Alright now, this place is a gem! I work with someone who raves about this place, and I finally decided to try it. Walking in, the young lady at the register was so sweet and pleasant. I had an online order and arrived a bit early, she politely let me know there would be a little wait, and I did not mind. I would, much rather wait, than walk in twenty minutes early to see my food just sitting there. It is a small space, but one that comes with warmth. What I chose: Mixed Plate Teriyaki Beef - The first bite, YES! The meat was seasoned so well, I was afraid the teriyaki sauce would overtake the flavor; it didn't. Both, the sauce and the seasoning complemented each other very well. The beef was thinly sliced and free of fat. I can't stand enjoying a bite, and out of nowhere, boom, a piece of fat. I'm not a beef person, but I'm so happy I tried something different. Hamburger Steak: I couldn't wait to try this, it's delicious! The patty is plenty and well seasoned; it isn't heavily seasoned, but well seasoned. It was juicy and not dried out, which sometimes happens. The gravy was perfect, and went perfectly with the meat patty. Next time, I will ask for more gravy and onions. I love grilled onions with meat patties. With my order, I asked for steamed veggies, but received rice instead. I don't eat rice often, but this is the one time I was happy with the mishap. I had a small bit with the gravy and patty, delicious!! Sides: Mac Salad and Rice - I didn't order rice; instead, it should have been steamed veggies. As I said above, the rice ended up being a great mishap; it was perfect with my meat patty and gravy. The mac salad, sadly, I didn't like. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't hit the right taste buds. Chocolate Mac Nut Cheesecake: I only tasted a spoonful of this, but it was good. I wouldn't get it again, for me, it was too sweet. They do have another cheesecake, which looks like a plain cheesecake, with a sauce on top. That, I will try. Spam Musubi: There seems to be more rice than what I am used to, so I cut it in half, and it made for the perfect bite. This was more than enough food; I have plenty to take to work for lunch and will have more to enjoy for dinner. I am so happy I visited. I will definitely visit periodically for a hamburger steak, and I am anxious to try their panko shrimp. Add them to your list, it is a must!! read more

It's so cutely decorated inside and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I felt the kindness once I walked in. They get a lot of online orders so they were busy with that, but I didn't mind because I was checking out the menu. I got the bento box and it was delicious. Came here for the first time for a Hawaii gathering this past weekend. Being born and raised from Hawaii, it was super nice to see fellow locals thriving in this area. I've tried many Hawaiian dishes and a lot were mediocre and/or below average, especially the poke (raw fish), but this place, was on point for sure. We ordered the kalbi plate, mixed plate (garlic chicken and bbq chicken plate), both the Hawaiian poke and spicy ahi poke, spam musubi, and a piece of Chantilly cake. The garlic chicken are in chicken wing form which isn't the normal cuts, but the flavor was the same exact way I remember it from home. The kalbi and mac salad was on point. The bbq chicken was ok. The spam musubi was the best that I had here in TX. The spicy ahi poke was more flavorful of the 2 pokes. Chantilly cake was amazing. They also sell a lot of other desserts, snacks, and Hawaii canned juices. Highly recommended. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lots of tables to dine on. Came here today on 1/14 around 2:30PM, the place is tucked away on Harwood Rd. As soon as you walk in, everything is Hawaii and pineapple themed, along with the jams playing. Since we found this place on Yelp, everything looked so good we didn't know what to order. The very nice lady at the front counter offered suggestions as well as answered all of our questions. She was from Hawaii so I trusted her judgment, and asked her if this was her favorite Hawaiian food place. She said yes because it was the most authentic. I asked her what her favorite was and she said the mixed plate with crispy garlic chicken and teri beef, so we ordered a plate of that. We also ordered the Lava fries and they had a Teriyaki Tuesday special going on, and I do love my specials so I had to give that a try! The first thing we dipped our forks into was their Mac salad, and my bf really liked it. He said it tasted authentic, and I agreed. It wasn't your typical refrigerated Mac salad but authentic like it's made every morning, especially the texture of it. The Lava Fries were also bomb, the teriyaki beef on the fries were very flavorful and tender, and the crinkle fries was the cherry on top because it retained its crispness. The teriyaki chicken was good as well, I enjoyed the charred flavors seared into the chicken. The crispy garlic chicken wings were really good, I could smell the garlic as she was bringing my food to the table. I loved that