Walk up order and pick up counter, listen carefully for name to be called as it could get a little loud with customer chatter. Self serve for drinks and utensils. We got the baked potato special, that is offered occasionally, and was loaded with brisket, chives, bacon and sour cream. This thing was HUGE, took up the entire plate. The service was great and was constantly checked on to make sure all was well. Being a military family, it was great to see all branches, first responders (local and out of state) patches displayed throughout the restaurant. We will return.
Overall want too impressed. Counters service- barely made eye contact...it was HOT in the restaurant but the location was clean. The Mac and cheese was great but editing else was pretty standard. Good place to go if it's not busy and you don't feel like waiting, but wouldn't be my first choice for barbecue with so many other options in the valley.
Today I was hungry stopped here for lunch with sister so disappointed. Bun cold, meats so dry; burger thick & dry, turkey yucky slices, coleslaw not a good sour taste. Scout did refund the burger & we left.
The service here is consistently great which I appreciate however, the heavily seasoned shrimp suggest salt just might be the standard. The bird had a nice flavor and was super moist I enjoyed it. I do wish they would not have put the cornbread in the same box because it was mushy and wet from the chicken when I got home which is 5 minutes away.
It's been a while since we've had BBQ and I found Mission BBQ during a random online search, which had opened just recently. It sits right on the corner of Stephanie and Warm Springs, making it incredibly easy to access. I wanted to do dine in originally, but I was so tired that night that I chose takeout instead. We both ordered sandwiches for ourselves. I got the pulled chicken sandwich and my LTP got the brisket sandwich with fries on the side. As an extra side, we both got Maggie's mac and cheese. We got there about an hour before closing, where it was still a little busy and people were still coming in. But it didn't take too long for our food to come out. The smell of the food was so good that we immediately knew that we were going to enjoy it even before getting home. They have their own truck sitting outside in the parking lot, like those trucks you see in the military, but I'm not sure if it's drivable or not. My pulled chicken sandwich was tender and a decent size. If I had added BBQ sauce to it, it would've been extra tasty but also a little messy. My LTP said that he enjoyed his brisket sandwich, and I'm not sure who Maggie is, but her mac and cheese was delicious and flavorful. It really fit in quite well with both of our sandwiches. Check out Mission BBQ if you're looking for some quality flavored sandwiches among other BBQ items!
First time at mission Bbq because it seems my husband is in search of a great bbq restaurant. Parking was good. We went to the counter to order. The menu is on the wall behind the counter. I felt rushed and didn't fully understand it. I ordered the bbq shrimp then he hands me a big cup and asked me what sides I wanted. I told him I normally drink water and he said it comes with it. He also said that the sides came with it too. Same with my husband and son. I paid the bill and we found a table. They brought our food when it was ready. I'm looking at the receipt then the menu board in total confusion. Anyway I have figured it out. Nothing comes with the meats that you order. You can add XL and get sides and a drink. The employee behind the counter was not helpful at all even after I explained that it was our first time there. Honestly I felt deceived. The food was okay but nothing to get excited about. This hasn't ended the search for that great bbq restaurant.
I finally chose to accept it. Mission BBQ is a chain that took over the Henderson spot once occupied by Sweet Tomatoes. Easily seen on the southwest corner of Stephanie and Warm Springs, this spot does seem to give some legitimacy to Henderson's quiet BBQ scene. Order at the counter, and go with a friend or two if you wanna try all the proteins. My friend and I each went with a 3 Meat Sampler ($21.29) and got almost everything. You can actually order sides a la carte, but if you're going for a drink (I loved making an Arnold Palmer with their tea and lemonade available in bubblers), then an XL Combo ($6.00) or XXL Combo ($8.75) are cost-effective. The smoked meats range from really good to pulled pork. Skip that pulled pork if you can. It's a little tough, kinda dry, and lacks fat. My ranking of the rest of what I tried are, best to not as great, moist brisket, then surprisingly pulled chicken, then lean brisket, turkey, and jalapeño & cheese sausage. The pulled chicken and turkey are both surprisingly moist, so they both work. The moist brisket is definitely much more moist than the dry, which is passable if you haven't had really great smoked brisket. The sausage is juicy but I'm a little biased against spicy things. The smoke is a little on the subtle side overall but is definitely present. Playing with sauce-meat combos or multiple sauces is the real minigame of the meal. Most of the sauces are at the tables but some are only on the condiment "toolbox" between the two fountains and bubblers. Just try them all and you'll probably find some that are best suited for either your overall taste or each individual meat; my favorites ended up being KC Classic, Georgian Mustard (in a glass bottle), and South Carolina Zing (on the toolbox). We tried a few sides between the two of us. The included corn bread wasn't at the peak of ideal moisture content but worked for me. The Cold Slaw sat somewhere between creamy and vinegary, and I thought it was fine but not very impressive. The Kickin' Collard Greens were lighter than I expected and had a nice twist with the presence of tomato pieces. The Maggie's Mac-N-Cheese was cheesy and rich. And the Cherry Cheesecake, a seasonal sweet that does qualify as a side, feels oddly deconstructed then reconstructed, with some sorta whipped body sandwiched between graham cracker crumble and maraschino cherries. It still tasted solid enough though. I can see myself coming back to Mission BBQ on occasion if the BBQ bug bites me. It's solid enough for Henderson, the music was tolerable, and the decor celebrating military and first responders is probably a plus or neutral.
Ordered to go and the store really seems to have gotten into a good grove. The portion sizes feel commensurate with the prices, plus sides taste better and less salty. The service has always been friendly and store is clean. Easy parking and access off Stephanie. I love they include corn bread with the food and it tastes fresh and light. Mac and cheese is hearty and has texture. Sweet tea has a hint of sweetness and seems recently brewed. Food was packed well and stayed warm on the way home.
First let me say the customer service was outstanding. Everyone we came in contact with was incredibly friendly and eager to help. Hard to come by. The food was actually really good too. We enjoyed everything we ordered. I would say the only slight negative comment was that the chicken breast was a little dry, but chicken breast is always dry. Food taste was delicious. Ambience was fast casual as you would expect fir a bbq joint. Would definately go back.
Food was great! Very generous portions. It also came out quick. The place is packed and I really like how they dedicate everything to military/police and service members in general, kinda cool. They have lots of sauce options on the tables. Chicken was tender which is good cuz it can easily be dried out sometimes. I love my fries and theirs are delicious. There's lots of space inside and big booths and tables. Great location if you're looking to grab bbq for lunch or dinner!
I've traveled all over the country having barbecue and this place did a pretty darn good job. The brisket had a good bark and a nice fat cap, it had good flavor, didn't see the smoke ring that I would usually expect to see but I got there about 15 minutes before close so for being the end of the day I was impressed. The sausage was a bit boring. The pulled pork had good flavor, and they have six different sauces you can try.
Nice interior. The food is kinda pricey and some items are kinda salty. The service is very good though. They also have some great beef jerky. I suggest giving it a try. The green beans were not delicious and the bacon tasted old and not fresh. Also the cornbread was quite dry. Overall this place is okay.
This is a very cool place that everyone is sleeping on! My husband took me here for lunch one day and let me tell you there's nothing that I haven't tried here that I do not like! For the gluten intolerant, all the meats are GF, just beware of the sauces. There are many sides to choose from and bottled drinks. You can even try multiple meats in one plate. My favorite so far is the brisket

