This place is soo good! I hope they stay open forever. I come here when I'm in town visiting and the food is fresh, hot and flavorful. Nice ambiance too. read more

A lot of delicious food for a good price! The quality and freshness of the food is so good... I get the garlic pork bowl. The pork is sooo tender and cut in such thin pieces it almost melts in your mouth. The signature sauce is so yummy. Calm and cozy little place! Will be going back often read more

Wow! Love the ambiance, quality food and the service. Everyone was very friendly & accommodating. I was not a fan of Korean food, but this place changed that for ever. They include salad & soup bar with beet sweet orange slices. I came in only 45 minutes before they closed at 10 pm, but they didn't rush me, nor treat me as if I was a trouble. The Ribeye Pineapple with everything was super delicious. Good portion for their regular size, even had some left to go. Love this Burning Rice. Try for yourself, you'll agree with me! read more

I was in the restaurant yesterday afternoon, and when I walked in, the first thing I saw , was an Asian man , skinny and wearing glasses, putting what seemed to be a paper towel up his nose, by the food line. It didn't appear like he had any shame in what he was doing, and he DID NOT wash his hands ,when he went to the food line, getting an order together. This is very disturbing and unsanitary!!! I didn't order anything!!! This took place at the restaurant on grapevine highway. read more

Dined here again tonight as it's been several months. Just like my last visit, the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious !!! Worthy of a bookmark and a try for sure !!! read more

Great place for a quick bowl of Bulgogi Bibimbap. Sad to report they no no longer have the complimentary salad bar and soups. The meal does come with a bowl of miso soup but seaweed soup is no longer offered. read more

The food is fresh, cooked perfectly, and delicious. Service is very fast. This place is great.

I really enjoyed my experience here. I am pretty new to Korean cuisine and bulgogi seemed like a good place to start. First off, the place was clean and welcoming. We were greeted upon entry and given a brief run down of ordering procedures. I ordered the spicy bulgogi bowl with all the veg and a fried egg. They have a lovely condiment bar that also has soup. The combination was fantastic. A bit of rice with spicy meat, veg, and a perfectly cooked egg. It was delicious and filling. I do wish I would have gotten the hot stone bowl, as they say it gives the rice a crispy texture on the bottom. I can only see that as a good thing. The ingredients were fresh, the people were friendly, and it was more than enough for lunch. This is a great addition to the Hurst area and I hope they open some more locations. read more

Another great spot for bibimbap in the Hurst area! This location is new and spacious with lots of seating. It was my first time patronizing a Burning Rice and I love the concept: 1. Choose your bowl 2. Choose your rice 3. Choose your meat or tofu 4. Choose your veggies/toppings. Pay at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. Great for an in and out lunch spot. Soups (seaweed and miso) and salad are included with your meal and drinks are self serve. Gochujang and other sauces are located at the salad bar. I love bibimbap and the hot stone bowl is the only way to go. Even if you don't like crispy rice, the stone bowl keeps the dish piping hot which I love. I got the regular bulgogi with steam rice and all the toppings. Once mixed together and with the sauces added, it was perfection. The meat had a nice flavor and all the toppings were individually well prepared. The portion was just right to me as I left there feeling satisfied. Definitely can't wait to come back! read more

Heard about this place from a friend and had to try it out for myself. I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing. It's nice too because if you're craving Korean food, now you don't have to drive as far to the Carrollton area for good Korean food. I got the hot stone bowl while my friend got the regular bowl. The hot stone bowl keeps your food hot for basically the whole meal. It's a great thing, but for me, it was a bit too hot to even eat for awhile in the beginning. I had to wait awhile for the food to cool down so I could eat it but nonetheless, it was delicious. Next time, I'd probably get the regular bowl though. But the experience was cool. I ordered all veggies on mine and it was absolutely amazing. I also added an egg on top and that completed the bowl perfectly. The portion was more than enough to fill me too. I had another whole meal left over and had to take it to go. They also have unlimited salad and soup, which was awesome. Definitely recommend this place! I believe they have several other locations too. read more

Haven't tried the food yet. This review is my initial reaction to the ordering system. The customer does 100% of the work from inputting the order to picking up own utensils, water, and napkins. There is an unstated option that you can go to someone at the counter but no one offered to help or explain the process. Really hard to justify a tip when the patron does everything but bring the food out read more

The food is fine. The atmosphere is fine. The service is fine. If sustenance is what you're looking for, this will hit the spot better than a burger or chicken place. And I'll confess, I go pretty regularly because of that. But that's the only reason. read more

This place used to be everything you would want in a Korean quick serve restaurant. Plenty of options for the bowls and good prices. The corporate office must have decided to squeeze some more money out of the operation by ELIMINATING the hot stone bowls, most protein options and all the egg options. They don't even have kimchi rice anymore!? I feel sorry for the owners of this franchise because I'm sure it's not their fault but I won't ever go here again. read more

