We were in Henderson today and decided to give this location of First Watch a try. It appears that First Watch is just not for us. It was a rare, nice August day where we could sit outside and enjoy breakfast. The patio is right along Stephanie so we had a lot of traffic going by so sometimes that was a little loud. No fault of the restaurant. Our server was ok. She hadn't been made aware that there were no lemons for tea so that was a bummer. I love iced tea but only with lemon. Strike one- the restaurant didn't have any lemon. We ordered our breakfast, Hubbs ordered an omelette with potatoes and a side of cheese grits. I ordered eggs Benedict. Our food came out and his breakfast looked fine. But the grits were not creamy, they were more like corn cakes (see photos). They were inedible. As soon as I saw the eggs Benedict I knew the eggs were not cooked. Those eggs were jiggling like jello! I told the food runner and she told me she'd get our server. She came out and I told her the eggs were undercooked. She asked if I wanted the meal remade or if I just wanted new eggs. I asked for a new meal, or at least take off these eggs and add fresh eggs and hollandaise. When she brought the remade plate the eggs were STILL undercooked! I was so frustrated I asked her to just take it away (I admit I was really ugly, not at her but at the fact that a breakfast place couldn't get poached eggs right!) by this time I didn't want anything, Hubbs was almost finished eating. So I ate a 1/2 piece of his toast and was fine with that. A few minutes passed and someone who I believe to be the kitchen manager maybe, came out and apologized and tried to offer me the eggs Benedict for a third time and I refused and I also didn't want anything else. She also offered me a card, I'm assuming to come back another time. I refused that also, after trying First Watch at 2 locations and being unhappy at both of them I think that they just aren't a match for me. Ohhh she also told me that "they tell us to cook the poached eggs for 30 seconds" what the what?!? To hell with whether the eggs are cooked or not? Just put them in water for 30 seconds and deliver those jiggly eggs to our customers! Ugh! What kind of kitchen works like that (I waited tables through college so I have a little idea how it works). Hi Neighbors, here goes: I decided to surprise the Mrs. again and try the new breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant called First Watch on Stephanie St. here in Henderson. This time we dined in. I wanted to see what folks were raving about, especially the million-dollar bacon everyone was saying was a must-try and so delicious it was to die for. Really? Well, here is my honest experience at this restaurant. The food arrived cold or, at best, lukewarm. The server was meh and M.I.A. for the most part. Although we arrived early, the restaurant did not get busy until after we were seated. We ordered two traditional breakfasts, upgraded to the million-dollar bacon, and a side of small, cold, doughy biscuits with preserves. My wife had her customary cup of morning java, and we also ordered two juice drinks called the watermelon wake-up, which were not bad, but nothing memorable. I also learned that when you pour sugar cane into your drink, it does not dissolve like regular sugar. Lol. Now, getting back to the food, It's actually hard to tell you what the food tastes like when it arrives cold, and I, for one, am not accustomed to sending my food back to the kitchen so it can be stuck in a microwave and reheated, and sent back to me. But I will give it my best shot! The food, to me, definitely did not live up to all the hype. If I were to grade our overall dining experience at First Watch. I would say a C-minus for the food and a C-plus for the ambiance. Now let's talk about the million-dollar bacon, overhyped with a catchy name. Sweet with some syrup and green onions? And cold! Have you ever tried eating eggs over medium cold? We did. Not very tasty. Even the breakfast potatoes were cold. A food item that normally has some warmth to it. Now, I don't know if the breakfast came out hot and the runners or servers left it sitting too long before bringing it to us, but I did notice they never said 'hot plates' when they set those cold breakfast concoctions in front of us. Yeah, I agree the breakfast looks appetizing in my pics, but never judge a book by its cover. Will I give this restaurant another try? Probably not. Once bitten, twice shy in this case. Especially when there are so many other better places to eat for your money here in the valley at seventy dollars! In all due fairness, I did hear that this restaurant could be hit-or-miss. Worth the wait but... I will definitely utilize the app for the future. This location was packed but the overall service considering the high occupancy was great. The hostess communicated very well and did a great job seating guest quickly. The chicken sausage here is sooo good. I had low expectations to be fair and their patties did not disappoint. Great round size thin patties accompanied by egg whites toast and potatoes. I brought my friend for the first time and she was very satisfied and thankful for her new spot to eat. We've been to this location twice in the last month. Loved the food we ordered. Love the coffee: strong and hot. It is important to me when served with really hot coffee and a plus if its strong. First time we came we got the banana brittle french toast from seasonal menu and the half roast beed & havarti sandwich a cup of tomato basil soup. Really good! Second time, ordered the banana brittle again and strawberry tres leches french toast. Service were okay. Took a while for them to ask for our drinks. Probably waited 10 mins also to give water plus coffee and came back again another 10 mins to take our orders. Asked for extra napkin but never arrived (this happened both times we went). Location There is ample sparking space in the lot, and location was easy to find right on Stephanie in the Galleria Commons shopping center. Ambiance Walking up is very inviting,it's clean and has outdoor seating. Inside has a modern farmhouse esthetic. There is booth as well as table seating available. We were greated and seated quickly. Service We had the privilege of having Manny as our server today and he was phenomenal. Personable, professional and attentive. Great service great vibes and his denim apron was 10/10 . We got on the list (via the app) a little to late and had to wait an hour and a half for a table at 11 am. We had an issue where I checked the app and we had about 5 min left in wait time, then the app said we weren't on the waitlist at all. We came to the host stand and they confirmed we weren't on the waitlist. I literally had been waiting 85 min at this point and almost got angry but thankfully they didn't miss a beat and apologized and at us right away. Our server took a long time to great us, but he too apologized for the wait. He did walk by a lot but didn't touch our table very often. I came here for brunch, and it was just okay. We sat outside because the weather was nice, but there weren't a lot of other people outside, so getting a server was difficult. Our original server stopped by once but then was never seen again for our order, and we had to flag someone down to get a new server. It was a little confusing who our server actually was. We were able to order, and we did have some special customizations, and they got them mostly right. The food is okay, and we had a coupon. I think it is generally overpriced for what you get. I'm not sure I would return unless I had a coupon. I think if you're a brunch person you will enjoy this more. We visited First Watch this past Sunday and overall very happy. We had two kinds of eggs benedict, tres leche French toast, and the summer granola as well as a couple of the juices. All the food was great! No issues at all. The space was very cute, our waitress was very nice, and when the bill comes I love the way each persons food was priced individually. We didn't ask for it to be that's just the way it comes which is great if you are having brunch with a bunch of friends. Only two small things. 1) the small brown boxy wood chairs are not comfortable. It's not comfortable on your butt and kinda feels like it's pushing your back forward. Luckily there are different kinds of chairs and booths but if you see those ask to be say at a different table. 2) this is more of a suggestion.... Stay open to at least 4pm-ish at least on the weekends. They currently close at 2:30pm and we saw a LOT of people come in and were turned away. On the weekends people want to do early and late brunches and you are also losing a lot of money closing so early. read more

