    Bun bo hue

Surprisingly good pho close to Fort worth. Asian food is usually lacking near the Fort Worth area, so I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the pho here. I had a bun bo hue. The kitchen is generous on the pork blood tofu and meat compared to noodles. Thats a plus in my books. Only complaint is of the attitude of the young waitress that works here. The elderly staff, who are probably the owners, are more than polite.

We discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try since we were in the area. It's a small, family-owned, hole-in-the-wall establishment. We visited for a late Sunday lunch, so it wasn't too crowded. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and a combo pho, and both dishes arrived promptly. The Bun Bo Hue was decent, with a strong shrimp sauce flavor, although it lacked complexity and lemongrass. I particularly enjoyed the rice noodles and the freshness of the pork blood in the soup. The pho, on the other hand, surpassed the Bon Bo Hue with its rich beefy flavor and generous portions of sliced beef. I suspect this place is better known for takeout orders and large family orders to go. I noticed they were preparing a massive tray of fried rice for a customer that could easily feed around 20 people. All in all, not a bad little spot.

Was was the best, we had both egg rolls and spring rolls, followed by spicy beef noodle soup that had a delicious broth which didn't need any added flavor to it just the veggies it comes with. And the stir fried noodles with beef. To drink I ordered a sweet tea and I loved it as well because it wasn't too sweet or bitter it was perfect tea. Service was great as well. The ambiance was perfect because me and my friend were looking for a place that wasn't so loud but felt cozy and homelike.

Great place to eat!!! Food was so fairly priced and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend and I got spring rolls, banh mi, a soup dish and a rice dish. Everything came out great

Mom and I came here for lunch. Nice little place in a shopping center with plenty of parking spaces. Service was fast. Mom and I both ordered the small pho dac biet which is pho with everything. The small was huge! Lots of noodles, broth and meat. I barely could finish it. I cannot imagine how big their large size would have been. Broth was flavorful! I will definitely be back!

The Grilled Pork Sandwich is the best besides from Pho. It has this crunchy sound and taste on their bread, the pork Barbeque is tender and has a juicy flavor, the carrots, onions and the cucumber makes the taste even and hydrating. The only part that I dislike is the Jalapeño and the Parsley. I remove the Jalapeño because I cannot take spicy foods but if you can, I would recommend tasting it. The Egg Noodles Stir Fried with Seafood Combination taste fantastic. Not too salty and not too oily either, the ringed shaped Squid makes it enjoyable to eat, the fish ball's isn't tasty but they are mushy when you chew it, the Egg Noodles is the best part of it, the carrots are too thick and I'm not fan of wedge slices that much, the broccoli is part of the noodles, the shrimp & imitation crab makes it enjoyable to eat too. Tip: If you're allergic to crustaceans, you can always request to remove the shrimp & crab. The Pork Spring Rolls is the best for appetizers, the Peanut Butter Sauce makes the Spring Rolls taste better, the Pork is tender and juicy as the Grilled Pork Sandwich, and the wrap is not too hard to eat. The vermicelli noodles is packed in exact amount and not too bloated. The Thai Tea with Black Grass Jellies is a good alternative for Boba Tea. The jelly are so chewy and it is enjoying to chew. The Milk Tea taste delicious, not too much sugar and not too much milk, all of the two ingredients are balanced. Tip: If you are lactose intolerant, I would recommend drinking later when at home. About the restaurant: The restaurant is run by a family business and the service is always great. Foods and food presentation is always exceptional. The ambience is not that great but it does the job on keeping the restaurant running. Restaurant is warm inside (depending on the weather especially on hotter days), sometimes you couldn't feel the AC running but ceiling fans help air circulation. There's some Asian furniture you would see at the Cashier. The restroom isn't bad, not too fancy, no hand dryer just hand paper towels, automatic paper towel dispenser may be out of order sometimes but paper towel is placed near the sink just-in-case.

I've been on a Vietnamese kick lately, not sure why. A few weeks ago it was a Mediterranean kick with Greek and Lebanese food and plenty of hummas. I had not eaten Vietnamese food in quite some time and then I stumbled upon a food truck in Denton and the food has been firmly represented the past two weeks. Todays venture brought me to the "Little Asia" area of E. Belknap again. I was actually looking for some Chinese food, and found a Chinese BBQ place, but they were cash only so I was SOL. Right next door sat Pho Thien Y. In actuality there are several Pho places within this little strip mall, so I had a selection. I had pho the other day and a bahn mi last week so I tried some bun/ vermicelli. For those that have been I tried #610 In House Special Dish (Bun Dac Biet). It had grilled pork, grilled chicken, shredded pork skin, shrimp and an egg roll. Lots of vermicelli, carrots, daikon and cucumbers and plenty of cilantro too, add many, many textures to this meal. It came with some hot sauce and a clear yellow tinted sauce to pour over the noodles. Like most all Asian places, they give you enough food to feed two. The noodles were great, daikon and carrots pickled nicely and all the proteins were sweet with soy and ginger and grilled. I will admit that the pork skin was a little off putting to me, but it's a new thing for me. Overall, a really nice place, very quiet, but I was there pretty late and I do believe I'd like to get back there to grab a bahn mi for only $2.77. Wow. Enjoy

Egg rolls. Can't beat the price! 2 for $1.85

The pho here is authentic and plentiful! The best pho you can get in Tarrant County! The spring rolls are top notch too! Highly recommend!

They have a produce section, a fish market, they sell a lot of food and even chinaware. We walked the whole market and even though we did not find the snacks he was looking for we found some glass noodles that I had really been wanting to try to cook on my own. They have about 5 lanes. But the amount of people in the store compared to the lanes resulted into a pretty long line. We stood in line for about 10 minutes and only ended up buying the noodles. Well, when we got to the register, we found out that you have to buy $10 worth of items to use your credit or debit card. Thankfully, I had a little bit of cash on me or we would have been standing in line for nothing. In the future, we will only stop by if we have cash and if we don't have anywhere to be, because we may have to stand in line for a while.

I used to trek far to Arlington for groceries but I'm so glad I've discovered this local gem and have been coming here since. The highlight of the grocery store is the fresh herbs, mushrooms, and produce. Most herbs are sold by bunch around $1.39 or so and I could not find these herbs anywhere at the chain groceries. I've been able to cook canh chua, lau, pho, bun rieu, etc thanks to this grocery store. A few other things available on the weekend include the roasted pork, duck, and banh mi. Along the check out line, a few pre-made meals are made as well as banh bao (kept hot in a steamer shelf). While the store is old and could be better well maintained, I'm really appreciative of all the Asian spices and veggies I wouldn't be able to obtain otherwise. The aunties who work at the checkout station are very kind and helpful (having given me some tips on which brands of dried goods to buy, advice on cooking, etc).
