Every restaurant definitely has its strengths and this one is good at bun bo hue and its pork rice dishes. The pho is okay but the bo luc lac is definitely unexpected. We recently came and my parents ordered the rice dish with all the meats, a great variety and definitely filling. The pork flavors were balanced and everything paired well together. The pho was not bad. The bo luc lac was heavily seasoned and very very spicy being cooked with fresh jalapeño and onions. This is different from the traditional way its cooked and would have been fine if it wasn't sooooo salty. I finished all the rice and didn't even eat much of the meat, it was just way too salty and spicy. The Grilled Pork Sandwich is the best besides from Pho. It has this crunchy sound and taste on their bread, the pork Barbeque is tender and has a juicy flavor, the carrots, onions and the cucumber makes the taste even and hydrating. The only part that I dislike is the Jalapeño and the Parsley. I remove the Jalapeño because I cannot take spicy foods but if you can, I would recommend tasting it. The Egg Noodles Stir Fried with Seafood Combination taste fantastic. Not too salty and not too oily either, the ringed shaped Squid makes it enjoyable to eat, the fish ball's isn't tasty but they are mushy when you chew it, the Egg Noodles is the best part of it, the carrots are too thick and I'm not fan of wedge slices that much, the broccoli is part of the noodles, the shrimp & imitation crab makes it enjoyable to eat too. Tip: If you're allergic to crustaceans, you can always request to remove the shrimp & crab. The vermicelli noodles is packed in exact amount and not too bloated. The Thai Tea with Black Grass Jellies is a good alternative for Boba Tea. The jelly are so chewy and it is enjoying to chew. The Milk Tea taste delicious, not too much sugar and not too much milk, all of the two ingredients are balanced. Tip: If you are lactose intolerant, I would recommend drinking later when at home. About the restaurant: The restaurant is run by a family business and the service is always great. Foods and food presentation is always exceptional. I had pho the other day and a bahn mi last week so I tried some bun/ vermicelli. For those that have been I tried #610 In House Special Dish (Bun Dac Biet). It had grilled pork, grilled chicken, shredded pork skin, shrimp and an egg roll. Lots of vermicelli, carrots, daikon and cucumbers and plenty of cilantro too, add many, many textures to this meal. It came with some hot sauce and a clear yellow tinted sauce to pour over the noodles. Like most all Asian places, they give you enough food to feed two. The noodles were great, daikon and carrots pickled nicely and all the proteins were sweet with soy and ginger and grilled. I will admit that the pork skin was a little off putting to me, but it's a new thing for me. The food here is fine. Pho is pretty good, rolls are decent, and I love the fact I can order a kid size bowl. Service is ok. Decor is standard. My biggest complaint? The restaurant is FILTHY. Floor, walls, tables. We couldn't even find a place to sit because every single spot was covered in mess! We went to what seemed to be the only clean booth to discover black gunk all over it. While we stood there not knowing what to do, a little boy no older than six maybe, came over with a bottle of cleaner and a rag and wiped off the table. And believe it, it wouldn't have been up to any health inspector's standard. That same boy spent the rest of the time playing on a tablet in the corner. We were here for an hour and not ONCE did anyone clean a table off. When we left, the same nine tables were still piled high with used bowls, food, glasses, and napkins. So gross.
