Came to try the crawfish which was good, but not the best. It's a good spot to try if you don't want to make the trip to Arlington, Carrollton, or Dallas for better crawfish. We got the tamarind snails which were way too sweet and tangy. It was really hard to eat them with all of the sauce, which is very potent. I don't know how anyone can enjoy eating them. This establishment was recently opened where Bun Bo Hue Duc Chuong was previously located. The decor is the same but the menu has been revamped because now there's seafood such as crawfish and cooked oysters along with various other items. We decided to try two pounds of medium spicy crawfish, which we asked to have come out after our orders of combination pho and bun bo hue... but it ended up coming out first to our dismay. The crawfish overall was satisfying but overly spicy for medium. They were seasoned and cooked well although because it's not crawfish season they were all kind of small. The pho was a whole different story. It came out deconstructed, broth and meatballs in one bowl, raw beef on a plate with onions, and the pho noodles came out cooked but on a separate plate. It was quite different. I would have been okay with it if the broth wasn't so sweet and if the combination pho had more meat in it. For the price of $9.50/bowl and only coming in medium I honestly don't think it was worth it. Even the bun bo hue was too sweet and missing the taste of lemongrass. It is right next to our favourite oriental market, Nguyen Loi, that we have been going to for our grocery needs for years now. We decided that today was the day we would sit down and try the food here. Our food was ready within 30 minutes. The hostess was polite. The best part of the meal was the spring rolls with pork and shrimp, which were absolutely delicious. The peanut sauce is different than what I'm used to from Thai food places. The flat noodle soup was delicious, well seasoned. This is our first time eating Vietnamese food. We were surprised to see that the rice was different, and yummy. The hostess explained that Vietnamese do not usually use basil, and it's a shame, because it would have really awoken that fried rice. My whole meal only cost 20.00, what a deal. read more

I wanted to try this place because it was close to my apartment and had good reviews. I'm a food addict and especially in seafood. I grew up eating seafood! (Ordered takeout, ordered at the restaurant and waited for it to be cooked).I should've known it was bad because when I walked in to order,a table that had ordered the crawfish didn't even finish theirs. Looked like 3-4 lbs between 2 guys. All I can say is this is the most disappointing seafood I've ever eaten (quality-wise).First of all, it was $9.50 per pound for the crawfish, $36-$38 for the snow crab. Not sure how much for the potatoes or sausage but it had said in the menu 2 potato or 2 sausage for $1.50. Anyways, it all came out to $60 something, close to $70. I also asked the cashier if he had live crawfish or frozen. He said live and it was cook to order. The crawfish was dry, there was no juice in the head like fresh and live cooked crawfish usually has, the meat was tough and it was hard to peel. It's like the crawfish was cooked earlier in the day, refrigerated and they just threw it back in the pot to reheat. The snow crab was the worst. The meat was dry, crumbly, not sweet ,and had a weird almost sour and bitter aftertaste. They gave me a bunch of little tiny crab legs that wasn't even worth trying to break open and eat. Flavor wise,mostly taste like garlic, with little spice, and sweetness to it. Cashier didn't ask what flavor or spice level I wanted, so I assumed they had only one. Flavor didn't matter as much because I usually make my own seafood dipping sauce at home. But eh, I'll take the extra 20 min drive to crab station for some seafood. I love spending money on food but regret spending money on food that isn't worth it. Their other food might be good, but DEFINITELY NOT THE Crawfish or snow crab legs. I checked on Ubereats and Grubhub for the price.It's actually more expensive at the restaurant than the online apps. Maybe it hasn't been updated. I'm not sure. Best thing about this place is the bowl they serve pho broth in. It's like the bowls that Korean joints serve tofu soup in and it's always brought to the table boiling. Keeps the broth steaming hot the entire time you eat it. And I've never seen any other place serve the components separately. The noodles are brought hot on a plate with some scallions sprinkled on top. The sliced filet beef is on another plate and sliced yellow onions on that. You can put as little or much of the noodle as you want, and everything stays really hot. We've been here 3x in the past 3 wks and the first 2x the broth wasn't brought to us boiling. It was boiling this 3rd time and it was just too hot. The bowl kept the broth super hot the whole time, so we did a good deal of blowing the noodles to cool it off enough to eat. We like their crawfish too. They always ask if you want spicy, I guess that's the default. We ask for medium and that's spicy enough for us. We also tried the crab rangoons today. Eight to an order and the shell is super crisp. Served with what looked like a pinkish mayo-based sauce, maybe mayo + ketchup? Not sure but I saw black pepper in it. The cream cheese filling has a lot of the imitation krab in it and scallions. The filling wasn't sweet at all, which was a nice change from all the other Chinese places that serve crab rangoons with no krab and just sugar sweet cream cheese filling. My fiancé has also ordered the bun bo hue here before. Crawfish 7 replaced the Duc Chuong Bún Bo Hue, and BBH was their specialty. Crawfish 7's BBH is not same as DC's, but broth was still really flavorful. Also not as big as Bowl as DC's serving, but I'm okay with a medium bowl. Definitely recommend this place if you like your pho to stay super hot your whole meal. Broth is flavorful and we don't find it to be sweet, unlike another review I read. My fiancé is really picky about pho broth and hates it to be sweet and he approves. Would come here again and again. read more
