I gave Ying a very low rating 6 years ago, and because I can't delete or revise my former review I will write another. While the looks of this restaurant haven't changed, the cleanliness factor and taste of the food has completely improved! Our dishes were hot, flavorful, fresh with generous portions. The place looked clean and tidy and there were no more grimy condiments on the table. Our server was friendly and the price was right!

Should've done a side-by-side, but it was only me. Lol. The fish was exquisite. The heat was also good. This dish pairs really well with rice; I also enjoy taking the leftovers home, letting them sit overnight in the fridge, and enjoying with more rice. Mmm! But I am from out of town and was alone, so I ate it all there. They don't have WiFi, but there was some "guest Frontier" WiFi that was good for an hour. (And you can refresh it each hour.) Next time, I would try the "Szechuan Boiled Fish." Or if that's too much, the Mapo Tofu. The radio was playing like Christian soul; new to me, but as a Christian, I didn't mind. =) Oh, and in the pic I have my Kefir from Trader Joe's. I wanted something dairy to counter the heat, if needed. Mmm.

I placed an online…read moreorder for the two chicken egg rolls, Spicy chili wontons, general Tso chicken and an order of fried rice flat noodles. All the food was on the expensive side, but I heard it was good, so I didn't mine. One of the first thing I noticed was the entrees do not come with rice. There is a $1 up charge for white rice and $3 for fried rice, $5 for noodles. I have never experienced a Chinese restaurant that charged for white rice with an entree (not even PF Chang). I arrived 10 minutes after the time I was told my food would be ready. I checked in at the register and was told it would be another 5 minutes. I was told to have a seat and wait. Since there is no place to sit when waiting for a take out order, I sat down in the closet booth next to the register. After about 1 minute, a very rude lady came over in broken English and screamed that I could not sit there. I told her I was waiting on a to-go order and she just kept screaming "you don't can sit there", so I got up and stood by the front door. If my food had not already been paid for, I would have left after that rude encounter. The ambiance of the restaurant is very strange as they had a boombox loudly playing 80s music. It was so load, I felt bad for the customers who were eating at there. No way you could enjoy siting there listening to the annoying loud music while you ate. About 5 minutes later (15 minutes past the time they originally told me it would be ready) my food was ready. The food did come out very hot. I retrieved my food and took it home to enjoy. Overall the food is very basic and not worth the elevated price. The egg rolls were over fried and greasy. The spicy wonton were very bland and not spicy at all. The general Tso chicken was not good. Very small pieces of chicken, over breaded and a bland sauce. Again not spicy at all. The fried flat rice noodles were the biggest disappointment. Mushy noodles that were all stuck together. Not good at all. Overall the Noodle Works was a big disappointment. There are so many better option in the area (Dragon House or the Wok). Do yourself a favor and skip the rude staff Noodle Works.

The R10 "Crispy Philadelphia Roll" completely stole the show. IT WAS AMAZING. It made me smile on the first taste. Not many places do that to people. The other rolls I had were also delicious. The red Thai curry was particularly enjoyable, rich in flavor and well-prepared, though I would personally request a higher spice level next time to better suit my taste. The only other thing I would change is if the crab Rangoon were a little more crispy, to me they had a little harder (stale almost) shell than normal, but the crab was awesome on the inside. One of the standout aspects of this restaurant is the impressive variety on the menu, offering something for everyone regardless of preference. Overall, the combination of quality food, diverse options, and outstanding service made for a memorable visit. I look forward to returning in the future.

I was blown away by their foods. I ordered the house pho and fresh spring rolls. They gave me a free egg roll due to a lunch special. The spring rolls were so fresh and had a good ratio of veggies, shrimp, pork, and noodles. The egg roll was really crispy and the fillings inside was amazing. The pho! I love their broth. Very clean and light with good beef flavor. Does not taste artificial! Some pho broth I had were either too oily or too savory for my taste. This broth does not feel heavy. The pho does not skimp out on noodles and meat. Portions were balanced and I appreciate the huge noodle size for a regular size pho. Prices makes sense in each meal! This place is worth it. The atmosphere was very clean and well maintained. I have two cons: They clean the tables themselves so a couple of tables still had plates on the when we arrived and when we left they still weren't picked up. The only other con was the menu is a little difficult to follow so you will probably have lots of questions while your ordering if your not familiar with this type of food. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. With the ramen, you have the option to customize the type of ramen bowl they offer along with different soup bases. I was happy to see they had a garlic ramen with tonkatsu soup option. There's also a variety of appetizers, rice bowls, other noodle dishes, and desserts. They even have Korean street foods such as tteokbokki, pancakes and buldak stir-fried noodles. Along with my ramen, I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken karaake. The texture of the meat tasted like a meatball or ground chicken. While I liked the ramen in general, the soup was a bit on the salty side and that's coming from someone who likes her food salty. My friend didn't think so and literally slurped her bowl to the last drop. I will likely return to try other items on the menu, especially with it being so close to home. It's nice to have a ramen option nearby. They also offer bingsu which looks to be a smaller to-go version that looks interesting to try.