The avocado toast was fresh and generously topped with creamy avocado, served with perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs and a lemon wedge that added a nice bright touch. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The chilaquiles were flavorful with just the right amount of sauce, and the black beans and cheesy eggs made it a super satisfying dish. The pancakes were fluffy with melted butter on top, and the side of bacon was crispy and delicious -- classic comfort breakfast done right. Immediately to your left when you walk into the restaurant it looks like they have a self serve coffee while you wait to be seated. Which is so convenient because you can get your coffee fixed while you wait. Not to mention they have my favorite coffee creamer!! We had started with self-serve coffee refills at our table, very much convenient if you wanted to drink as much coffee as you want. This is a recommendation please get the million dollar bacon! This is something that I wish I would've upgraded in my main dish.. My husband and I both ordered the same thing, though his was slightly different. So excited to have First Watch open in Henderson on Stephanie! My boyfriend and I stopped by for breakfast and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. We ordered the Tres Leches French Toast with fresh strawberries. It's a great presentation but I was little disappointed with the strawberry sauce (overpowering with sweetness) and I expected the bread to be softer with the tres leches. However, the Market Hash was hearty and well-balanced, loaded with veggies and cooked just right. My boyfriend had the Million Dollar Bacon and loved it. He said it's sweet, smoky, and addictive :). I had the turkey sausages which were nicely cooked and flavorful. The Morning Meditation juice was refreshing and a great balance of oranges and beets. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a terrible experience at this First Watch location. From the food to the service, everything was a complete letdown. The food was poorly prepared--dry, bland, and completely lacking flavor. Our server barely checked on us during the meal. Every single time we needed something, we had to track her down and ask for it ourselves. To make matters worse, whenever she brought anything over, she would just drop it on the table without saying a word--no "here you go," no eye contact, nothing. It felt completely disrespectful. When we brought these issues to the manager's attention, the response was somehow even worse. Instead of offering to take the ruined meal off our bill, she offered to remake the food herself or give us a "side of fruit"--at a breakfast restaurant where fruit already comes standard with almost everything. When I made it clear that we simply wanted the inedible meals credited, she grabbed both of our plates, turned around, and walked off without saying a single word. No apology, no acknowledgement, no customer service whatsoever. Such a shame on the Saturday afternoon manager and the waitress assigned to our table. I guess I should've read the description better because when it came out looking super bland, it had salmon and I didn't see any veggies. Apparently it's only tomato and onion. The cherry tomato looked like salmon so I didn't even see it at first. I got potatoes instead of the side greens it came with. The server brought me a plate of salad greens but that was just okay also. I also got an iced coffee. I doubt they have an espresso machine back there. I believe it's just the premade sweetened coffee you find at gas station convenience stores. Average. Oh it came with a piece of garlic bread which was super salty. All in all, very average. Side note: I sat at the bar and had shorts on. The chairs were made of woven wicker and very uncomfortable. My legs were stuck to the chair and the formation of the chair was not comfy either. Maybe some padded or upholstered chairs would be much better. I might try again for lunch, but it probably won't be anytime soon. read more

