.......1st impression are everlasting! This was our first time having breakfast at Peg's. We saw the reviews on Yelp and most of them were positive. She had the vegan skillet breakfast w/water. Served in a huge stainless steel platter, the portions are generous. Crispy brown hash browns, fresh pinto beans, cabbage coleslaw, grits and warm tortillas (in a steaming pot). The vegan flavors excited her "discriminating" palate!! I asked her how her dish was? She responded with a "when can we come back here?!" (See pic) I ordered the Hawaiian breakfast. Two eggs scrambled, Portuguese sausage, spam, a scoop of white rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, pineapple ring w/strawberry (see pic). Hawaiian style food is imitated....and rarely duplicated outside of Hawaii. For example, the best way to cook Portuguese sausage is to grill it on a gas grill like Liliha Bakery does!! The sausage is seared (not burnt, not dry) but sweating, with juicy flavors and beautiful black charred strips!!! OMG! My mouth is watering thinking about this!! Anyway...back to Peg's...here the sausage and spam are deep fried which creates a drier and as a bit tougher experience. The macaroni salad here is the best I've ever had "outside Hawaii." When you take a scoop of it into your mouth....the flavor and texture of the moist mayonnaise mixture will "titillate and explode!!" lol! No but seriously...for the braddahs & sistas....one taste and you will be "hooked." In general, not bad. The restaurant was clean. Tables wiped and not sticky. Decor was simple and progressive. (It works!). Layout of floor plan was modern. Service is great! The staff acknowledges you upon arrival. They seat you promptly. Our food order didn't take long to arrive at our table. Our waitress checked on us and refilled our drinks. Peg's is a "keeper ". We will be back for more! read more

This location is in a cramped area with limited parking, but if you don't mind walking a little there is plenty of parking in the adjacent Sunset Station parking lot. We chose Pegs due to its convenient location close to the freeway. There was no wait for our table of five just after 12pm on a Saturday. The service was quick and super friendly. One of our friends had just finished a triathlon and we had been at the lake since 6am, so we were all pretty hungry, especially him. The coffee was fresh and delicious and my cup was never empty! The portions are a good size, which suits the prices. I ordered a Denver omelet, which was good. I subbed the hash browns for the "seasoned tots" but would definitely skip as the tots were not seasoned except for maybe just salt. Not worth the upcharge when the hashbrowns tasted just fine. They have unlimited toast with the breakfasts, which is cool and they start you off with just one slice. Went here for the first time today. Great location. Great location in Henderson, Nevada. Very close to Costco on Mark's Street. My mom and I went in for Breakfast. Very nice decor inside and great colors make it cheery and inviting. I like the TV's on the wall. I watched a cooking show while eating and talking with my mom. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. Great service too. We both ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict, with hash browns. You can also choose grits or fruit as your side. We were glad we chose the hash browns, they were cooked golden brown and crispy. Just how they should be cooked. The coffee was really really good. I like that when you're seated, your menu is already on the table for you. I thought it was a very nice touch. It's very quiet inside. There were about 6 tables with seated people when we walked in. They have a few tables outside as well. The bathrooms are very clean. We enjoyed our breakfast experience here today. We look forward to coming back to try lunch. Next time we're in for breakfast or lunch, we will order 1 item and share it. It's a lot of food. Great prices too. Parking is easy and plentiful. Don't miss out eating here, whether you are a local or visiting. This place is great. And I love the name of the restaurant. You won't be disappointed. Huge letdown compared to how it used to be I was really disappointed with my recent visit to the Henderson location. This place used to be quite good, but the food quality has taken a serious nosedive, and the prices no longer match what you get. I paid $16.00 for three turkey sausages that were dry and hard, served alongside equally dry eggs. To make matters worse, the pancake stack was almost burnt and the coffee was horrible. It's hard to justify these prices when the kitchen is missing the mark on basic breakfast items. On the positive side, my mom and daughter both ordered burgers and actually liked them, and the fries were good. The service was also attentive and friendly, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, based on the breakfast and the coffee, the meal was a major disappointment and a letdown from what it used to be. read more