We were here a few months ago during a visit in Vegas and we loved it so while being in Vegas again, we had to come back! We went there for lunch. There were a couple of families ahead of us but there was no waiting. The young lady at the counter was welcoming and helped us order and answered our questions. My husband had the BBQ shrimp with a house salad on the side. The shrimp were perfectly cooked! I had the brisket with a side salad. The brisket was perfectly cooked and tasted really good! It didn't even need any sauces but they had the different sauces at the table so of course I had to try everything! One of our kids had the half chicken and she liked it. Our 10 yr old had the brisket sandwich. Both kids love the mac and cheese (has bacon) at Mission BBQ. We have actually come here just for the mac and cheese for our son because it is his favorite. All plates come with a piece of cornbread. Everything is delicious! We definitely recommend this place. Unfortunately they don't have any locations in California but we think they should open one in San Diego. We think it would be popular! Give them a try if you are in the area! read more
We were in Henderson so we made a whole day of it and stopped at Mission BBQ for a pre movie dinner. We walked in and walked up to the counter to order. The menu has lots of options and I had checked the menu before getting there so I knew collard greens were on the menu! The couple in front of us was talking a while to order but it was ok, I learned you could ask for a taste of a side to see if you liked it, that worked in my favor! My hubs and I ordered our dinners and headed to get our drinks. We got some reusable cups and I think we can get $1 off our meal if we bring them back next time. We both got a combo meals i got ribs, greens and Cole slaw. My Hubbs got brisket, sausage and 3 sides, greens, Mac & cheese and potato salad. The ribs were delicious, the sausage was good, the brisket was ok. All of the sides were great. I got an iced tea and was super bummed they didn't have lemon, I used lemonade and it was good. The decor is military and first responder and really cool, lots of old pictures. There are also movie posters in the hallway by the restrooms. I thought it was interesting that the are so military focused but don't offer a military discount, but are happy to tell you to sign up online for their military program. We live really far so it's unlikely this will be a regular stop for us but I'm glad we went, it was really good. read more