We had Jamie and Daniel as our servers the last two mornings, and they were hands down some of the best servers we've ever had--so friendly, helpful, and genuinely fun. My wife and I were so excited to try this place, got there at 8am, ordered & waited until 8:30 and finally received our food granted it was made fresh unlike some places where the food comes out super quick. My wife received her chickenchanga first, the presentation was great. Upon taking a bite the entire thing was cold, even the chicken inside of it. Upon receiving my turkey burger I was so irritable because of how my wife's food turned out I could barely eat mine. We let the server know and he told us that the kitchen was backed up, now I worked in a restaurant for 6 years, and I can tell you it wasn't even busy. There were maybe 6 tables in the entire restaurant. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I really enjoyed the caramel crunch coffee& the kale tonic. I will say this day the entrance smelled like sewage and it did almost make me want to leave since the smell with the food would not mix well. First of let me start with we got Amazing customer service checked in on us plenty of times to make sure everything was good or if we needed anything else. The potatoes and Bacon were really good I would highly recommend trying them. The barbacoa was good but I would prefer pinto beans over black beans and option of a fried egg over scrambled eggs. The purple haze and the Honey Caramel crunch were top notch and would highly recommend them. The tres leches French toast were good but missing the treat leches wow flavor. Hey Yelp friends. I finally checked out first watch with some friends. It was packed but you couldn't really tell because this place runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is super friendly and super efficient. The seating is spacious and comfy. The ambiance is cute and the energy is cheery. OMG! The menu is full of yummy options. The coffee is strong and that's a compliment. I love when they bring you a carafe of coffee to your table. Everything we ordered was delish. There are many seating options. I was so pleased. I can't wait for our next visit to try something else. I bought a gift card for a friend while I was there. The restrooms are clean and stocked. The parking lot is busy but that's because they share spots with a couple places next store. They were so kind to bring a muffin with a candle to our table for the birthday boy. I didn't even need syrup because it was already so flavorful on its own. We also shared the Million Dollar Bacon, and let me tell you... dangerously good. Sweet, savory, and addictive. My friend went with the Avocado Toast, which looked fresh and generously portioned. To drink, I had the Morning Meditation juice, made with orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet. It tasted incredibly refreshing--clean, bright, and exactly what my stomach needed. Overall, this new First Watch is a fantastic addition to the community and the neighborhood. First time at this new First Watch Restaurant for breakfast. The works omelette was lacking the chedaaaaa nothing stayed together the bacon&sausage would just fall out at every bite. The million dollar bacon was just ok. The star of today's breakfast was the original pancakes w/ warm syrup. Nice new restaurant and very friendly staff. Will come by again to try their lunch menu hopefully with a better outcome. This restaurant closes @ 230. This is based on my opinion perhaps others will have a different and more of a yum experience. read more

We planned to meet my friend and her daughter for a delicious breakfast at First Watch since they just opened in Henderson. The food and the service were excellent. It was Valentine's Day, and we were number 45 on the waiting list, but it was totally worth it. I ordered the avocado toast, and to drink I had the Morning Meditation. The ambiance was lovely -- it was busy but not overwhelming. It was actually very nice and pleasant. read more

Near home so I thought I would try them out. -turkey sausage are cold. -coffee is good and hot. -potatoes are warm. -egg whites are warm. -sour dough bread (meh) -no other options for jelly, jam, (only their signature preserves) Orange juice tasted fresh squeezed!! First impression of FIRST WATCH, not impressed ‍ For this meal, nothing of quality. Nothing impressive. Is food served hot a thing of the past? Won't be back. Not worth the price. read more

Super yummy. Great service. The coffee was hot and fresh and the staff was extremely accommodating with seating needs. I had the Market Hash with perfectly poached eggs and my husband had biscuits and gravy. Both awesome. The interior is decorated with light and bright colors and surfaces that are easy to sterilize. read more