We were all hungry and feeling a classic brunch, I've never been here before so I wanted to check it out with my family since Baby Stacks was packed per usual. We were sat down immediately and the staff was super kind. It took me forever to pick what I wanted but our server was very patient and didn't rush me at all. I ended up choosing the Monte Cristo and I don't regret it at all. If you have a difficult time trying to find that sweet and savory balance look no further! This sandwhich is so delicious, it's basically triple stacked french toast with turkey cheese and ham in between they give you an optional strawberry jam and a side of fruit! Super delish, not for everyone but I'm not everyone I love me sweet and salty combo lol. It was very filling, but also not anything special that I would go out of my way to order it again. Always looking to try new places so I stopped by to check this place out solely based on the yelp ratings. It was a cute place with a love/kind/ happy vibe based on decor. For a diner I figured the food would be typical but theirs seemed like it offered more than just the basics, I was excited. Here comes the unpopular opinion... First, I ordered a basic coffee and it was terrible. I tried to doctor it up but there was no saving it. It was also served in a 6oz cup, while I didn't enjoy the coffee, it could have been a bit larger for the price considering it costs pennies to make. The food feedback is added to the images. The service was good, she was attentive and consistent but l got the sense that perhaps she had been there all day and was ready to go home which I can understand, servers have a tough gig. Megan waited on us, she was genuinely sweet and positive, but ALL the staff were so welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. The vibe is diner like; cool grey interior with skylights to brighten the booths & tables; You feel relaxed not claustrophobic. Although it's a family environment it's not unbearably noisy, two flat panel tvs on the back wall with an open concept wait nook for the wait staff, seemed super efficient more than the traditional restaurant setup-- seems to work well for the staff. I had the bacon & eggs w unlimited toast and hubbs had the turkey sausage patty & eggs. Both plates were large portions and flavors were all there. I stopped by since I was on this side of town, and I wanted Portuguese Sausage, Eggs, and Rice. A staple Hawaii Style breakfast meal. Nice restaurant, and the service was also great. I forgot her name. Food: Hawaiian Breakfast which includes: 2 scoops of rice, macaroni salad (not sure how felt about that with my breakfast, but it worked), 8 slices of portuguese sausage and fried SPAM. Let me first start with at first glance, the portuguese sausage looked burnt. It's not my style of preparation. I took a bite, and although the outside was burnt, the inside was tender. I was torn if I wanted to return it and ask for it to be cooked again. I ended up eating 2 sausages and packed the rest to go. The fried SPAM was delicious. So, I'm thinking both meats were probably deep fried because I found a french fry in my food. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Fluffy and browned well. The mac salad was equally as delicious. One word - potential. Oh, you need more than that? Well, I came in to try Peg's recently. I had seen it but not tried previously. I don't go for diners too much. But I was looking for a change up so I thought I'd check it out. I came in before 7:30 and was the only customer at that moment. Another party came in a few minutes after me. That was it. Pretty sparse at that time. I spent several minutes looking at the menu. A big menu too. I thought about getting a breakfast buger. Biscuits and gravy sounded good too. I ultimately settled upon corned beef hash. Hadn't had that in a while. I ordered it with hashbrowns though I am questioning why now. I didn't really need more potato. But the mixdd fruit included strawberries which I have to be careful with. So, potato on potato it was. Also some sour dough toast on the side. Holy moly, that is a carb heavy breakfast. No wonder I came home and wanted to take a nap afterwards. Thank goodness for the protein from the corned beef and eggs. My food came out fairly quickly. A big plate loaded with shredded potatoes from both the hashbrowns and the hash. I was pleasently surprised to see the big pieces of corned beef. Not overly processed. It was more like home style. Not a bad thing. On top of that was 2 eggs fried over easy. I love to break the yolks and get it all mixed in. Then came bite one and...well...ho hum. I picked up on the onion and bell pepper in the hash. It was like a cross between potatoes O'Brien and hash. This sounds good but I picked up a burnt taste. And that carried throughout the plate. The peppers and onions were burnt. The potatoes in both the hash and the hashbrowns were burnt underneath. The food came out fairly quickly but 2 minutes sooner and this probably would have been perfect. Thats not to say I didn't eat it all. I just added some ketchup. There was one person working the dining room amd she was great. Friendly and attentive. She was the highlight. I just wish the food was cooked a bit better. Maybe a burger would have been the way to go. Just goes to show you that you should stick with your initial thoughts. First thoughts are usually correct. read more

