Walking in and the place is super clean. The staff were somewhat friendly.this was my first time, they didn't offer to take my order or explain the menu to me. Carb Rangoon fried perfectly with super good flavor. (This is must order) Pork lo-mein was good. The noodles and vegetables had great flavor. The pork most definitely lacked flavor and was super dry. Mongolian chicken is most definitely an onion heavy dish. Aside from that the chicken was grilled extremely well with great flavor. Orange chicken stole the show. Read the previous reviews and thought this looks good. Well, it's not really a dine in place although there are tables and chairs. The picture online is generous. It's a walk up to the counter and order, take away, kind of place. You can also order via the iPad thing at the door. There was a lot of people coming in and picking up take out so I thought maybe this was good. Our combo fried rice was nice. The beef lo mein ordered was ok. Just ok. A little spicy. I had the Mongolian chicken with brown rice. It comes with 1 egg roll, but that would have made me sad, so I ordered 2 more. It was excellent, a little sweet with a little heat. Spicier might have been "nicier" (couldn't resist the rhyme), but there was a passable amount of heat. The egg rolls were great. The service was very friendly, but busy, even though the place didn't have a lot of diners. Maybe delivery orders. I will say this: the first year or so when I went there did not compare well to the facility as it is now. The place looks very well maintained. Sigh . . . Sadly today, y'all failed me. I walked in and the restaurant is clean and there is plenty of tables inside should you choose to sit down. I walked up to the counter and was asked if I was picking up. I told her no, I needed to order. I went with the lunch special which included a soup & a spring roll. I asked about how long and she informed me about 10 minutes. Within 10 minutes me food was ready and there was PLENTY of food for less than $10 however for me, that's where the good part ended. I'm sure there is someone who will tell me that Orange chicken is suppose to taste like that however I've ordered orange chicken numerous times and this was coated in a heavy thick sweet sauce and that's all I could taste. So if sweet is your thing, you may enjoy it, but for me it was a no. The hot and sour soup hit all of the sour, where it was hard to get past a few spoon fulls. I ended up adding a packet of soy sauce to try to balance the flavor but it still didn't have that lunch that other hot & sour soups have (I will add that I personally don't like soup but this soup is my one that I eat when I'm not feeling well or just in general so I've had my fair share of hot & sour soup). The spring roll was good and I maybe should have gotten the fried rice for more flavor. I dont think ive ever been more resentful of that mandatory one star in my life. Why is it so impossible these days to get good chinese takeout? Nothing over the top, superior quality, made in house (although that would be fantastic) but really; i just need it to meet the expectations of standard, across the board chinese-according-to-american-people takeout. My nephew said his was good; he seemed neither thrilled nor disappointed and he ate it all but hes 19 and goes to the gym a lot and he ate the experiment i concocted the night before and said it was ok and i know he had to just be hungry and polite because nope. So i cant trust his judgement. And neither should anyone else when it comes to Red Panda. Sesame chicken is my go to. Ive never had it THIS BAD. NEVER. it was straight up soggy. Every piece of chicken was the texture of cereal that had been left sitting in milk for over an hour. And its supposed to be fried and crispy. And idk what to call this; but you know when u get any kind of fried chicken like all chinese restaurants serve; general tso, orange, sesame; and they all come from a bag in the freezer ? Its usually not good quality chicken. Dark meat but the worst parts of it and its not fat, its not bone, maybe gristle that was waaayy overcooked and you cant even chew it cause its so hard ? Bottom of the bag, lowest grade, barely even actual chicken type of terrible. And every bite i had that wasnt steamed rice was like that. And then the sauce. Traditional sesame chicken sauce is usually the same no matter where you go. Even when its not at a Traditional chinese takeout place. This was not. It was dark and lacked the sweetness sesame chicken has. Im not altogether certain it even had sesame seeds in it, now that i think about it. The steamed rice was ok. That was the only part that was edible. The spring roll that came with it was soggy too and almost no filling whatsoever and the size of a tube of lipstick and about the same diameter. You can get great value brand chinese food from the freezer section at wal mart and its awful too but its 5 star dining compared to this crap and its $5-7 bucks vs $14 that this was. I couldnt in good conscience even charge for this. And id feel guilty giving it to someone for free. I wouldnt serve this to my dog. Its that bad. And they have the nerve to name their restaurant after a cute animal. read more

Orange chicken was tough, a dog would have thought it was a bone. Went in with a coupon. Coupon only took $2 off of the bill which was a few dollars short from $30!!! I'll stick to Pei Wei or Panda Express both that are down the street from this nasty place. Even those places honor their guests by putting the food on plates instead of cheap made to go containers (even for customers who are eating the food there at the establishment). I ordered General Tso's chicken which I've tended to like at any Chinese place. I expected to get heavily fried chicken chunks in sauce which were as much fried coating as they were chicken. I thought I wanted that. However, what I got was less heavily fried and more tender tasty fresh chicken. The sauce was just as good, but usually I can't taste the chicken as much as I can taste the fried coating. This is probably a healthier version and surprisingly I liked it. I don't like rice much so I asked if I could get some veggies instead. He asked what veggies I had in mind, and I expressed openness to options. They gave me a nice mix of squash, peppers, carrots and onions if I recall correctly. It was nice and way better than rice. I came to this restaurant while waiting in the queue for the cheap pet vaccinations at the TCAP clinic nearby. Everything was hot and fresh. The chicken wasn't super duper flavorful but it was good if you had a piece with a lot of sauce. And the pieces were actual chunks of chicken not mystery crunch meat like you get at so many other places. The egg rolls were also delicious. There was plenty of food for my husband and I to split a meal and even have some left for lunch the next day. It took 10 mins to drive there and it was ready to go. No complaints there. The staff was friendly and everything looked clean. The food was decent. The sesame chicken was crispy and tasted great. My Lo mein came with an egg roll. Both were bland though. That was a little disappointing (but leftovers tasted better). The crawfish roll....no thanks. The sushi rice didn't have any flavor. Quality varies dramatically depending on how busy they are. Generally ok when they are not too busy, but drops significantly when they het a crowd. Egg rolls are good, pepper steak has been both excellent and mediocre on orders a week apart. I like Kung Pao Chicken and Shrimp both, but again quality varies. Their Hot & Sour soup is the best I have had in this area, although it could be hotter and sourer. Shrimp (or Chicken) with Garlic Sauce is particularly good. The dishes marked 'spicy' tend to be pretty mild. Everything is served in take-out containers, so if the generous serving exceeds your capacity all you need to do is close the container and be on your way. Ambience - well, you cant have everything.
