi rice, which is essentially rice with cabbage, wasn't my favorite, but my husband liked it. The box meal was good and came with egg roll-like dumplings. The chicken bites were fried and sweet, similar to orange chicken. The BBQ meat was sautéed, and the spicy meat had a nice kick to it. The meat was tasty, but we had mixed reviews on the rest. Now that we know what to pick and choose, we'll give it another shot. read more

This place is the chipotle version for dolsot bibimbap and I'm all for it! We've been learning the hard way that Asian food in this area of the metroplex can be an extreme hit or miss PLUS this place is a chain - so we approached this place with caution. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised! The dolsot bibimbap comes out sizzling hot and the toppings are generous. Bulgogi is on point and it's such a good option to have japchae. And sure - there are some things that are kind of Americanized like the chicken bites and certain sauces. That being said, they taste good so who cares ? We love bringing our baby here because it's a big sitting area and they have plenty of clean high chairs and boosters available - plus there is just the right amount of ambient noise that a rowdy baby won't bother anyone too much. Ordering is all done on a touchscreen near the entrance and the servers wheel food out, sizzling hot! That being said, if I was any closer to Zion market or Hmart area, I would probably just go there for bibimbap. Definitely recommend if you are close by looking for something fast and tasty. read more

Great stuff, I will definitely be coming back. They have a multiple-kiosk order system that allows you to see pictures of the food you're ordering and get your order in quickly. They have 6 house sauces that you can help yourself to (no additional fee). I really liked the Ssamjang and Signature sauces. The spicy beef bulgogi was perfect, super flavorful. I also like that there's an open kitchen where you can see the chefs cooking up the food fresh. Lots of seating available and not cramped. read more

When you come here, the hot stone bowl is a non-negotiable. If you order the regular bowl, your food will not come out hot enough. The food is delicious - I recommend the spicy bulgogi with all the toppings in the hot stone bowl. The reason I can't give 5 stars is due to the cleanliness of the restaurant. We had general ideas, but needed help so rather than the kiosks order stations we went straight to the order counter and received wonderful help by the lady there. Food: AMAZING! We had the hot bowl, fried rice, kimchi, various vegetables, bean sprouts, and two fried kimchi dumplings with a fried egg on top. KAPOW GOOD! I added ginger pork for my protein and my wife added BBQ chicken. Iced tea drinks. We both LOVE THIS CAFE, KOREAN STYLE RESTAURANT. LOVELY, GOOD, RELAXING. Nowadays I feel like it is hard to find restaurants that have a specific focus on food. So if you go to this place it is a straight up you like it or not (but trust me you will love it). I also love how healthy the dishes were, that left you FULL and SATISFIED without having to feel gross. I had ordered the Spicy Garlic Pork with Kimchi rice, with all the toppings and a sunny side egg. Let me just say F***ING DELICIOUS, WHOLESOME, and FILLING. The Food does not look like a lot but trust me it is deceiving. Even though I ordered spicy on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give spiciness a 5. It was definitely full of flavor. So I have two cons (which is why I gave them 4/5) about this place (but half of it is because of covid), (1) the place has a cold and uninviting feeling on the inside. Maybe they should decorate or change the color scheme up a bit. (2) Another selling point about this restaurant is that they usually have a salad and soup buffet. But becuase of COVID this isnt being offered anymore. Which dont get me wrong, I completely understand. However the menu prices still remain the same. If they took away the buffet the least the restaurant can do is provide you with personal soups and salads. This place is about to give Shake Shack a run for its money as my favorite fast casual stop. I've driven by this and read reviews and planned on trying to for a year but always put it off in favor of places like Namoo NRH or a drive up to Carrollton. My experience is based on the spicy bulgogi hot stone bowl with brown rice, Japchae, bean sprouts, corn, carrots and of course a sunny side egg. The bowl came out sizzling and I added some Gojuchang sauce and spicy soy to make a delicious combination of tender beef, veggies, runny egg and perfectly marinated tender beef. I felt this was on par with the other great bulgogi dishes I've had in DFW, but the hot stone pot crisping up that rice might have given it the edge. I will be a regular here for sure. read more

Came here with my husband for lunch. I've been wanting to try this place and he had mentioned he liked it when he had it several months ago. Upon walking in, ordering is very straightforward. You choose a rice, a protein and your toppings. Sauce is self-serve at this location (not sure about others). I decided to try the Spiilcy Bulgogi with veggie rice and carrots, kimchi, and scrambled egg (I don't like eggs any other way). My husband ordered the kimchi rice with tofu and all the toppings, including a over medium egg. My food came out fairly quickly after we sat down but we waited a good 8-10 minutes longer for his to come out. I waited to eat mine until he got his food and it was still pretty warm when we got to eat. The portions are very generous so we were able to take half ours home for leftovers. Overall a pretty chill atmosphere and we both really enjoyed the food we ordered. We'll be here again, for sure. read more

Wow! Love the ambiance, quality food and the service. Everyone was very friendly & accommodating. I was not a fan of Korean food, but this place changed that for ever. They include salad & soup bar with beet sweet orange slices. I came in only 45 minutes before they closed at 10 pm, but they didn't rush me, nor treat me as if I was a trouble.
