After driving clear across town to pick up a new iPhone, my mom and I were starving and couldn't agree on where to eat. We decided to play it safe and go with a familiar favorite from back home: Panera. Big mistake. Normally, Panera locations are clean, welcoming, and dependable. Unfortunately, this location seems to have missed that memo sometime around 1977--the same year I suspect they installed the carpet. The moment we walked in, we got a greeting, but it felt less like "Welcome!" and more like "Corporate says I have to acknowledge your existence." The dining room was shockingly dirty. The carpet looked like it had survived multiple decades, several natural disasters, and maybe a few crime scenes. Dust, dirt, crumbs--you name it. To their credit, there was an employee cleaning. Unfortunately, she appeared to be moving through the restaurant like a sleepwalking zombie. She'd pick up one piece of trash, stare into the void, then walk right past ten more pieces. It was almost performance art. The food itself was okay, but for the prices they're charging these days, you can easily go to a sit-down restaurant where the staff actually seem happy you're there. The cashier--who I believe may have been the manager--was the real highlight of the experience. Asking simple questions like "Where are our drinks?" or "Can we get some sauce?" felt like we were requesting free concert tickets. Responses consisted mostly of pointing vaguely in a direction with all the warmth and personality of an airport security scanner. Then came the bathrooms. My poor mother ended up wiping down our own table because it was dirty. The restroom wasn't much better. The men's bathroom had a dirty diaper sitting on the floor. Seriously? What kind of parent changes a child and then just leaves the diaper behind for everyone else to enjoy? That's not a restaurant problem--that's a humanity problem. By the time we left, my mom made me promise we would never come back. When your mother officially bans a restaurant, that's usually the final review score right there. Overall: overpriced food, rude service, filthy dining room, questionable bathroom conditions, and an atmosphere that made us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by showing up. I want to start off by saying this rating is solely for this location! I go to Panera Bread often, I love the food and the ambiance, but, this particular Panera Bread has really let me down. I have visited this locations on 5-6 different occasions all of which were a let down, my fist visit, the line was almost out the door (as I found out on later visits that this is always the case) and there was only ONE person taking orders, while there were two girls walking around cleaning and chatting but mostly chatting, the girl taking orders was miserable she was so rude and clearly annoyed and took it out on everyone, this happened all the time at this locations where the staff just could care less about anything. My last time here I placed a take out order over the phone to pick up A: I feel for like they need to have a separate line for orders placed over the phone because those orders are made and left sitting there until the person can gets to the front of the longest line on earth! So I get to pay $25 for cold food..anyway, so I get to the front of the line and pay and my food isnt ready after and hour after orders and telling them id be there in 45 minutes, so I go and wait for them to call my name w/ my food I noticed there was a bad of tke out....waiting.....names get called, 5-10-15 minutes go by and I ask whose food was there in the bag, guess whose??? Oh, yum yum yum yum yum. What could be better than a sweet, lightly crunchy cinnamon crunch bagel with freshly made hazelnut cream cheese and a fresh, steaming cup of coffee to start your morning? Or a freshly grilled turkey, bacon, cheddar, and sun dried tomato sandwich for lunch, with a Jone's soda to wash it down? I love Panera Bread (or as I call it, "Pantera Bread," 'cuz I'm so hardcore like that) so much. It's clean, comfy, it smells like coffee, and the food is the best. Sometimes, at lunch and dinner, there can be quite a line, but it's always worth it if you have the time to stick around. Oh, and if you need bread, their Country Loaf is always a good choice. read more

I have been coming to this Panera for a while and I have seen how much this place has changed. Use to love the atmosphere but the past few months it has really gone down hill. The place is filthy, the baked goods are stale or about to be stale most of the time, the General Manger seems like he is losing his mind, and after what I saw today by the he treats his associates that were on the assembly line, I am absolutely outraged by his tone and his behavior and won't be returning to this location. The building smells like feet and highly recommend trying a different location. read more

The younger boy who was working as food runner/busser around 2:30pm on 12/1 was AMAZING (light hair, glasses.) He gave us great customer service and was so attentive. He will definitely create some loyal customers for this location. The girl at the register let me know that there were no onions in the salad that I ordered, when I got it there were a good amount of red onions in it. A little disappointing considering I made sure to double check. Soup was good as always. read more

I love Panera anywhere I go, however this location lacks some customer service skills. There is regularly a long line and usually only one person taking orders while other employees walk around seeming to be lost. I don't know why they wouldn't have more staff taking orders to move along lines? If they'd improve this issue it would be a perfect restaurant but I've been here too many times and it's always the same. read more

Pros: Pastries are out of this world! Best bear claws that I've every had! Cons: They've changed the menu quite a bit in the last year, and changed the recipe for some of their old sandwiches. Their Turkey Avocado sandwich no longer has real avacado, but instead has this weird avocado paste. read more

Really really good wholesome food. I remember when they only had a few menu options, then they started offering a little more here and there. When it comes down to it I stick to the originals, I've never been disappointed! The baguette is amazing, no other options needed for me as a side! read more

Stopped by Panera Bread and had a great experience. I especially love their lemonade drinks, they're super refreshing and always hit the spot. The place was clean and it's a nice, easy option when you want something quick but still good quality. Definitely one of my go-to spots. read more

The bathrooms are filthy. If I would have seen them before I ordered, I would not have eaten here. The women's bathroom stunk due to a stopped up toilet in one stall and standing water in another. My husband said the men's room was equally as bad. read more

SIP Club is great. This location is too hot for customers. Why is it always so hot? It's like they are promoting a roach environment. Workers' dont properly cover their hair so know you will have hair in your food. Bathrooms are gross. read more

Panera Bread has a vagrant sleeping in the back of the restaurant daily. He also uses the rest room. Without cleaning the table two ladies sat down to eat at the table the vagrant was sleeping at. Why is this tolerated? read more