5 stars for Mission BBQ! The brisket is absolutely incredible, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and full of rich smoky flavor. The service is exceptional, the staff treats you like family, and trying their six different BBQ sauces makes the meal a fun, customizable experience. Above all, the deeply moving tribute to our veterans creates a patriotic, welcoming atmosphere that makes you proud to support this local business. read more

We tried this new BBQ spot and everything was fresh, flavorful & incredibly tender! The coleslaw, baked beans & potato salad were absolutely amazing, and the cornbread was sooo good! Sandi took our order and her recommendations did NOT disappoint! She was so friendly, helpful & made sure we picked some of the best things on the menu. The service here is truly one of a kind from Sandi to the servers and every employee we encountered. Everyone was welcoming, attentive & genuinely looked happy to be there, which made the experience even better. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for BBQ! Great food, great people & amazing service. read more

I have driven up and down Stephanie Street for some time and noticed this location, but never had the opportunity to stop in. I always thought it had a cool exterior vibe to it, and was super excited to go to lunch there The place has a great military theme, including a hardcore military smoker out front! Front! You can't miss it. And if you do, you aren't paying attention. Inside the restaurant is appointed with all kinds of military and police patches, memorabilia and such. You stand in line, look at the menu, and then order and then when they call your name you can pick up your food. I opted for the brisket sandwich.. because I like brisket, and I like sandwiches! I ordered mine with a side of fries, well done. The sandwich came up early, and was sitting there. Waiting for the well-done fries. Now I would have given this place five stars, but the meat on my sandwich was cold. That may have been my fault for ordering the fries. Fries well done, but in hindsight I think that they would have made the sandwich when the fries were first pulled. Regardless, the meat was really really good! Make sure you order it moist, so you get a little bit of extra fat on the sandwich. It makes a difference okay. You definitely have choices when it comes to sauces. I was a fan of the Texas honey hot, not super spicy but has a bit of a zing to it. For their perfectly cooked meat. The fries were amazing, perfectly crisp just the way I like them. Them. I am looking forward to coming back here again and trying some of the meat platters. Platters. I didn't have dessert, as the only two options were a brownie and a apple cobbler. I may try the brownie on my next visit. Bottom line? If you're looking for good barbecue this is the place! If you ask for your fries, well done. I suggest telling them to wait until the fries are done before making your plate. Other than that, this place is stellar! read more
Had moist brisket and gluten free fries with sweet tea! We will be back. My husband loved his turkey and pulled pork with cornbread. Lots of sauces. I went to restroom.... As I came out I heard the Natl Anthem.... (I could hear it faintly in the restroom )I walked out to the whole restaurant including both employees and patrons standing up with their hands on their hearts.... I stood there a moment confused before putting my hand on my heart as the National Anthem played and the TV's showing flying flags. After it was done everyone just sat back down and continued... I found table, I was like what was that.... My husband said they made an Announcement that everyday at noon they play and honor the national Anthem. I then realized the decor honored the military and first responders... Very cool experience... read more
We came back just two weeks after our last visit, and the experience was just as enjoyable. This time, I ordered the black plate special (smoked ribeye). The portion was generous, the flavor was spot-on, and the ribeye was tender. The Alabama white sauce paired with it perfectly. I chose mac and cheese as my side, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly cheesy without being overly heavy. My boyfriend stuck with his usual--pulled pork NC style with potato salad--and said it was just as good as before. Out of curiosity, I also tried the mud pie for dessert, and it was a nice finish to the meal. The staff were friendly, and I appreciated that on both visits, someone came around to check on customers. Ambiance - consistent with our last visit, the restaurant was bright, comfortably cool, and spotless. At around 2 p.m. it wasn't very crowded, making it easy to find a seat and settle in. So far, this place has been consistent in both food and service, and we'll definitely keep coming back. Suggestion: My boyfriend, who's from North Carolina, really loves this place but mentioned it would be even better if hush puppies were offered as a side read more

