I like Salata overall, and I'll give this place another try. I was just a bit frustrated with my pickup order today. It's been awhile since I've ordered online and I didn't know Salata had an online order pickup area now. So I go in and sit at a nearby booth expecting the currently-empty pickup area to have my order put in it shortly. It was lunch rush, and they were hopping, so I expected a bit of a wait. After my 13 minute pickup window comes and goes, I decide to stand near the shelves looking purposeful in case I can get someone's attention. When I do so, an employee calls out asking if I have a pickup. Turns out my order had been waiting at the register end of their very long assembly line for who knows how long. How was I supposed to know? Why have an online order area if you're not going to use it? It felt like I had to a regular to know this magical info. Salata - My suggestion would be to fill in your online order shelving with something else useful and stick an "Online Pickup" ceiling sign over the registers so people know where to go. They were amazing. They gave great recommendations on what to get. I tried the chicken tortillas soup and it was so flavorful had a tiny kick but very delicious. I will try the tomato soup next time. Meh. It's no Cava. I paid almost $18 for my salad and was hungry an hour later. They just don't have the same toppings with substance, and their meat portion is a joke. I almost wondered if I accidentally ordered a kids meal! I do love a good salad, but there are better options available even just within Glade Parks. read more

This is an awesome low-carb option! The food and concept is fresh, feels like 2023. Service is mediocre BUT this location is new so I'm being generous. The employees seem unbothered and slow every time I've gone. But I can't expect much more. Ambiance is fresh and clean. You will pay for it though. Get ready to drop $15 on a salad without a drink. I'm a huge fan of Salata, and I was thrilled to see they were opening up a location in the HEB area. I visited a couple days before their grand opening and had a lovely experience. Clean ans bright new location. Lots of employees but we were only one in line at dinner. They have lots of toppings, protein (spicy chicken, pesto and plain). I love Salata so I was excited to see one open in the area. I went in today around 2pm. Salad and toppings are fresh. Service was good. Ambiance was bright and clean. Love the diversity among the staff! But...minus one star because the person serving the salad sneezed (away and into their arm). I recommend staff wear a mask as a sneeze guard. And the person at checkout didn't seem like she was happy to be there. Overall, I'm happy the neighborhood has a healthy option now. read more

Great salad option!!! It's like Chipotle or Subway but salads. My husband and I have been there 5 times in the last few weeks. I get the regular without protein so it's $10 for a HUGE salad with all the stuff I like. It comes with a very generous serving of a lettuce base (quite a few options but I choose the salata mix) and then tons of toppings including veggies and fruits. They have quite a few different salad dressings, but I've been sticking with the lemon vinaigrette. It's so good! Your salad bowl also comes with baked pita or a wheat croissant. My husband adds protein to his which bumps the price up between $3 and $5ish more dollars. He likes the seafood mix quite a bit. We have found the service to be pleasant and quick! We ordered delivery from Salata on Tuesday after a long day of traveling and will probably go one day this week. We are clearly fans. :) read more

My husband went to Salata a few days ago to pick up a carry out order for us. I'm not sure what he had but I had Tomato Basil Soup and a Salmon Caesar salad. The soup was the worst I've ever had and I eat tomato basil soup wherever I go, if they have it. I took a small taste and knew immediately that it was awful. I'd love to know what they put in it. It wasn't even tomato red. The salad was just so so. The salmon lacked flavor. The dressing didn't taste much like Caesar dressing. Overall, I wasn't impressed. Nice addition to Glade Parks. Fresh ingredients and very clean. They will make your salad anyway you like and you can always ask for more.

We ate there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was dirty. My wife even with up and told the cashier and they did nothing. There was a booth were people had gotten up an left their bowls on the table. It was about 20 minutes till someone came out and picked the bowls up, and didn't even wipe down the table. Is wasn't busy when we got our food, about 1:30 so they can't blame it on being too busy. Two salads for $31 is a little much for what you receive. The chipotle chicken was dry even with a double shot of salad dressing was hard to eat. There is a lot of variety and you can build the salad the way you want but it stops there. Well, wanted to give this place a try. Went at lunch time. There was a line but it moved fairly good. You go through a line telling a person at different stations along the way what you want, then pay at the register at the end of the line. First stop was a man who was putting in the empty bowl your choice of lettuce. Only I had been watching the people ahead of me and was impressed at the amount of lettuce given. That was until just before my turn, a staff girl toward the end of the line came up and told him he was putting too much lettuce in the bowl. So with my turn, I got what looked to be about half the lettuce the people in front of me were getting. At the end, I felt like I was paying for a small salad rather than the large one I had ordered. There is not a lot of seating in the place and when a table opened up there was no one cleaning tables so just had to sit at a dirty one. Overall the salad was ok but the overall experience was not great. Think I will stick with Panera that is close by. read more
