Picked up a digital order. First time here. I ordered a salmon and strawberry salad. Be aware that there are no actual strawberries in this salad, they are talking about the dressing. smh.‍ also, the salmon was as hard as rock and had a slight fishy smell. It tasted like it was made yesterday and was very over cooked. Either that or it was smoked salmon. I called and the person that answered just handed the phone to the manager mid sentence and she proceeded to tell me that they do not put out dry or over cooked salmon and that it was the glaze I was seeing. She said this several times. I explained that I've cooked salmon many, many times and would never serve over cooked and potentially say old salmon to a customer. Now I get why the salmon was buried under the salad greens and not sitting on top. Anyway, the manager did not handle the call very well in my opinion and seems to think that the food was likely perfect, because it's the pomegranate glaze that turns it brown. Haha. So, I've included pics so you can see it. It smells slightly fishy and is hard to the touch. The brown outside is that glaze that she thinks I was concerned with even though, I never mentioned color. I ordered the Harissa Avocado bowl with three extra dips and pita chips. Unfortunately, one of the dips and the pita bread were missing from the order. The pita chips were also soggy. On top of that, the dasher had to return to the store because the cutlery was not included. We are done wasting our money at this franchise. Three bowls with raw lentils. Raw lentils are toxic! Filthy food prep stations, sticky dirty floors and tables. No one even cleaning the dining areas even though they have plenty of employees on shift. I even told the cashier about the lentils and she just shrugged her shoulders. Didn't offer fresh bowls or an apology. Terrible customer service, not clean and unsanitary food. Just gross! I had high hopes for Cava after hearing so many great things, but my experience didn't quite measure up. I ordered a chicken bowl, though I honestly can't even remember exactly what was in it, which says a lot. The flavors were underwhelming and didn't leave a lasting impression. The ambiance was clean and the customer service was okay not bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. I am a regular customer at this CAVA location, and unfortunately I feel the need to warn others about an employee named Victor, who I was told is also a supervisor. Since he represents management, his behavior is especially concerning. I have encountered Victor on three separate occasions, and every single interaction has been unpleasant. He consistently has a terrible attitude toward customers -- lots of huffing and puffing, eye rolling, and acting irritated when simply doing his job. It genuinely makes customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. At first, I tried to brush it off, but after multiple experiences, it's clear this is a pattern. I honestly cannot tell if he dislikes his job, dislikes dealing with certain customers, or simply lacks professionalism, but his attitude is unacceptable for someone supervising a team. For reference, Victor has black hair, light hazel eyes, and is Hispanic. I know I cannot be the only customer who has experienced this behavior. On the other hand, there is a female supervisor/manager at this location who is absolutely wonderful. She is friendly, solution-oriented, professional, and actually makes customers feel valued. If there is an issue, she handles it with kindness and respect. The difference in customer service between her and Victor is night and day. The man made me walk out med sentence in ordering my food to instead op into ordering through the mobile app so I wouldn't have to deal with his energy that made super uncomfortable. Management seriously needs to check in with Victor and address what is going on because his behavior reflects poorly on the entire store and the CAVA brand. I apologize for the lapse in update: Two weeks ago Now, for those who frequent CAVA, we know their bowls are a pretty penny. So, when they gave me an order with burnt meatballs, I couldn't just let it pass. Food like that should have never been served, it should have been thrown away, even if that means you have to go without that ingredient for an hour or two. I submitted a complaint to their online customer service and within twenty-four hours, received a response. I made sure to submit my pictures and my receipts, they were very kind and responsive to my concerns and promptly issued a credit to my CAVA account. When I returned to CAVA, my salad was PERFECT! I understand, that sometimes there will be variations in what we order, but there will never be an excuse when it comes to poor quality foods being served to your customers. If you come before the pickup time that your order is supposed to be ready they are extremely passive aggressive and act like you're crazy for coming early. When really all you have to do is say oh it'll be another few minutes you're a bit early. Cava has become a new favorite for me! I had a busy day with a number of appointments. I had to make a quick decision on grabbing a quick bite to eat and decided upon Cava. I haven't been to a Cava before so I was interested to see what they had to offer. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is a order and build your order at the counter and pay there. There was plenty of seating in the resturant. I opted to take a kids meal togo due to needing to still head out to another appointment, one of those days I was willing to eat in the car in the parking lot to make sure I got where I was going on time. The kids meal was decent amount of food, and was a good way to try a little bit of something for a first time visit, at least for me! Everything was outstanding, shy of the pita chips being slightly overly "salty" for me, but the hummus helped with some of that. Their sodas are not the mainstream brands, I grabbed a rootbeer that I gave to my husband when I got to the appointment I was heading too. He seemed to like it! The Cava by my work is so good, but at this location the food doesn't taste right, and is somehow both not ready when they say it will be and cold when you get it. Plus they forgot my pita chips again! This is the third time i've came to this location and received cold/hard pita chips. You could tell they had been sitting out and were not made within the last hour even. This time I was finally eating inside so I went to the counter and asked if I could get another freshly made order of them. She said yes but I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to come out and at that point my bowl was cold and I didn't even want them anymore. I understand that I came in at a time that wasn't busy so the chips weren't continuously being replaced but don't make me feel bad for asking (which I still did because I usually don't do that). I did appreciate the manager for allowing me to have fresh ones. I might stick to the Southlake location from here on out. Twice I have picked up from your location and not only are most of your team members extremely short and rude, the minute it gets busy it's chaos in there and the quality of food suffers. This is not how it is at the Fort Worth or Southlake Locations. Please get your act together and don't give the franchise such a horrible reputation. I would hate for any first timers to visit your spot. Handing off bags of food without eye contact RA simple "here you go" it's just unprofessional. Also, if you're going to despise people coming to pick up food when it's busy, have it at the designated location so you don't have to have the dreaded conversations with paying customers.