If you know me at all from my reviews I'm a sucker for some tacos, and delicious Korean food. That being said. This place did not disappoint. I've said before and I'll say it again, I visited South Korea last summer...and this food was a pretty decent Korean Chipotle! (Stole that from the lady helping us). The food was pretty da bomb.com! The meats were very well marinated and seasoned, portions of the rice bowls were large and well worth the price, and when you order your meal there's a complimentary soup and salad bar (nothing crazy) but still a delicious treat to your meal! The staff was super friendly, answered all questions, and hooked me up with extra kimchi when I annoyingly asked for more. I want to go back and try another 4 meats on the menu...so please Burning Rice, just take all my money. Can't wait to visit again, and thanks for opening so close to me...but more importantly for introducing a new cultural taste to my area! read more

So happy this opened up by mi casa. I LOVE BURNING RICE!! the location is new and clean and beautiful. it's big and has plenty of room for lots of patrons. The food was great. had to get the stone bowl for my dish and i love how it makes all the rice crispy at the bottom :D Can't wait to come back. Everyone needs to visit to keep this place going in the mid-cities area! :D read more

Burning Rice - Yum yum yum - Korean Near Me - Hurst, Texas

I'm so excited that this place finally opened. I love the build your own bowl concept. It's like Chipotle but Korean. The food was delicious. I had the spicy bulgogi bowl with all the vegetables over kimchi fried rice. I had ordered it to go the first time. I was given containers for complementary soup and salad. The seaweed soup was perfect but the miso was super salty. The price of each order starts around $9. Great ambiance and customer service. FYI: try the hot stone, but it's only a dine-in experience. read more

Boyfriend, cousin and I are in town for the weekend and wanted to pick up some food before heading back to the hotel. We ordered 2 hot stone bowls in the restaurant, and asked if we could to-go them (we forgot they come out sizzling). The lady (assuming she's the owner/manager) was sweet enough to bring out the sizzling pots, mix it, and package our food. The food was delicious! Our order: - Mandoo - Sweet honey glazed signature wings - Hot stone bowl 1: kimchi fried rice with bulgogi, all the toppings and a sunny side egg - Hot stone bowl 2: kimchi fried rice with spicy bulgogi, bean sprout, carrot, broccoli, japchae and a sunny side egg read more

Ive been here three times. My last visit , the food was so good i decided to write a review. The miso soup was better than average. The dumplings were better than i expected. The spicy beef , crispy kimchi rice was exeptional. I tried an iced coffee and also very good. The atmosphere is casual and the servers were very good as well. Prices are good . Making it a great value. read more

Went here while we were in Fort Worth area. This was not the first time at burning rice. But it was the first time at this location. The space is huge and clean. We sat in the booths and felt it was placed well and not too close to the other tables. Loved the seating space, spread across so well. Coming to the food, as always I enjoyed my hot chicken pot. Everything was perfect and came out quickly. read more

I had my first visit to this restaurant yesterday afternoon. The dining room was open, and they also offer takeout and delivery. I ordered the hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, and beef with a sunny side up egg on top and the chile paste sauce. It was beautifully presented, extremely hot, and very tasty. Due to COVID 19, there are no seasonings, salt or pepper, or hot sauce on the table. The beverage fountain was open and available for refills of Coca Cola products. Due to the lack of soup and salad bar, the appearance of the interior was very sterile and rather uninviting, but that's not the restaurant's fault. All in all, the food was pretty good - but bring your own salt and pepper! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for ages and I'm so sad I didn't try it sooner. I've been missing out! It was slow when I first walked in but the lunch crowd began arriving shortly after I arrived. The staff is exceptionally helpful with explaining the menu. I order a regular bowl with the spicy chicken and veggie rice (fried) I added almost every topping to my bowl too. While I waited for my lunch I helped my self to a cup of miso soup and a small side salad. The sesame dressing is very good! My food came out quickly and was hot and fresh! I can't wait to return! read more

UPDATE 2.21.24 After getting the manager's response to my review, I did give them another chance and they are BACK! Protein choices, eggs, the sauces. Everything is amazing. I feel like the Hurst location even got better at their cuts of meat. The food being brought to the table in to-go bowls is still weird to me but not a hinderance in any way. Thank you Burning Rice for listening to your reviews. I've actually gone back 3 more times since the initial revisit and it is great everytime. read more

I really don't want to give too glowing a review because selfishly I doesn't end place to become too busy! Great authentic Korean food. My son from Korea, loves to find Korean establishments to frequent and was happy that I discovered this place. This place is up there with Namoo and Jin BBQ. Advice: when you get the "stone bowl", it really keeps your food hot. In fact, if you don't eat it fast enough, the rice gets crunchy. Overall a great dining experience. read more

Taste good Thank you Don't like picking my choices lol I'm lazy . Very nice looking place read more

I LOVED this place pre-COVID because of their complimentary salad and soup bar. I was able to get my veggies in and even throw some into my hot stone bowl to cook as I ate. I came yesterday and there was no one in the restaurant. They took away the salad and soup bar, so that was super disappointing. I got the spicy bulgogi bowl with everything on it which was alright. I remember for togo they used to give extra containers so you'd be able to take some soup or salad home with your meal. They should be able to do that now for dine in and togo since they used covid as an excuse to get rid of that. Definitely not what it used to be. read more