they served a pineapple slice with everything. And they had a good selection of beverages and desserts. I didn't get to try their desserts this time but for sure looking forward to it next time. My bf had their pineapple soda, which I tried and thought it was tasty and not syrupy which is how I prefer my sodas. They have a bus out in front of their place so they might offer catering but I forgot to inquire. Overall, we can't wait to come back and try other menu items! This place is fine, they have a discounted chicken teriyaki deal on Tuesdays and it is about what you'd expect. The mixed veggies are essentially steamed broccoli with some slices of red bell pepper. The macaroni salad was a bit bland in my opinion. I also expected some carrots like a traditional Hawaiian macaroni salad and there were no carrots, but did have some bits of celery. My biggest "first world problem" gripe about the chicken teriyaki though is that it's basically the same flavor and quantity as the chicken teriyaki at Panda Express. So yes it tastes good, but nothing really differentiates it from anywhere else except for a small slice of pineapple that comes with each entree. read more

This is a Hawaiian spot in a strip mall in Hurst. Not far from the highway. Although I wouldn't consider this "authentic" Hawaiian food, it's pretty damn good if you ask me. I thoroughly enjoyed the garlic wings. They're lightly breaded and crispy and soaks the sauce right up. Even ordered again, to go and it was still fresh and crispy when I got home 20 mins away. The garlic shrimp is also tasty but the portion is 6 or 8 shrimp so not very filling. Their macaroni salad and butter mochi were also pretty tasty! Check this place out for a quick bite to eat. I'm rating Pineapple Grill based on their catering for my church (Uncommon Church in EULESS)! So we were given the choice of chicken or pork bowl, or just chicken. My bowl of choice was the PORK. It was cooked just right, served warm, the flavor was kind of sweet but not overly so. My kiddo even enjoyed it and she doesn't normally eat shredded meat. The rice was plain but there were green onion topped that gave it a hint of salt, perfect for me (I don't need to be sweeping up from too much salt intake haha)! Sadly that is not the case, i ordered the Maui Maui with veggies and their macaroni you get two sides with your main dish. my fish was cold and the veggies were also cold and they didn't have seasoning. I was born and raised in Kauai and moved up to Texas for my job I was working at the time. Being from Hawaii, you always miss home, whether it be the ocean, or the food and in my case it was definitely the food. There's places like Hawaiian Bros out there but they don't really capture the soul and vibe of Hawaiian cuisine like Pineapple Grill did for me. I still remember having the Kalua and chicken and having spicy poke too and the flavors and taste brought me right back to home. I moved back to Kauai now but looking to move back to Texas once again, and when I do, this is my go to. I've been coming to this restaurant quite a bit since moving to TX several months ago, and it's become one of my absolute favorite local spots. This is truly a hidden gem! My family and I love a good Hawaiian food place and this one is by far the cutest yet tastiest place around. Located near a neighborhood but still on a major road, this place doesn't seem like much until you want inside. I've never been to Hawaii but it certainly makes you feel like you are near the coast! The food is truly authentic and you can tell they take care and consideration within their menu choices. Amazing! Ono grindz! We are from California and I have family who are Hawaiian. Since we moved here we wanted to find authentic Hawaiian food. Pineapple grill absolutely did that for us. We stopped in for a late lunch last Saturday so it wasn't very busy. In my mind I was going to get the Loco Moco, but the BBQ caught my eye instead. My wife got the same along with some spam masubi. My daughters ordered the chicken marsh. The portions were large, food was fresh. Although a little far from our place we are definitely coming back. kept it simple and got a spam musubi and a order of the loco moco. i decided to eat there, and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. When i ordered the loco moco, the cashier asked how i'd like the eggs, and to be honest i didn't know there was any other way to eat a loco moco without sunny side up on top of the patty/gravy. The loco moco was very tasty and filling. I couldn't finish the whole dish, and i was glad i asked for a take out box. The rice went very well with the gravy and the patty was cooked well. The spam musubi was also simple, but tasty. I think i could eat spam musubi all day long. spam + rice = win. when i went, it was fairly empty inside, and considering its located in a large strip plaza, there is plenty of parking out in front. i didn't need to use the bathroom, but i did see a wall of spam in the hallway leading to the bathroom. reminds me or something that andy warhol would've made/produced. read more
