She explained the options clearly, made sure we understood spice levels. With the special you get a 1/2 pita and a piece of Aloo. The food was so filling, we both took some to go for later. There were about 10 of us and luckily it was on the less busy side, so we had no problem being seated. Just know if it's on the busy side, might be a pick up type of situated. The food was amazing! There's definitely a spicy side if you're not used to a little heat. The flavor is spot on. There's great depth with spices and overall a delicious bite each time you get a little bit of chicken or gyro. Serving up for at least a decade now I feel like with ownership staying within the family, it's about as OG as it gets. Service here has never been an issue for me, they're all clearly part time workers but food gets out fast enough and they understand customizations enough to get it right or fix it the second time. As for the bowls themselves, there's a hundred different ways to mix it up so part of the equation is definitely your fault, but they give you solid building block to enjoy lunch amongst the NYC murals and slightly too small chairs. For health reasons- Dr. suggested Mediterranean diet. Since we don't know how to make it, we decided to start trying different dishes. Rosa greeted us from behind the cashier-no table service. she suggested the gyro mixed platter & the BGuys mixed rice platter. Both were delicious! I added the "aloo" which was a potato made Mediterranean way-yummy. Ambiance is V clean & colorful. We had diet coke & bottled water $34.20. The portions/bowls appeared small but it's so dense we have leftovers. We arrived at 12:20- & got the last table. By 12:30-7 people in line. Lots of to-go orders also. I'm glad i asked for the sauces on the side. My gyro order included 1 red sauce (smelled too fiery) and 1 white (tzatziki i think), and i wish I could get two tzatzikis instead. When i got here, it was really empty and when i ordered it was really quick, I was kinda surprised how fast my food was ready. I ended up getting a beef-lamb rice platter with only the white sauce. when i was walking out the store, the bag felt light and when i got home i was stunned on the portion size for the the price i paid. The price for a rice platter is about 13 bucks, and i don't think its completely worth it. As for the taste, i really enjoyed it. The rice was fluffy and the meat was juicy and tender. i should've asked for heavy white sauce on top of my food, cuz they also charge for extra to go sauces (red & white) I don't think i'll be back. read more

The rice was perfectly cooked and the portion is extremely generous so I will be opting for a full salad base next time. Their sauces were the most memorable - a classic, garlicky white sauce that perfectly n complemented the meats and rice and a spicy tomato forward red sauce that added a ton of flavor and heat.