They have a complimentary soup and salad bar which is nice. They also had their sauces on the bar which is convinient. This is gonna be hard because my boyfriend and I both had a different experience. The soups were good, and being complimentary is even better. The salad bar was okay, the veggies need to be cut smaller in my opinion. But still good being its complimentary. They even have orange wedges there as a little dessert. Okay, so the main course the bibimbap. I ordered the spicy garlic pork with white rice on a hot stone bowl with all of the toppings in it. It was delicious. The pork was juicy. It was spicy (not too much, just enough to enjoy). The rice at the bottom had a nice crisp to it towards the end of my meal which i really enjoyed. The gochujang was delicious too (my fave is the spicy one). Now, onto the bbq chicken bibimpab. IT SUCKED. It was dry. I mean, DDRRYYY. It even had a plastic taste to it which wasnt very pleasant at all. Also, my boyfriend just wanted carrots and bean sprouts. I would expect they give him a bit more since he didnt even get an egg. It is the same price if you got all the toppings or none of the toppings, so we just expected a bit more carrots and bean sprouts being the only toppings there. So he wasnt happy about his food at all. This is our first time coming to this restaurant. It was so disappointing because I enjoyed my meal so much that it was painful to watch him eat his terribly dry plasticy chicken. I might come back with some friends (keyword: might) But I know my boyfriend is not gonna spend another dollar at this place with the experience he had. My suggestion? Try it. Just dont get the bbq chicken. read more

Burning Rice has gone from one of my best restaurants to one of the worst. They recently dumbed down the menu to plain vegetables with little to no spices. They went from a good Korean bibimbop restaurant with perfectly spiced food and offered a fried egg on top. How can they call themselves Korean bibimbop? Now they are just bland vegetables in the same bowl. I won't be back. John P read more

Clean, good music, great smells, soup and salad bar with meal, fountain drinks(coke products but also Dr Pepper). Quick service, quick table side delivery, they come and bus the table after you're done. They have some Korean drinks as well available for purchase. The garlic pork was super flavorful and tasty. The bean sprouts were huge and there was a bit too much nori for my liking but I'll just opt to not get that the next time. I really actually enjoyed this place and I'm happy we finally stopped in. The miso is done wonderfully and I look forward to coming back again for the atmosphere and for the food! read more

Love this place! The kimchi has zero soy or gluten, no fish sauce. I got the regular bowl with brown rice, kimchi, and veggies. Was very yummy! Hubby got kimchi rice with bulgogi and loved it. I have been so close to this place for so long without even realizing it, but now that I know where it is and have tried it, I can't wait to go back again! I went with a friend and we both really enjoyed what we got. It's a build-your-own-bowl place, so we got our own preferred add-ons. I got the spicy chicken (it's not super spicy but enough to get a little kick of heat in each bite) and some vegetables and an egg with it. Very good meal overall. Service was very fast, and atmosphere was nice too. Totally recommend if you want to try some good Korean food! read more

Good food meat was yummy. Rice was a little lackluster. Service was decent. Ambience was good. By the way, your kimchi rice really needs more kimchi. Will definitely come back again to try the hot stone bowel. read more

How tf does this place have 4 stars? The only way you could possibly think this tastes good is if your taste buds were burned in a fire. The bulgogi tastes like gas station teriyaki beef jerky. The flavors are fighting with each other and nothing is winning. I paid over $24 and didn't eat more than 4 bites it was so gross. How tf do you mess up kimchi rice and bulgogi? read more

Wow! This place was absolutely out of my comfort zone, but so glad I tried it out! I was afraid they would only have spicy options, but to my surprise they have everything in a non spicy version. I got 3 bowls for the family and the Korean short ribs were the favorite but the crispy pork was also very good! The shrimp were a great size. The potato noodles were so good! I wish there was an option for extra or a side of just the noodles. We ordered off Yelp for pick up, so there may be that option at the store. Only complaint would be that we didn't nearly enough soy sauce. The small bowl was filling, but the large bowl would definitely be the one to get if you have a large appetite. Will definitely order from here again! read more

Very good food. The crunchy chicken bites are my favourite! I wish there was a little more options for the bowls but I also like keeping it easy and simple. The Thai tea is also delicious! read more

So.. with one of my recent obsessions being Korean dramas. And visiting my partners family down in Texas, being a very Korean state. I had to get my fill of dolsot bimbibap. With that we ended up going to burning rice. It reminds me of a panera feel where you walk up. Order. They give you a number and with your meal order. BUT (best part.)you get unlimited miso and salad. Boom! I know it isnt too hard to make miso but that's pretty freaking awesome. Am I right? I had a traditional dolsot bimbibap. (You pick what you want in your bowl.) Overall I really liked thos place and will come back. It's super affordable. The food is good. And the unlimited soup and salad is pretty bombtastic. Bottom line: I will come back again, and hopefully this will be a regular spot for me. read more