We love the food! The brisket is moist and the mac&cheede and cornbread are yummy! The only suggestion I can think of is only if they could indicate that only cornbread is included in the meals, customers would be made aware that sides are additional. read more

I love the aesthetics of this place. They honor our first responders and vets and even give them a free slice of cherry cheesecake for their service. We were greeted the moment we hit the door and service was swift and the staff were friendly! The decor is all first responder based which is very unique. We ordered the 10 bones ribs with Mac and cheese, baked beans, and cornbread. The ribs were extra tender and falling off the bone. TENDERNISM! The Mac and cheese was good and it had pieces of brisket in it. The baked beans aren't really sweet but give me pork and bean vibes, but they have a variety of bbq sauces to choose from. All in all, the food was awesome and we will be back. read more

Excellent! Came here for lunch during a work meeting and it was delicious! Super cool vibe inside. The line was long around lunch time but they move the line so fast and the food is ready in minutes. I ordered the brisket, the cheesy potato's and the slaw. Amazing quality flavors. It's so far from my home, but will def come back when im in the area. They should open a location in summerlin, we don't have anything like it! read more
What can I say? I fell in love with Mission BBQ back when I lived in Virginia Beach--and that love hasn't faded one bit. Coming home from deployment to find my favorite BBQ spot had made its way to the Las Vegas area was an incredible surprise. If you're looking for great BBQ served with genuine pride in country and community, Mission BBQ is the place. I've always been a fan of their turkey, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is top-notch--they treat you like family from the moment you walk in. The restaurant's interior is a heartfelt tribute to both local and national first responders and military personnel, creating an atmosphere that's as meaningful as it is welcoming! If you want BBQ this is the place! read more

Was only 5 minutes from our hotel. We always try BBQ when we are traveling. This is one of those walk in and order, then take a seat to eat. Drinks were self serve, they also had a big cooler with drinks to choose from when you walk in. I was so delighted to see Big Red, my mom grew up in TX and this was a favorite of hers. Staff was friendly, helped me with my order back to the table. We got a little of everything! I'm a brisket girl, my daughter loves ribs, and my son is the smoked turkey lover. It was all delicious, they have a six pack of sauces to choose from on the table which was a nice touch. read more