Cute little place with lots of menu choices. So much to choose from. We had the chicken fried steak and the chicken teriyaki breakfast. Both were delicious. Next time I'm doing the chili relleno breakfast. Everyone that worked there was friendly and had smiles on their faces. We definitely found our new breakfast and lunch spot. The only thing that could make it better is if they would open one on Boulder Hwy and Horizon. We desperately need more restaurant options on this side of town, hint, hint. read more

After a long night in Las Vegas, we were heading through Henderson and wanted a good breakfast. Once again, I looked at Yelp reviews and really glad I did. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Megan, showed up with a minute and got us coffee (which is really fresh and hot) and iced waters. He ordered the veggie omelet and I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict. We didn't have to wait long and the food was fantastic. The side dishes of fresh fruit were great and had a great mixture if cantaloupe, blueberries, bananas, and sliced strawberries. His omelet was loaded with broccoli, mushrooms, spinach, onions, and tomatoe and half an avocado on top. The Benedict was on a thinner muffin with cream cheese, thinly slice salmon, perfectly poached eggs, and a creamy hollandaise sauce. I took half of it home with me. It's taken me a few years since opening but we finally came in to try this location of Peg's. I've been to another location and thought it was good, but that location is just so far away from my home, we never went back. I was quite excited a few years ago when I saw this location pop up but life, you know? We walked in around 1045AM on a Saturday. I was a bit nervous because I thought it would be slammed but we were pleasantly surprised that even though it was busy, we were seated right away. This location looks just like the other one I've been too. It's cute that they look the same. I was also seated in almost the same spot, kitty corner to the kitchen, as the other, so it felt like deja vu but off, obviously because we're on Sunset not Eastern. The place looked pretty clean and well kept. We ordered breakfast items and they did not disappoint! My husband is still talking about the gravy on the chicken fried steak. I think the portions are large enough (I ate and still had enough left over to take to lunch the next day) and they quality of good is pretty high. I wasn't a huge fan of the vanilla iced coffee, it was flavorless. I think it's odd for a place in 2024 to not have dairy free milk options but our server did bring some dairy free creamer. Finally leaving a review after coming to Peg's, off and on for almost a year for breakfast. There are several places I go to and like. And there are quite a few places in a two mile radius. Peg's is one of them. At most places for breakfast, I tend to just get the same thing. But here, I actually try new things to see if I like it, and I haven't been disappointed. pegs is always a good brunch spot for the fam. Especially since they offer Hawaiian breakfast options which is nice to come by. We came here in the middle of the week for breakfast and were seated right away. They have table and booth seating. It looks like they newly renovated the place and it's very nice and clean inside. I will say the only downside is you can't substitute more rice instead of Mac salad, they say the Mac salad is a garnish but it's just served as a scoop on the side and we aren't really fans of Mac salad. Peg's is a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast with some Hawaiian options. This is one of our go to spots when my parents are in town. One of the best parts about this location is that they don't seem to run long waits for a table. We have always been able to get a table here, weekdays or weekends. The huge menu is perfect for a group. There are so many directions to go. From Hawaiian options to basic breakfast options and more. The kid meals have been a hit with my toddler. Recently, I ordered a Veggie Omelet (plus chorizo) and enjoyed it more than I expected. The omelet was really tasty and fluffy. It was full of the chosen ingredients. The hash browns were nice and crispy. I love restaurant sourdough with far more butter than I'd ever add at home. My husband loves their Loco Moco. My parents enjoy basic breakfasts or omelets. It's always a bad sign when you can't see prices on the menu. Usually that means the prices are way too high and you find out once you get there. By the way, egg prices have significantly been reduce by 75%. They went from $8/dozen in March to $2 in December. read more

The restaurant is a decent sized diner, mostly 4 seater booths and a few tables. They also have patio seating outside. We couldn't decide what to eat, the menu had so many options that sounded delicious. We decided to share the biscuits and gravy and then each ordered a meal. My daughter chose the enchilada omelette and I got the basic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns and a waffle. The portions are enormous! We could have fed 5-6 people with what we ordered. Everything was amazing and arrived quickly. The bacon was perfect. My favorite was the waffle although I wish they had real maple syrup. The biscuits were perfect and giant. This is definitely our new favorite local spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch however, I imagine it gets crowded and may be hard to get into on a typical weekend. We usually like this spot, but after today I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with parties larger than 4 because they just don't have the space to accommodate it and when you're finally seated they'll forget about you and serve everyone around you that were seated after you.