Brisket chopped sandwich with Mac n cheese and BBQ beans. Tried every sauces available and the one I liked most was ALL of them! The greeters were awesome. The explanations of different sauces was awesome. The Alabama white sauce complimented the brisket in my opinion better than the other 6 sauces. All staff working were awesome and very helpful. The music in the background was very tolerable and no need to scream over the music. One thing I missed most was Coca-Cola..... read more
I've heard about Mission BBQ and was happy to see another bbq place in the area. We have so many , but most are just average with a few with one or two items that stand out. Unfortunately I haven't been to one in the area that blows you away like in other places I've lived or visited. I grew up in the Carolinas , lived in Texas , visited Oklahoma and so many other places where I've ate my share of BBQ. It has been a love since I was a kid. I like that they have all the Military and First Responder items all over the restaurant and also the feel of a Texas Bbq place. I'm a Veteran myself of 10 years. They don't offer a Veteran Discount like many places , but instead have a Veterans VIP Club you can join for Gifts and Specials throughout the year. So of course I joined. They have other locations all over the U.S. including Oklahoma City where I can take my son and daughter-in-law the next time I visit. Now let's get to the food ! I got the 2 Meat Combo and added a Single Baby Back Rib to try. I chose the Pulled Pork , Lean Brisket , and Baked Beans with Pieces of Brisket in it. It also came with a piece of Cornbread which is nice since many bbq places in town charge for a piece of cornbread. I got Sweet Tea and I also tried their Lemonade when I went to get a refill from the beverage station. On the table they have a container with 6 different bbq sauces and one bottle of North Carolina Vinegar and Pepper Sauce which is what is used for Pulled Pork where I grew up. At the beverage station there was also 2 more bbq sauces. The Baby Back Rib was very tender and fall off the bone. It didn't really have any seasoning or dry rub on it , but I did try several of the sauces on it. It was pretty good. The Pulled Pork was pretty good also , but not the true Carolina Whole Hog Pulled Pork we have back home. It was close though. I shook up the bottle of Vinegar and Pepper Sauce to mix it up good before pouring on the pulled pork. It was a little weak , it should be more tangy and vinegary. I added a little of the Georgia Mustard Sauce to it and mixed it up and that did the trick. The Brisket. My fault for getting the Lean instead of the Moist. It was dry ! It had good smoke and a nice smoke ring , but even with different sauces I couldn't save it. I ate all of it of course , but I don't recommend getting the Lean. I will try the Moist next time. Beans with Brisket Pieces. Yes , so good ! I've never been to a Texas Bbq place that doesn't know how to make great bbq beans. These are some of the best I've had in town. One of my co-workers came here a week or so ago and said the Green Beans are outstanding too. I will try them next time. Cornbread was just okay , but I do appreciate it being included with the meal. All bbq places should include a piece of cornbread with a combo. Sweet Tea and Lemonade. Sweet Tea was a little weak and my son would've said it was a lot weak ha ha. It was good though. The same with the Lemonade , weak. For someone who likes Arnold Palmers it would be pretty good and they also have Unsweetened Tea which is a Sin in the South. But there are the people on a diet or with diabetes that would still like to have some tea too. Bbq Sauces. I tried all of them except the Texas Twang which they were out of and an employee said they were making more when I asked about it when I was leaving. Smokey Mountain , Memphis Belle , KC Classic , Baja Bold , Tupelo Honey Heat are all the ones on the table. Also the NC Vinegar and Pepper Sauce in a bottle is on the table. At the beverage area they had a Georgia Mustard Sauce and a Bay-B-Que Sauce which was a Bbq sauce with Bay Leaves. All were just okay to me except I didn't care for the Tupelo Honey Heat. Different ones tasted better on different meats. Bottled Drinks. They have a wide selection of bottled drinks to choose from to include Cheerwine which is a Cherry Soda from North Carolina that of course I bought one to take home. I used to buy it at Rocket Fizz at Area 15 , but they were having problems getting it a while back and I quit going there trying to pick some up. They said the distributor was having trouble getting it and Blenheim Ginger Ale Hot which is from South Carolina and I used to buy it there by the case ! I know order it directly from the factory and have it shipped to my home now. Service. Everyone that I talked to was nice and informative. One lady was going around cleaning the tables and asking if you needed anything. She took my tray after I was done and we talked about a few things with the restaurant. I would recommend you giving it a try and making your own decisions on the food since everyone has their own taste and regional favorites. I love that they support Veterans and First Responders , so I would say give them some support too. The prices were also pretty fair unlike some other places in town. I will come back to try more with a friend or two read more

This review is based on a first-time visit on 7/10/25. My party of 2 ordered the Meat Sampler with 3 meats - Brisket (moist, not lean), Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs. We also got the Jalapeno & Chz Sausage because YOLO. For sides, we ordered Maggie's Mac-N-Cheese, Baked Beans, and Fresh Cut Fries. The highlights for me were as follows: - Brisket: The meat was super tender and juicy and paired beautifully with the assortment of sauces (6 different ones) available on the table. My personal fave though was the Baja sauce... it had a nice little kick and tang. - Baby Back Ribs: As I had hoped, these were falling-off-the bones delectable. I am salivating just thinking about this. - Fresh Cut Fries: Mission's fries were crispy and very well seasoned. These are easily in the top 10% of fries I've had over the past few years. Don't forget to grab some wet wipes in their serving area. You MUST get the ribs and your fingers will get sticky! read more

Had the brisket(2 out of 5)- the moist one (you can choose moist or lean) and side of Mac and cheese (3 out of 5) Brisket ---- First bite of the brisket - so salty! Although the meat is cooked pretty well I must say it's too salty to enjoy any meat flavor...... Used a bunch of bbq sauce to mask the saltiness, didn't help by the way. At the end, only way I could eat is cut the outer part off (the charred, flavored part). Mac and cheese --- Nothing special and not that great, lacking from a BBQ joint, just something to fill you up. I see another reviewer also mention the same thing....... Sorry but if this is how you'd marinate brisket, this place is certainly not for me~ 2 stars for good service and pretty cool interior and a-okay dining experience. read more

Counter service establishment with plenty of the best BBQ options you could think of. I liked the dedication to veterans and all of the photos and memorabilia on the walls. There is plenty of seating, with quite a bit of large format tables, along with the 2 and 4 tops. The service is great, from ordering to having someone come by the table a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. I really appreciated that we got a full cup for water and not a small one that needed to be refilled 2 or 3 times. The food was pretty good, but nothing I'd write home about. The fare was pretty standard BBQ done nicely. We ordered a 2 meat combo with brisket (moist) and pulled chicken. We also added a 2 side combo with coleslaw and mac and cheese. The brisket wasn't moist at all, in fact it was pretty dried out, so I had to use a good amount of BBQ sauce. I used every single sauce and didn't find one I didn't like, except the KC, which was good but again nothing special. The pulled chicken was also dry, but the vinegar sauce on the table went well with it. The coleslaw was a bit bland, so we added the Georgia mustard sauce, that made it shine. The mac and cheese was excellent and the little cornbread that came with the meal was nice and sadly moister than the brisket. I also tried my dad's baked beans. Those were excellent and I'd eat those everyday if I had to. They don't do a military/veteran discount here but you can join a program to get free food over time. Overall, not my fave, but solid enough that when the craving hits, I'd come back. Especially since this place isn't cheap but it doesn't break the back either. read more
Hey Yelpers! Came in for lunch one day with a buddy who recommended this spot. Glad we did! The staff are friendly and helpful. Either though this is an order at the counter kinda place, they still had staff coming to check on us and offering refills of our drinks. The restaurant decor honors the U.S. military and law enforcement. There is lots of memorabilia on the walls to be looked at. One nice thing is that the tables has chairs instead of the wooden benches that some BBQ places use at their tables. That one reason my wife doesn't like to go out for BBQ, and I have to agree. I'm not at a picnic in a park, so don't make me sit on bench with other people. Anyway, the booths do have typical booth seats. The food was great. My ribs were seasoned with a dry rub. The tables all have a carrier with an assortment of 6 different sauces you can use, if you wish. I sampled them on the side, but chose to eat mine without. The meat was tender, juicy, and tasted great on its own. My buddy had the brisket sandwich and let me try a piece of the meat. Equally tasty. He has been here a few times and tried different things. He like all of it but said the brisket was his favorite my far, and I could see why. And the prices are seasonable for the amount of food that you get. I could see sharing the 5 bone pork ribs with my wife, getting another side as extra. This does seem to be a popular spot because even on a Friday afternoon there was a decent amount of traffic coming in and out. I'll be coming back with my wife sometime. Rally your troops and march down to Mission BBQ, double time! read more
I absolutely love this place! I will say they have a VIP Military program but don't honor military discount. Food score: The pulled chicken was dry but flavorful The collard greens were better than I expected! The corn bread was a true corn bread super dry! Not the moist cake like version that I love! The coleslaw was amazing and the brisket was fantastic! Def come here and eat! The service is unmatched and the atmosphere is great! read more
